A 79-year-old man admitted to the surgical intensive care unit presented with sudden-onset altered mental status. The patient is postoperative day six after an emergency exploratory laparotomy and cecal resection for cecal volvulus and a high-grade small bowel obstruction.

A 64-year-old man with type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and a history of nephrolithiasis presented with painless gross hematuria.
