TR Bands and femoral sheaths
I just found we have cath lab techs that are applying TR bands and removing Femoral sheaths. I contacted the dept of health and they said they don’t have anything in our scop that says yes or no and to contact dept of profession. They said that a professional licence is needed to do these, which we have.
My question is, does any other site allow this from their techs?? Thanks -

Not uncommon for for certified, trained techs to do this

Probably different allowances state to state and hospital to hospital.

Ive seen a cardiology lab where older physicians had techs place Mynx closure because they knew how to use it better than the docs =)
That being said the physician is still the responsible provider no matter who does device deployment / pressure etc etc.
