Pre-Populated Bi-Rads Catagories in Templates
I’m doing a survey to see who is pre-populateing a bi-rad catagorie into voice rec templates and who is leaving it blank and making the radiologist choose.

Seems to be a risky proposition. Overlook one patient that winds up with a bad outcome after getting a ‘normal’ report and you’ve got all sorts of liability, and added liability for the template, I am sure.
An ER doc once asked me if we could only print reports with findings to the ER printer … I asked what he would think about the printer running out of paper or otherwise going off line. He withdrew his request.-
We leave that blank at this facility and have templates for the rads to choose; BI-RADS is assigned by the radiologist who reads the study
