Have the kids had enough? Middle school students push back on trans/gay pride celebration.
Burlington MA Marshall Simonds Middle School

Group of students protested after the school told students to wear bright colors to school for a Pride celebration. Students showed up for school wearing red, white, and blue and walked through school shouting USA are my pronouns and defaced pride material.

Parents have told local news outlets their straight-identifying students said they felt forced to participate and were ‘offended’ by a poster hung in the school bearing Tennessee Williams quote that reiterated that the human heart is ‘curved like a road through the mountains’ and only lines and streets can be straight. (Interesting not all the media outlets that ran the story say anything about the poster)

A parent whose daughter participated in the protest, said their intention was not to ‘hurt anybody’s feelings,’ but simply that they didn’t want to be forced to wear rainbow shirts. She also said her daughter, who is straight was offended by the poster and felt it was attacking straight kids.

In a video interview parent also discussed her daughter has told her that this is not a once issue. The gay trans material  is taught to them all year long. She also reported she has  sent emails to school officials regarding her daughters computer  teacher. The first issue was her daughter complained that rather teach the material the computer teacher often talked to the class about gay trans issues including sex.

In another incident the computer teacher talked negatively to the class about police officers. Her daughter (father is retired cop) and a couple of others spoke up in support and teacher cut them off and told them they had no idea what they are talking about.

And we wonder why kids cant read, write or do math.

Florida has lost their case denying trans people medicaid coverage for gender affirming care. [image]https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif[/image]

There is no rational basis for a state to categorically ban these treatments or to exclude them from the states Medicaid coverage.

The record includes testimony of well-qualified doctors who have treated thousands of transgender patients with GnRH agonists and cross-sex hormones over their careers and have achieved excellent results. I credit the testimony of Dr. Dan Karasic (psychiatrist), Dr. Daniel Shumer (pediatric endocrinologist), Dr. Aron Janssen (child and adolescent psychiatrist), Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy (specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine), and Dr. Armand Antommaria (pediatrician and bioethicist). I credit their testimony that denial of this treatment will cause needless suffering for a substantial number of patients and will increase anxiety, depression, and the risk of suicide. The clinical evidence would support, though certainly not mandate, a decision by a reasonable patient and parent, in consultation with properly trained practitioners, to use GnRH agonists at or near the onset of puberty and to use cross-sex hormones later, even when fully apprised of the current state of medical knowledge and all attendant risks.

The ban on treating minors with puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones violates the Fourteenth Amendments Equal Protection Clause. The only circuit that has addressed the issue agrees.  …Transgender and cisgender individuals are not treated the same. Cisgender individuals can be and routinely are treated with GnRH agonists, testosterone, or estrogen, when they and their doctors deem it appropriate, and the treatments are covered by Medicaid. Not so for transgender individualsthe challenged rule and statute prohibit it. To know whether treatment with any of these medications is covered, one must know whether the patient is transgender. And to know whether treatment with testosterone or estrogen is covered, one must know the patients natal sex.

..

The record establishes that for some minors, including Susan Doe and K.F., a treatment regimen of mental-health therapy followed by GnRH agonists and eventually by cross-sex hormones is the best available treatment. They and their parents, in consultation with their doctors and multidisciplinary teams, have rationally chosen this treatment. The State of Floridas decision to ban payment for GnRH agonists and cross-sex hormones for transgender individuals is not rationally related to a legitimate state interest. Dissuading a person from conforming to the persons gender identity rather than to the persons natal sex is not a legitimate state interest. The defendants apparently acknowledge this.   But the States disapproval of transgender status of a persons gender identity when it does not match the persons natal sexwas a substantial motivating factor in enactment of the challenged rule and statute.

I’m surprised fewer Republicans embrace this small government, traditional conservative approach to transgender therapy for children.

________________

[link]https://youtu.be/wB5YgDfbDsQ[/link]

“I don’t want any of those decisions made by the government,” Christie told “FOX & Friends” Thursday morning.

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asked this follow-up question: “So if a 14-year-old comes home and says they really want to start switching genders, that’s the parent’s decision?”

“Absolutely,” Christie said. “It’s more of a parent’s decision than it is the governor’s decision. Do you really think Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be making this decision for children in Arkansas? I love Sarah, I think she’s a great person and a really good governor, but I don’t think she would ever allow the government to substitute her judgment as a mother for their judgment. I wouldn’t want any government official coming in and telling me what decisions I can help my child through, and how I should do it. i want those decisions to be made by parents, not by the government.”

Kentucky’s ban on trans care for minors is likely unconstitutional, judge blocks enforcement
“Plaintiffs have shown a strong likelihood of success on the merits of their constitutional challenges to SB 150,” U.S. District Judge David Hale ruled.
[link=https://www.lawdork.com/p/kentucky-ban-on-trans-care-for-minors-blocked]https://www.lawdork.com/p…are-for-minors-blocked[/link]

As to equal protection, Hale wrote first of the claim raised by the challengers that the new law discriminates on the basis of sex and should, therefore, receive additional scrutiny from the court: [T]he Court concludesas has every other federal court to consider this questionthat heightened scrutiny applies to Plaintiffs equal-protection claim. He went on to rule that Kentucky Republican Attorney General Daniel Cameron who intervened to defend the law after medical officials and a member of Democratic Gov. Andy Beshears cabinet responsible for heath and family services said that they did not oppose the injunction had not shown that the law was sufficient to succeed under heightened scrutiny.
The ban therefore fails heightened scrutiny and Plaintiffs thus have a strong likelihood of success on the merits of their equal-protection claim, Hale concluded.
As to due process, Hale similarly ruled that the plaintiffs are likely to succeed in their claim that the new law violates parents fundamental right under the Due Process Clause generally regarding the raising of their children and, specifically here, to choose [puberty blocker and/or hormone] treatments for their children.

IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF TENNESSEE NASHVILLE DIVISION

“The Court therefore agrees with Plaintiffs that under binding Sixth Circuit precedent, parents have a fundamental right to direct the medical care of their children, which naturally includes the right of parents to request certain medical treatments on behalf of their children. The Court is not alone in finding the existence of such a right, as three other district courts to assess laws almost identical to SB1 have done likewise.”

“A law that infringes on a fundamental right must be narrowly tailored to advance a compelling state interest (i.e., it must survive strict scrutiny). See Carey v. Wolnitzek, 614 F.3d 189, 200 (6th Cir. 2010). If a law does too much, or does too little, to advance the [states] objectives, it will fail. Id. at 201. The state bears the burden of demonstrating that the law at issue survives strict scrutiny. See Reform America v. City of Detroit, Michigan, 37 F.4th 1138, 1156 (6th Cir. 2022). As discussed in detail below, the Court finds that Defendants have not met their burden of showing that SB1 is substantially related to an important government interest as to survive intermediate scrutiny. It necessarily follows that SB1 does meet the more demanding requirements of strict scrutiny. Plaintiffs have therefore demonstrated a substantial likelihood of success on the merits of their due process claim”
RFK Jr. Says Chemicals in the Environment are causing “Gender Confusion”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a history of repeatedly sharing unfounded conspiracies that man-made chemicals in the environment could be making children gay or transgender and causing the feminization of boys and masculinization of girls,[link=https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/13/politics/robert-kennedy-jr-chemicals-water-children-frogs/index.html]CNN[/link] reports.

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a history of repeatedly sharing unfounded conspiracies that man-made chemicals in the environment could be making children gay or transgender and causing the feminization of boys and masculinization of girls.

Experts dispute the claims from Kennedy, an environmental lawyer and anti-vaccine activist, and told CNNs KFile his theories that sexual identification and gender confusion among children could be from their exposure to endocrine disruptors found in the environment are completely unfounded.

I want to just pursue just one question on these, you know, the other endocrine disruptors because our children now, you know, were seeing these impacts that people suspect are very different than in ages past about sexual identification among children and sexual confusion, gender confusion, Kennedy said on his podcast in June last year. These kinds of issues that are very, very controversial today.

Like lots of “smart” people that have “done their own research,” RFK Jr. finds a set of facts … that there are chemicals in some of the American water supply, that some of those chemicals have endocrine effects, and that it is a legitimate environmental concern …

And then takes a logical lead across a chasm of speculation and conspiracy theory to reach a conclusion that simply isn’t supported.

That the conclusion he reaches just so happens to fit into right-wing talking points about trans people (that it must be a “disease” or “abnormal”) is just par for the course for his candidacy.

Just think, this water conspiracy fear & fear-mongering has been around since at least the 1940s by American conservatives. 80 years of nonsense beliefs spread & believed by this segment of Americans that are now mainstream & being spread by the likes of a Kennedy who really has zero ambitions for political office much less President.

Stupidity dragging willing fools by their noses while real issues like waste chemicals contaminating water and air are dismissed.

It IS a disease and it IS abnormal. If it wasn’t so, there would be no ethical justification to emergently treat juveniles and to perform surgery for it.

The identical argument once made about “just normal” homosexuality, abnormal and a disease. It was illegal, driving them underground, living a false life, sometimes driving them to suicide, all proof that it was abnormal and a disease, all justifying conversion therapy to “help.”

Transsexuals have been around since humanity came into existence, they just did not have hormone therapy or surgery until the 1940’s.

Whats the correct number of lesbians? Gay men? Bisexuals? Trans people? Is there a number that is too high? Too low? Just right?

Every year, Gallup releases a survey of how many Americans identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. The 2023 edition found it was about 7 percent. That percentage has held relatively steady over the past three years, but it is about double the percentage in 2012 (3.4 percent). Perhaps most notably, the number of transgender Americans has increased, as has the number of people who identify as nonbinary.

Marriage equality is now the law of the land, and more [link=https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2021/07/27/rising-shares-of-u-s-adults-know-someone-who-is-transgender-or-goes-by-gender-neutral-pronouns/]people know someone[/link] who is trans now than they did a few years ago. Many people now live in public, too, sharing their lives on social media with strangers. There are more visibly L.G.B.T.Q. people because there are more visible people, period.

But that visibility has produced a very strange complaint from some critics. L.G.B.T.Q. people are OK in theory, they seem to argue, but there are simply too many of them.

Has anything like this ever happened to any society, ever? Rod Dreher [link=https://www.theamericanconservative.com/no-families-no-children-no-future-lgbt-30-percent-carle-c-zimmerman/]asked[/link] in The American Conservative. Three out of 10 women under the age of 25 consider themselves to be gay or transgender. Five percent, sure. Maybe even 8 percent. But 30?

The increase in visible trans people is factual, of course. There are more out trans people and trans young people today than there were 10 or certainly 20 years ago, which makes sense, given that 20 years ago even the idea of legalizing same-sex marriage on a national level was a wedge issue so contentious that it may have helped [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2004/11/04/politics/campaign/samesex-marriage-issue-key-to-some-gop-races.html]tilt key races[/link]. But treating the increase as a [link=https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9106895/ABIGAIL-SHRIERS-investigation-exploding-numbers-girls-wanting-change-sex.html]diagnostic craze[/link] or cause for concern implies that there is a trans set point of sorts, a correct number of people who are permitted to be trans.

Isaac Schorr [link=https://www.nationalreview.com/the-morning-jolt/the-stale-insular-new-york-times/]put it similarly in[/link] National Review: To suggest that social suggestibility could be playing a role in the skyrocketing numbers of young girls expressing their desire to become males, for example, is not of course to say that gay and transgender people would not exist without these topics being discussed in the public square. Its only to say that people, and especially young people, are susceptible to being influenced on all manner of issues, especially when the arguments theyre hearing come from people in positions of authority such as teachers and are presented as truth.

This fear is based on an understanding of gender and sexuality as alarmingly fragile, easily undone by a gay teacher or a trans TikTok influencer. But the vast majority of people are straight and cisgender, and the vast majority will no doubt be so in the future. And that will be good, because heterosexuality is good. And so are homosexuality, bisexuality and being transgender.

Yes, more people are trans now than they were a few years ago. And thats normal.

yeah, let activists at school and on the internet brainwash my son into thinking hes a girl and then Ill prescribe him life altering harmful hormones which permanently sterilize him when hes a non-consenting minor and let him chop his genitals off and create an artificial nonfunctioning cavity in its place. Its my kid, after all.

By the way, did you hear that Washington state senate just passed a law that the state can shelter children away from their parents without parental notification if the parents refuse to affirm their childs chosen gender? All Democrats voted yes on SB5599 and all Republicans voted no.

I thought you said progressives wanted to keep the government out of it?

And NJ has gone to court to stop 3 school districts from enacting policies that require parents be notified  if child makes a change in their gender. Where are we going w this? States going to court to keep “secrets” from the parents.

Apparently its so easy.

The strong belief in conversion. Perhaps the likes of acpce1s have personal experience how easy it is?

What other explanation could there be?

5% of American adults under 30 identify as trans. 5 years ago, 0.6% of 18-29 year olds said they were trans.

The goth kids of yesteryear are akin to todays many of todays trans kids. Impressionable kids trying to find some group to fit in. Furthermore, many many kids who identify as trans, if let to mature normally, grow into normal happy healthy gay adults.

But people like you are OK with prescribing life altering sterilizing hormones and permanent disfiguring surgeries to minors.

And I am the bad person.

Canada issues a travel warning for LGBTQIA travel the USA because certain states are outlawing children at drag shows, preventing children from medication induced sterilization and genitalia mutilation, and preventing biological men from competing in womens sports.

Like what legislation? The fact that kids cant get their genitals removed in certain states anymore? Or that in certain states biological men are outlawed from competing against biological women in sports? What other specific legislation are you talking about that is targeting these people to where they should try to avoid travel to certain states?

Be specific.

What kids have their genitals removed? Where? When?

Do you also believe in Furries & kitty litter boxes in schoolrooms for use by Furries too? Or cis-men who get sex change operations so they can prey on your daughters in public bathrooms?

correct.  Which health systems and doctors are doing these surgeries?

I will say one thing.  Kids do dress up with tails on at high schools.  My nephew graduated last year.  Like 1000 kids in the class.  Had some kid with a tail on bark at him in the bathroom.  *there was no litter box* but there’s some weird kids.

I suggest Dan and Frumi go read the NYT articles by Azeen Ghorayshi, I believe it was Aug 23. For the NYT to print it was interesting.

The reporting included info on the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Childrens Hospital and what was happening w the kids. Some of the cases reported on the clinic are troubling.

Also, I previously posted under the a thread in the General Radiology forum that reviews of records had indicated there were over 50 kids that had genital surgery and over 700 kids had mastectomies. I believe the age of these kids was under 17.

The small Midwestern gender clinic was buckling under an unrelenting surge in demand.

Last year, dozens of young patients were seeking appointments every month, far too many for the clinics two psychologists to screen. Doctors in the emergency room downstairs raised alarms about transgender teenagers arriving every day in crisis, taking hormones but not getting therapy.

Opened in 2017 inside a childrens hospital affiliated with Washington University in St. Louis, the prestigious clinic was welcomed by many families as a godsend. It was the only place for hundreds of miles where distressed adolescents could see a team of experts to help them transition to a different gender.

But as the number of these patients soared, the clinic became overwhelmed and soon found itself at the center of a political storm. In February, Jamie Reed, a former case manager, went [link=https://www.thefp.com/p/i-thought-i-was-saving-trans-kids]public[/link] with explosive allegations, claiming in a whistle-blower [link=https://ago.mo.gov/docs/default-source/press-releases/2-07-2023-reed-affidavit—signed.pdf]complaint[/link] that doctors at the clinic had hastily prescribed hormones with lasting effects to adolescents with pressing psychiatric problems.

ransgender children have high rates of anxiety, depression and suicide attempts. The Dutch found that for a specific group adolescents with no severe psychiatric disorders who had experienced gender dysphoria since early childhood their depression lessened after taking puberty blockers.

Its clear the St. Louis clinic benefited many adolescents: Eighteen patients and parents said that their experiences there were overwhelmingly positive, and they refuted Ms. Reeds depiction of it. For example, her affidavit claimed that the clinics doctors did not inform parents or children of the serious side effects of puberty blockers and hormones. But emails show that Ms. Reed herself provided parents with fliers outlining possible risks.

Ms. Huttons son, who requested anonymity because of privacy concerns, is now in college, and said he was grateful he transitioned years earlier. I have normal-people problems, which is all that I ever wanted, he said.

Another patient, Chris, now 19, who also requested anonymity to protect his privacy, recalled Dr. Lewis patiently drawing diagrams on the paper sheet of his exam chair, explaining how testosterone would redistribute his body fat and permanently deepen his voice. Chris felt drastically improved after taking the hormone, he said, but was still distressed by his breasts. At 17, he went to a surgeon in Ohio for a mastectomy.

The biggest complaint I heard about the clinic was, We cant get in, Dr. Heiden-Rootes said.

——–

Frustrated that the clinic had no system to keep track of patient outcomes, Ms. Reed and the clinics nurse, Karen Hamon, kept a private spreadsheet, which they called the red flag list. (Ms. Reed gave The Times a version of the spreadsheet without identifying information. Ms. Hamon and other clinic employees declined to comment for this article.)

The list eventually included 60 adolescents with complex psychiatric diagnoses, a shifting sense of gender or complicated family situations. One patient on testosterone stopped taking schizophrenia medication without consulting a doctor. Another patient had visual and olfactory hallucinations. Another had been in an inpatient psychiatric unit for five months.

On a different tab, they tallied 16 patients who they knew had detransitioned, meaning they had changed their gender identity or stopped hormone treatments.

—–

After three years on the hormone, she realized she was nonbinary and told the clinic she was stopping her testosterone injections. The nurse was dismissive, she recalled, and said there was no need for any follow-ups.

Alex, now 21, does not exactly regret taking testosterone, she told The Times, because it helped her sort out her identity. But overall, there was a major lack of care and consideration for me, she said.

—–

Some families are not waiting for the legal proceedings to play out. Jennifer Harris Dault, a Mennonite pastor, moved her family from St. Louis to New York in July to ensure that her 8-year-old transgender daughter could get gender treatments when she nears puberty.

The more I see coming out of Missouri the more I know we made the decision that was right for us, she said.

There is also this about suicide rates for transgender people:

[link=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/27/health/transgender-suicide-risk-denmark.html?unlocked_article_code=XPkN-2i6jzcY7HqpEEY_dQe_jHPAGm3sbwg1P8Sq-VFhWFRCCHLKl7BGUj_tePgKKmIevsoCbaacbnCcu1AMBCecoJ40nSquLnSnSLkY9UNjB0UgAmLRDST-eZQwNPcUj00349JfaSaZNWV6fVxmFLk69f20vcofC7xgEBDgEbo1pubUYT4bDPk0tma9j2NE3a7VFsN_zAVEu6TTvizNBkMHMUDAFUQ_VGKe7sFqUTT4e3wSJ3u5Y9gPbXkp5LUyH6dvwsrOieyiS_R1CKXpW-FdsBNvLudefzzYdNv2iwSkg8b5UlC9Q4i1QLR3CejPUpnAfXRr3Y933z9O3wRaWKoJl2lDkAhn&smid=url-share]https://www.nytimes.com/2…Ahn&smid=url-share[/link]

Transgender people in the country had 7.7 times the rate of suicide attempts and 3.5 times the rate of suicide deaths compared with the rest of the population, according to the records analyzed in the study, though suicide rates in all groups decreased over time. And transgender people in Denmark died by suicide or other causes  at younger ages than others.

This is beyond doubt a huge problem that needs to be looked at, said Dr. Morten Frisch, a sexual health epidemiologist at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen and a co-author of the new study.

The findings, [link=https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/10.1001/jama.2023.8627?guestAccessKey=458dc50a-ea74-489c-bc68-c0128d48a4e3&utm_source=For_The_Media&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ftm_links&utm_content=tfl&utm_term=062723]published[/link] on Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association, come at a charged political moment in the United States, where Republican lawmakers across the country have enacted laws targeting sexuality and gender identity, restricting drag performances, bathroom use for transgender people and gender-related medical care.

Quite interesting how two people read the same article and make different conclusions.

Perhaps you have me blocked Frumi because I can’t quote your post automatically. I see you did what you usually do when embarrassed by fact. You quit the thread I shared the Hidden Brain podcast about hobby posting for at least the third time.

What kids have their genitals removed? Where? When?

Evidence is lacking.

How about ‘personal professional experience’ ? You want facility and patient names ?

From dealing with the industry as part of my work, I have found them to be sneaky and dishonest. They know its butchery, they know its abhorrent to anyone with scientific training and a conscience.

Do you also believe in Furries & kitty litter boxes in schoolrooms for use by Furries too?

I thought that was internet lore until two young kids, one a recent graduate, the other a junior of our local HS at the time were talking about it.  We apparently had a handful of ‘anthropomorphic dogs’ in our local HS. When spoken to, they responded by barking.
It appears to be more of an issue of oppositional defiant behavior rather than a true identity conflict along the lines of gender dysphoria. Those kids dont think they are dogs, they just figured that they can stay clear of truancy arrests while doing absolutely nothing with their school days. Asked a high school teacher who confirmed that this is real. School board has decided that they are better off just ignoring the problem rather than getting into expensive litigation.

Or cis-men who get sex change operations so they can prey on your daughters in public bathrooms?

Well, there is the documented case of a trans student assaulting more than one girl in the girls room in Loudon County VA. School tried to bury the information but it eventually got out. Other incidents of men with their d1ck out walking aound in womens changing rooms at the Y.

While you can certainly stick your head in the sand and ignore it, that doesn’t men its not real.

Facility. Obviously names, no. HIPAA for 1 thing and no one’s business for another.

As for butchery & dishonesty, there’s a lot of people out there who seem quite happy after getting your “dishonesty & butchery.”

“It appears to be more of an issue of oppositional defiant behavior rather than a true identity conflict”

Yes.

Men walking around with their penises out is certainly NOT a common occurrence with transgender women. However, if you ask about priests or gym teachers and coaches as just a few examples (ask Gym Jordan), you will find plenty of examples. As I recall, none of them were described as transgender predators. You’re really barking up the wrong tree. Getting surgery as a disguise to assault children is an unnecessary thing to do when so many do it without surgery. Just pretend you are there for the kids.

Look at that fw. Frumi proved again “left” is better than “right” and “blue” is better than “red”.

All the while conveniently ignoring fact and the real problem because it shows his ignorance.

This version of the story is not the same as yours.

[link=https://reason.com/2021/11/01/conservatives-wrongly-portrayed-the-loudoun-county-sexual-assault-as-a-transgender-bathroom-issue/]https://reason.com/2021/11/01/conservatives-wrongly-portrayed-the-loudoun-county-sexual-assault-as-a-transgender-bathroom-issue/[/link]

In June, a male student in a skirt reportedly assaulted a female classmate in a public school bathroom in Loudoun County, Virginia. It was a story that appeared to confirm the conservative media’s worst fears about how predatory men could theoretically take advantage of accommodations for transgender people in order to harm young girls, and it touched off a wave of protestswith the victim’s father, Scott Smith, at the center of them.

But it was substantially misreported in order to fit a conservative social agenda. Anyone on the right who makes a habit of complainingoften justifiablyabout the mainstream media gullibly succumbing to viral stories that fit their priors ought to denounce this as well.

Smith, the father, was [link=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQlf1S5EGiU]arrested[/link] for loudly protesting at a school board meeting on June 22. Cops bloodied him, placed him in handcuffs, and charged him with obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct. When it later emerged that Smith was angry with district officials because he thought they weren’t doing anything about his daughter’s rape, he became a conservative folk hero, and was interviewed repeatedly by right-leaning media. The Daily Wire [link=https://www.dailywire.com/news/loudoun-county-schools-tried-to-conceal-sexual-assault-against-daughter-in-bathroom-father-says]led the charge[/link], seizing on an opportunity to embarrass both the mainstream media and the federal government for portraying hostile parents as akin to [link=https://reason.com/2021/10/06/ag-merrick-garland-fbi-critical-race-theory-parents-schools-domestic-terrorists/]”domestic terrorists.”[/link]

The Daily Wire’s interview with Smith portrayed the idea that the daughter’s assailant was “gender fluid” as central to the story. The implicit idea is that the perpetrator wore a skirt in order to gain access to the women’s bathroom at Stone Bridge High School and carry out the attack. Over the summer, Loudoun County approved a new policy making it easier for transgender individuals to use the bathroom of their choice, and thus a connection was established between this policy and what happened to Smith’s daughter.

That policy wasn’t actually implemented until August, it turns out. But even if the school had begun enforcing it before that, there’s no reason to think the assailant’s actions had anything to do with accommodations for trans people.

Thanks for the link, finally. I know of his book but have not read it.

As for definition of “hobbyist,” that is you precisely.

Politics has not been my hobby since Vietnam which I actively opposed & Civil & Voting Rights which I actively supported, Long before your social media and the Internet(s), long before even BBs. Much longer before “remote participation.”

Where were you then?

You are too much Frumi. “Finally”. My gosh that was at least the fifth time I posted a link since it first aired. I have no idea why you never acknowledged seeing it despite getting upset when I mentioned it.

I’m glad you were/are “active”. That’s the best way. Good for you opposing Vietnam and supporting Civil & voting rights. I’m serious.

“where was I”? Well, I was a toddler to pre-teen. I missed most of those protests. However, I was influenced in school by my teachers. I wrote my 8th grade term paper on Martin Luther King, who became somewhat of a hero to me. I went to save the whales marches in Japan Town.

I then quit the Republican Party when Trump was elected. I have ongoing discussions with current and retired civil servants and politicians. I lobby friends who have the financial and political power to make a difference in elections as well as influence change in policy of active politicians.

I can’t help that you choose to hobby post on here, merely lashing out at other teams rather than participating in discussions about potential solutions. You might as well stop. You merely look foolish. It makes me sick to see you waste your time in here.

Removing body parts doesnt affirm your gender if gender is a social construct.
