  • EXA PACS (Konica Minolta) issue with Hologic DXA

    Posted by rex.walton_814 rex.walton_814 on June 3, 2023 at 6:44 am

When our physician practice was forced to switch from a no longer compliant EHR, we also had to convert/port all our prior imaging to a new PACS that plays nice with EPIC.
After the switch, I can no longer restore archived Hologic DXA scans onto the scanner that archived them to PACS.
Hologic, our IT company, and Konica/Minolta have formed a circular firing squad, all claiming its not their fault or problem.
    Any similar experiences? Suggestions?

Try a third party data migration provider like DICOMatics, Laitek, Laurel Bridgem  Mach7, DataFirst and several others instead of going through the vendors where it is never their fault.

that seems like jumping the shark tank.  What basic troubleshooting has been done?  I’m assuming the Hologic knows the new PACS and vice versa.  We took over a health system recently also and all of their Hologic DEXAs had windows firewall blocking the DICOM port/service needed to receive data.
