Trump Attacks No Talent Rihanna Ahead of Super Bowl
[link=https://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-slams-no-talent-rihanna-ahead-of-super-bowl-half-time-show?ref=home]Daily Beast[/link]
Donald Trump has launched a stinging attack on pop star Rihanna ahead of her performance at the Super Bowl half time show on Sunday
His comments came after Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) called on the NFL to remove Rihanna from the Super Bowl half time show line-up for a 2020 incident where she went to the famed Cadillac Ranch in Texas and spray painted Fuck Donald Trump in an act of political protest that she called art.

[link=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/22/us/politics/trump-east-palestine-ohio-visit.html]New York Times[/link]: It was evocative of the former presidents time in office: an at-times meandering address, punctuated by self-promotion his brand-name Trump Water and an undercurrent of grievance. He still appeared to struggle with showing empathy in public.

He did go to MickyDs while he was in town and bragged about knowing the menu better than the employees.  Should’ve went to the JibJab Hot Dog shop.

Hmmm, all those people around Trump including JD allegedly in support dont know it was Trump who discarded safety rules for the railroad? But Biden is to blame?

Yeah they are to dumb to realize they were walking into a trap

Kinda like the arsonist going to the scene of the crime

Funniest thing I heard today in 2 minutes of walking past FOX news in the doctors lounge- Brian kilmead angrily screaming for more regulation

Gimme a fng break

No no no .. it’s Pete Buttigieg’s fault … apparently for Trump rolling back train safety regulations because, you know, you have to cut 2 regulations for every one … because logic!

It’s totally normal and not-at-all overt partisan hackery to go after the Transportation Secretary for this stuff. Everyone remember how much heat Democrats put on Elaine Chow for every flight cancellation and train derailment from 2017-2021.  [image]https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif[/image]  It has nothing at al to do with the fact that Pete is a leading Presidential contender for 2028.

Tell the entire story. Yes  Trump rolled regs back but if he didn’t it wouldn’t matter.

That rule would not have prevented the East Palestine crash, because while the NTSB had urged the Obama administration to include more trains with dangerous cargo in its policy, the administration issued a less strict rule. (Christopher Wilson )

From CNN
Experts told CNN that the regulations likely would not have impacted the derailment in East Palestine because the train did not meet the criteria laid out by the Obama administration-era regulation.

why wouldn’t it have?  i was listening to some interview with a someone who was knowledgeable on trains.  Obama era regulations called for electronically controlled pneumatic brakes.  Which means all train cars get the signal to stop right away.  Old brakes do not. The signal moves from car down to the next car for the whole mile plus of train.  Those cars were supposed to be better equiped by 2023.  The train industry fought that because it would cost money to make the cars brake better.  The guys that worked this specific train called it the nasty.

I’m all for common sense regulation.  These trains should have better brakes.  Maybe that finally happens now.  Upgrading infrastructure would also help.

why wouldn’t it have

Because the rail lobby successfully got the Obama administration to water down the regulations by making the definition of a hazardous train as one having 70 or more cars/tanks of hazardous materials.

The OH derailment was a train with fewer than 70.

Trump Is As Electable Now As He Was in 2016
[link=https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2023/03/trump-is-as-electable-in-2024-as-he-was-in-2016.html]Ed Kilgore[/link]: An odd amnesia seems to have obliterated memories of how completely screwed Trump initially seemed as a prospective rival to Hillary Clinton. According to the RealClearPolitics polling averages from that year, Trump trailed Clinton by nearly 20 points in trial heats shortly after he announced his candidacy. Yes, he did better in later polls, but despite the partisan hype, few people were convinced he would win. He was all but written off by a variety of party figures after the Access Hollywood tapes came out in October 2016. Republican senators Kelly Ayotte, John Thune, Deb Fischer, Mike Crapo, Cory Gardner, Mark Kirk, Lisa Murkowski, and Dan Sullivan, as well as governors Gary Herbert and Bill Haslam, all renounced their support for him instantly. ThenSpeaker of the House Paul Ryan told his members they should feel free to abandon their presidential nominee.

How electable did he look then? Even when the furor had calmed down, there was a raging debate among pollsters and pundits aimed at Nate Silvers allegedly too positive projection that Trump had a 29 percent chance of winning. And disputes about how so many people got so much of the 2016 election wrong dragged on for years.

So are we now supposed to believe that the Republicans who made Trump president in 2016 are going to write him off in 2024 because he cant possibly win? The same Donald Trump who again defied the polls and nearly pulled off another shocker in 2020? And the same Republican voters who to a considerable extent believe Trump actually won a second time? This does not make a great deal of sense.
[link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/media/2023/03/07/rupert-murdoch-fox-news-dominion/]Murdoch confided Trump was going increasingly mad as Fox pushed false claims[/link]
In the weeks after the November 2020 election, Rupert Murdoch, the powerful chairman of Fox Corp., fretted that Donald Trump, the president he had supported, was going increasingly mad.

He vented about the pollsters who worked for him at Fox News. I hate our Decision Desk people! he wrote in one email as the network driven by analysis from the unit prepared to declare that Joe Biden had won the election.

He worried some ideas proposed by Trumps allies to convince state legislatures to reject Biden victories in key swing states sound ridiculous and could lead to riots like never before.

Surprised to hear that Donald Trump is apparently claiming that my late sister Diana wanted to kiss his arse. The one time she mentioned him to mewhen he was using her good name to sell some real estate in New Yorkshe clearly viewed him as worse than an anal fissure.
Trump to Rally in Waco on 30th Anniversary of Government Standoff
Donald Trump will hold a rally in Waco, Texas for a predicted 15,000 supporters, the [link=https://wacotrib.com/news/local/govt-and-politics/preparations-for-trump-rally-in-waco-a-shared-effort/article_83edccb2-ca78-11ed-84d6-776bf17ea0f5.html#tracking-source=home-top-story]Waco Tribune-Herald[/link] reports.

[link=https://heathercoxrichardson.substack.com/p/march-24-2023]Heather Cox Richardson[/link] notes its the anniversary of a 1993 government siege to extricate the leader of a religious cult who witnesses said was stockpiling weapons led to a gun battle and a fire that left seventy-six people dead

After the Waco siege the modern militia movement took off, and Trump is clearly using the anniversary to tap into domestic violence against the government to defend him in advance of possible indictments.

The Trump Show Is Back
[link=https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/31/business/media/trump-indictment-media.html]New York Times[/link]: After a brief hiatus, The Trump Show is back. Americans, ready or not, are now along for another roller-coaster ride with a protagonist whose pre-eminence in the media universe had begun to fade.

Banned from Twitter, Mr. Trumps outbursts and grievances had stopped shaping the news cycle. Out of office, he became inherently less newsworthy. He even vanished from Fox News, his usual television home, for about four months beginning in November.

Now Mr. Trump has well and truly returned.

Heres how Donald Trump described meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping [link=https://www.mediaite.com/trump/top-of-the-line-trump-absolutely-fawns-over-brutal-dictators-putin-xi-and-kim-jong-un-to-tucker-carlson/]on Fox News[/link] last night:

President Xi is a brilliant man. If you went all over Hollywood to look for somebody to play the role of President Xi, you couldnt find, theres nobody like that.

The look, the brain, the whole thing. We had a great relationship. You know, when he first came to Mar-a-Lago, It was so organized by them and by us, but by them very pom, pom, pom. Everythings like business. No games, you know.

Heres his take on North Koreas Kim Jung Un:

You know, when you come out and as a young man at 24, 23, even though he sort of inherits it, most people when they inherit, they lose it. And thats easy stuff.

He took over a country, a very smart people, very, very energetic people, very tough people at a very young age. And he has total dominate control. Thats not easy. These are these are very smart.

Heres what he says about Russian president Vladimir Putin:

You cant beat Russia. Russia right now, Im not saying anything out of school. I read it in one of our newspapers. So, you know, its probably fake news, but maybe not. I dont think it is.

Ill only credit that Phil and him shouldve been playing different length course. Couple interesting things. LOL at the Pro Golf staff working at Bedminster who wrote his President Trump as the first name on the score board and all the other names alphabetical after his. Golf is about integrity and that lacks it. Also yeah no chance even from senior tees did he shoot 67.

Heres the video someone got of him dead shanking a 30 yard shot of the hozel. Think this was from bedminster.

Donald Trump attacked Ann Coulter [link=https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/111019820028807913]on Truth Social[/link] as a washed up pundit who went unbearably crazy with her demands.
