    pre drawing up meds

    My department will draw up meds the night before for the next days patients. The meds that are drawn up are lidocaine syringes, and epi mixed with lido syringes. I was always taught this was forbidden. Meds could sit no longer than 8 hours before being tossed.  I could not find any literature to back this up. Does anyone have the facts on this?
