Emory IR going down
I visited this place in person and of course had my virtual interview which was a disaster. I totally regret my visit.
First of all, if you are a middle eastern man this is THE place for YOU!! However, if you happen to be Hispanic, black, white or female then please do not go here. more than 50% of the department is made up of Arab, pakistani, indian men with shocking demeanors.
also saw a gross behavior from their leader, dr. majdalany who by the way was late to the interview, showed up with a tshirt and started flirting his way with a female faculty. what a crazy institution! -

This comment saddens me. Hope you meet more guys who are from the Middle East and South Asia. We arent as bad as you think we are.

im sure there are incredibly nice middle eastern folks out there. but the ones that interviewed me were not nice. Dr. Loya asked me if i was planning to get pregnant in fellowship. that is NOT acceptable. I am debating whether or not to report them to ACGME. Dr. Loya also pressed me to tell him what other places I interviewed at (thought that was not kosher to ask on interviews). Funny enough, he had an opinion about every institution.

The emory run by Janice Newson? Who previously had the fellowship program run by Peters? The same program that has Findeiss? The same program who littered twitter with the I am woman hear me roar type posts and how they had all female resident classes?
Is this a troll? It has one of the heaviest female dominated programs in the country.
