• so is Trump Careless to have Kushner stay

if he can’t can’t get full security clearance then he needs to be out of the White House–if this was Huma/HRC-the GOP would be holding impeachment hearings while screaming Huma is selling spies to muslim terrorists

Arguably he was careless to bring him into the white house in the first place. He’s the definition of security issue. It’s known his debts increased in 2017 and his business is a strugglefest. So is he out representing US policy or out there representing Kushner Inc?

Keeping Kushner anywhere near the White House is careless. I judge Trump harshly for it.

Officials in at least four countries have privately discussed ways they can manipulate Jared Kushner, the presidents son-in-law and senior adviser, by taking advantage of his complex business arrangements, financial difficulties and lack of foreign policy experience,

Among those nations discussing ways to influence Kushner to their advantage were the United Arab Emirates, China, Israel and Mexico.

It is unclear if any of those countries acted on the discussions, but Kushners contacts with certain foreign government officials have raised concerns inside the White House and are a reason he has been unable to obtain a permanent security clearance.

The answer is no.

He was careless putting someone so devoid of any experience and skill into the Whitehouse to start with.

The answer is both–Careless to put him in there and careless Plus Stupid to let him stay–I know Bibi was milking it-like hello move embassy to Jerusalem
why is Bibi even still there–he has done NOTHING

Only one survives:

Jonathan Swan: The Trump family and the presidents oldest son, Don Jr., in particular was angry about the overwhelmingly negative TV coverage about Jared Kushner last night, and feels White House Chief of Staff Kelly is hanging Jared out to dry.

Over the past few weeks Ive found fewer people internally willing to defend Jared. Politically, Ive never seen him so exposed.

Said one White House official: Javanka and Kelly are locked in a death match. Two enter. Only one survives.

recall the oh so entitled Ivanka sent a tweet that she was happy to serve ALONG Kelly–like her ZERO experience a## is at the same level–both need to be sent packing–they don’t know what they are doing and have been involved in all the poor decisions made while they spend tax dollars to guard them as they go to fancy ski resorts
Bannon is dancing an Irish jig with beer right now–we have no idea what he told Mueller-like oh yeah let me give u the low down on Jared

The run of bad news for Jared continues:

[link=https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic…thers-je7dvy2p]https://www.bloomberg.com…artic…thers-je7dvy2p[/link]

New Yorks banking regulator has asked Deutsche Bank AG and a pair of local lenders to provide information about their relationships with Jared Kushner, his family and the Kushner Cos., according to people familiar with the matter.

The states Department of Financial Services sent letters to Deutsche Bank, Signature Bank and New York Community Bank last week, said one of the people, who described the letter. Seeking a response by March 5, the DFS asked about the banks relationships with Kushner and his business properties, as well as documents and communications about certain loan requests.

The broad request, which also covers the banks processes for approving loans, comes from Maria Vullo, the departments superintendent, who was appointed by New Yorks Democratic governor, Andrew Cuomo.

In fairness, it did seem that Kushner was being hailed by some as being a great middle-man for ME dialogue. For what reason? As far as I know, he’s the mediocre son of a real estate developer who spent time in jail. And we never voted for him to be in a position of influence in the White House.

Good riddance to him, as far as I’m concerned.

It would be a better comparison to say Obama sent Malia Obama to negotiate peace in the ME, however, he didn’t actually do that.  He also didn’t really surround himself with family and otherwise unqualified people to the extent Trump has.  POTUS of the swamp (as I type this Hope Hicks is resigning)

[link=https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/trump-slammed-clinton-over-handling-classified-info-looks-hypocrisy-now-n851891?cid=eml_pol_20180228]First Read[/link]:

If there was one issue Donald Trump campaigned on more aggressively than the others in 2016, it was the importance of handling classified information when it came to Hillary Clintons private email account and server Why is this stroll down memory lane important? Yesterday, we learned that White House senior adviser and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner who had access to highly classified information and was even viewing the Presidential Daily Brief lost his top-security clearance.

Weve seen the Trump White House engage in plenty of hypocrisy over the past year the vows to clean up the swamp, the promises that wealthy Americans wouldnt benefit under the tax law but its carelessness about who is seeing classified information might be the biggest hypocrisy of all.

And regarding that Washington Post report about how foreign governments have discussed how they can manipulate Kushner, no one can survive a story like that unless youre the presidents son-in-law.
[link=https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-deep-state-takes-out-the-white-houses-dark-clown-prince?ref=home]Jared Kushner had a very bad terrible no good day. Couldnt have happened to a nicer guy.[/link]
If youve ever filled out a form SF-86 for a U.S. government security clearance, youll know the hassle of dealing with the sheer volume of information it entails….

Its even harder when youre a corrupt, entitled snake who repeatedly lies about your finances to federal investigators and serves as a living, breathing poster child for privileged venality. Its even harder when youve rather clumsily attempted to use both your familial relationship and proximity to the president of the United States to save your familys failing real-estate empire.

Hear that? That was Americas intelligence community, down to the last GS-7, breathing a loud sigh of relief.

Kushner is a man who needs a billion dollars fast, and is willing to cast shame on the winds to get there. The stench of his venality and desperation hangs around him like stripper perfume, cloying and obvious. Jared all but hiked up his sassy pink petticoats while whistling Hey, sailor! to the Chinese, Israeli, Arab, and Russian investors he begged to invest in his failing 666 Fifth Avenue white elephant.

Kushner has no one to blame but himself. His ambition exceeded his abilities by orders of magnitude so vast it would take a team of advanced mathematicians a generation to devise a system by which to measure the differential. Even his simpering beta-male, child-voiced affect couldnt hide his spectacular reach and overpowering thirst for the power, influence, and financial rewards of Washington.

So what are we to get from this? A writer for a radical left wing website, who writes with the competence and vocabulary of a 10 year old, doesn’t like Kushner? Ok. Let’s hope Mueller gets everyone thrown in prison. Hope that will make life for liberal elitists more perfect. Not sure how much life will change for us average American peons.

Kushner created shell company to funnel Trump campaign spending to family pockets:

Business Insider says at least $617m in campaign donations went through the shell company, which avoided any federal disclosure requirements on campaign spending. Among those on the board were Lara Trump and John Pence.

Remember the “some people are saying the Bidens received up to $100m” schtick?

It’s always projection. We’re talking $600m+ here.

Irrelevant. Opinion piece by Gop strategist doesn’t make it any more important. Poor writer. You consider this an important article. Tell me what you learned. Kushner is unqualified and privileged? Yeah we didn’t know that. From what I’ve read here both sides think he should be out.

It’s a relevant point when you say it’s radical left but it isn’t.  I’m not an English language professor but it certainly appears to be well written.  Keep on spinning your yarn though.

It’s awesome writing ….

“This battle was only ever going to end one way, and in the war of the Deep State vs. Team Trump, the bad guys often make it easy by being greedy, sloppy, and stupid. Jared was all three.”

🙂

Glad you understand the silliness of your opinion pieces……

Kushner Co. pitched business directly to Qatar Finance Minister … and then …

The real estate firm tied to the family of presidential son-in-law and top White House adviser Jared Kushner made a direct pitch to Qatars minister of finance in April 2017 in an attempt to secure investment in a critically distressed asset in the companys portfolio, the [link=https://theintercept.com/2018/03/02/jared-kushner-real-estate-qatar-blockade/]Intercept[/link] reports.

The failure to broker the deal would be followed only a month later by a Middle Eastern diplomatic row in which Jared Kushner provided critical support to Qatars neighbors. Led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, a group of Middle Eastern countries, with Kushners backing, led a diplomatic assault that culminated in a blockade of Qatar. Kushner, according to reports at the time, [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/09/world/middleeast/rex-tillerson-calls-for-calm-in-middle-east-standoff-with-qatar.html]subsequently undermined [/link]efforts by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to bring an end to the standoff.

Let’s hope Mueller gets everyone thrown in prison. Hope that will make life for liberal elitists more perfect. Not sure how much life will change for us average American peons.

Mueller asking if Kushner financial dealings affected WH policy

Federal investigators are scrutinizing whether any of Jared Kushners business discussions with foreigners during the presidential transition later shaped White House policies in ways designed to either benefit or retaliate against those he spoke with, [link=http://nbcnews.to/2FMRTkK]NBC News[/link] reports.

Special Counsel Robert Muellers team has asked witnesses about Kushners efforts to secure financing for his familys real estate properties, focusing specifically on his discussions during the transition with individuals from Qatar and Turkey, as well as Russia, China and the United Arab Emirates, according to witnesses who have been interviewed as part of the investigation into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign to sway the 2016 election.

the lives of US soldiers  at Al Udeid Air Base (a military base southwest of Doha, Qatar) were put at risk due to a Jared bizness deal??? if this is true Jared should be thrown out of the WH like ASAP
and of course Thomas Barrack is right up there in the mix-Chi Tribune story:
In 2010, Barrack’s company acquired part of the distressed debt on 666 Fifth Avenue. He invested $45 million and eventually made a profit, he said.
In 2011, Trump called Barrack to arrange a meeting for Kushner. As Barrack recalled it, “Donald called and said: ‘Look, I have no idea what’s going on. Jared has some deal you have an interest in.’ “Kushner flew to California and told Barrack about his plan to salvage the project. He came alone, without lawyers, and Barrack was impressed. Kushner told him that investors should accept a restructuring plan to keep the project afloat – even though some of them would get less than they expected from their investment.  [strike][/strike]
[strike][/strike]
After 75 minutes, Barrack agreed to help, concluding that “it seems like it is in everyone’s interest to restructure this.” He said he called Trump and told him: “You should get down on your knees that your daughter found this kid. He is out of central casting. He was respectful, he was totally up to date on the facts and the numbers and had a very persuasive demeanor.”[strike][/strike]

saw this on Wapo blog–had to share
Here’s a theory. We know Kushner tried to get money from some Qataris. They had conditions, Kushner tried to have those met by some Chinese co. and then the whole thing fell apart. Axios covered all this almost a year ago. We also know Kushner tried to get his revenge by cooking up trouble with the UAE and Saudi buddies. All that cost Qatar an arm and a leg. Now, we also know in recent weeks Qatar invited who is who of the Jewish establishment to Qatar. Many went, including the right-wingers like Morton Klein and Dershowitz. Qatar made it look like they were merely trying to play nice and build good relations with  Israel, and of course wanted the Jewish leadership’s mighty foreign policy muscle exercised in DC on Qatar’s behalf.BUT, what if Qatar was inviting them on behalf of CIA and taped all their conversations, and they did it to get their revenge from Kushner by taping the ‘leaders’ engaged in foreign policy or worse?[strike][/strike]

Kushner filed false documents in New York

When the Kushner Cos. bought three apartment buildings in a gentrifying neighborhood of Queens in 2015, most of the tenants were protected by special rules that prevent developers from pushing them out, raising rents and turning a tidy profit, the [link=https://apnews.com/002703e70347481cb993027d04f543cc]AP[/link] reports.

But thats exactly what the company then run by Jared Kushner did, and with remarkable speed. Two years later, it sold all three buildings for $60 million, nearly 50 percent more than it paid.

Loans to Jared Kushner’s Family Company Are Now Under White House Scrutiny
[blockquote] The Office of Government Ethics has revealed that attorneys at the White House are examining whether loans to the company owned by Jared Kushners family violated federal ethics regulations or criminal law.

Kushner Companies is a real estate company that Jared Kushner ran before Donald Trump, his father-in-law, became president. The company received loans of $184 million from Apollo Global Management and $325 million from [link=http://fortune.com/fortune500/citigroup/]Citigroup[/link] since Kushner has been serving in a senior role at the White House. While Kusnher resigned as CEO of the real estate firm when he joined the administration, he still owns a portion of the business, including stakes in the entities that received the loans.

Shortly before the loans in question were made, Kushner met several times with Joshua Harris, co-founder of Apollo Global Management, and once, in the White House, with Michael Corbat, CEO of Citigroup. The New York Times reported that Kushners meetings with Harris [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/28/business/jared-kushner-apollo-citigroup-loans.html?mtrref=www.wsj.com]involved discussions of a possible White House role[/link].

President Trump ordered his chief of staff to grant his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, a top-secret security clearance last year, overruling concerns flagged by intelligence officials and the White Houses top lawyer.

Mr. Trumps decision in May so troubled senior administration officials that at least one, the White House chief of staff at the time, John Kelly, wrote a contemporaneous internal memo about how he had been ordered to give Mr. Kushner the top-secret clearance.

The White House counsel at the time, Donald McGahn, also wrote an internal memo outlining the concerns that had been raised about Mr. Kushner including by the C.I.A. and how Mr. McGahn had recommended that he not be given a top-secret clearance.

The disclosure of the memos contradicts statements made by the president, who told the [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/31/us/politics/trump-wall-investigations-interview.html?module=inline]New York Times[/link] in January in an Oval Office interview that he had no role in his son-in-law receiving his clearance.

I’ve been wondering if (and I’m guessing it does) tie into Kushner meeting the Saudis.  How can you say I don’t know when we’re talking about selling nuclear technology to the Saudis.  This all seems pretty shady.

“U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry told lawmakers on Thursday he did not know whether any of the approvals he authorized for U.S. companies to sell nuclear power technology to Saudi Arabia were made after the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October last year.”

What makes this plan more painful is when you
consider all the successful peace plans prior to tjis.

It’s not a peace plan.  It’s a kowtow to Bibi plan.  I would suggest this plan will cause anything but peace.

A real estate company part-owned by Jared Kushner has received $90m in foreign funding from an opaque offshore vehicle since he entered the White House as a senior adviser to his father-in-law Donald Trump, the [link=https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jun/10/jared-kushner-real-estate-cadre-goldman-sachs]Guardian[/link] reports.

Investment has flowed from overseas to the company, Cadre, while Kushner works as an international envoy for the US The money came through a vehicle run by Goldman Sachs in the Cayman Islands, a tax haven that guarantees corporate secrecy.

Don’t worry.  I’ve been assured by CNN, MSNBC, Biden, Pelosi, et. al that that kind of behavior is okay.

Snowflakes …

Mark Kasowitz sends THe Lincoln Project a cease and desist letter on behalf of Javanka over Time Square Billboard ad

The attorneys in a letter to The Lincoln Project complained about one billboard showing Trump, a senior adviser to her father, smiling and gesturing next to figures showing over 33,000 New Yorkers and 221,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. The lawyers also cited a billboard featuring Kushner, another senior White House adviser, next to body bags and an unrelated 2019 quote from before the pandemic in which he said New Yorkers would suffer.

I am writing concerning the false, malicious and defamatory ads that the Lincoln Project is displaying on billboards in Times Square, wrote attorney Mark Kasowitz. If these billboards are not immediately removed, we will sue you for what will doubtless be enormous compensatory and punitive damages.

The Lincoln Project Response:

The level of indignant outrage Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have shown towards The Lincoln Project for exposing their indifference for the more than 223,000 people who have lost their lives due to their reckless mismanagement of COVID-19 is comical. While we truly enjoy living rent free in their heads, their empty threats will not be taken any more seriously than we take Ivanka and Jared.”
It is unsurprising that an administration that has never had any regard or understanding of our Constitution would try to trample on our first amendment rights, but we fully intend on making this civics lesson as painful as possible.

Any lawyer who writes :

‘we will sue you for what will doubtless be enormous compensatory and punitive damages.’

…will have difficulty being taken seriously. That’s the kind of stuff some psychotic hobo writes in his pro-se suit against the transit authority.

Reminds of the classic story here in Cleveland.

as read on twitter.  It’s kind of like if Hannibal Lecter could nominate Jeffrey Dahmer for a Michelin Star.

Jared Kushners Deal Almost Led to Coup in Jordan
Jordanian investigators say alleged coup plotters arrested in April including King Abdullah IIs half-brother were hoping to destabilize their own country so they could promote Jared Kushners grand Middle East peace deal, the [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/06/11/jordan-saudi-trump-netanyahu-deal/]Washington Post[/link] reports.

King Abdullah opposed Kushners deal.

Jared Kushner, Trumps son-in-law and chief adviser on the negotiations, embraced Netanyahu and MBS but grew increasingly antagonistic toward the Jordanian king. It became a belief of Trump that the king was a hindrance to the peace process, says one former senior CIA official. While Trump, Netanyahu and MBS dont appear to have been working to overthrow the king, their actions clearly weakened him and encouraged his enemies.

Trumps campaign for normalization of Arab relations with Israel was laudable. It yielded the so-called Abraham Accords that forged new links between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco. But the prize Trump and Kushner wanted most was Saudi Arabia and to clear the way, they tried to muscle Jordan, for decades one of the United States closest Arab allies.

Now the winds have shifted: Trump has left office, and Netanyahu appears to be on his way out. Jordan is back in favor, and Abdullahs advisers say he will visit the White House this summer, the first Arab leader to meet personally with President Biden. MBS is in limbo with the Biden administration and still awaiting a presidential phone call or invitation.
Jared Kushner to leave politics, launch investment firm – sources

Kushner, the former chief executive of Kushner Companies, who served as the Republican president’s senior adviser in the White House, is in the final stages of launching an investment firm called Affinity Partners that will be headquartered in Miami.
Kushner, who is married to Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, is also looking to open an office in Israel to pursue regional investments to connect Israels economy and India, North Africa and the Gulf, said two people briefed on the plan, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

He’s made so many successful purchases.  I’m sure people will line up to give him money
