Sectra and Epic Integration
Posted by kaldridgewv2211 on October 11, 2022 at 1:35 pmAnyone using it? Wondering how you might have it setup. We’re going through the exercise of making them try and integrate. Doesn’t seem successful so far.

Interesting. They provided an eight page PDF to us describing their Epic integration capabilities … some require a minimum version, but they list many integration points. Curious to hear how you make out.
…
…allow for tight integration with Epic for radiologists … bi-directional context synchronization …-
probably hit the mark today. XML exchange appears to rely on a folder that both apps can access. So you can’t necessarily let is use the defaults.

Dan,
Please contact me so I can understand your difficulties. We have many customers integrated with Epic and I can give you contact info to speak to others. [email protected]-
We did. They wouldn’t talk to each other. So there was a little locally written ‘C’ program that made them talk. All fine and well until that program got hung up and there would be a list with hundreds of unmatched accession numbers. Good times. Nothing like spending millions with a vendor and getting crap.

Hello
We are using it at Hartford Healthcare. Have been for approximately 5 years. Takes a little work to get it setup, and when you upgrade Epic, there is typically an update that needs to be deployed to the reading workstations.
I can pull in the architect that worked on it from my team – if you’d like to discuss more please reach out @ [email protected]
