• Jim Jordan [R-OH] Accused of “Turning a Blind Eye” to Sexual Abuse at tOSU

Posted by btomba_77 on July 3, 2018 at 8:16 am

”Powerful GOP Rep. Jim Jordan accused of turning blind eye to sexual abuse as Ohio State wrestling coach

“At the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesnt know what was going on,” a former Ohio State wrestler said.:

Rep. Jim Jordan, the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio, is being accused by former wrestlers he coached more than two decades ago at Ohio State University of failing to stop the team doctor from molesting them and other students.

The university announced in April that it was investigating accusations that Dr. Richard Strauss, who died in 2005, abused team members when he was the team doctor from the mid-1970s to late 1990s.

Jordan, who was assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994, has repeatedly said he knew nothing of the abuse until former students began speaking out this spring. His denials, however, have been met with skepticism and anger from some former members of the wrestling team.

Three former wrestlers told NBC News that it was common knowledge that Strauss showered regularly with the students and inappropriately touched them during appointments, and said it would have been impossible for Jordan to be unaware; one wrestler said he told Jordan directly about the abuse.”

I think Jim “Joe Paterno” Jordan might be in for a bit of a rough stretch

Good. Few deserve it as much as he does. Especially if he’s an child sexual abuse enabler.

Everything for the team. And money. It’s always about the money.

Jim’s had a rough couple of weeks.  Be interesting to see how he escapes this one.

“Strauss wasnt the only Ohio State official who showered with the team, DiSabato said. After practice ended at 3:30 p.m., some university professors, administrators and others would show up in the shower stalls just as the athletes were arriving, he said.

It was, DiSabato said, like walking through the gauntlet of sexual deviancy.”

Wrestler says Jordan personally witnessed abuse

Mike DiSabato told [link=https://twitter.com/CNNnewsroom/status/1014590930563682305]CNN[/link] that not only was Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) aware of the alleged sexual abuse on the Ohio State wrestling team, but that he personally witnessed inappropriate behavior in the team shower.

DiSabato described an environment where student-athletes shared a shower with staff and faculty members who were involved in lewd acts that included public masturbation and excessive soaping of their groin area.

Said DiSabato: I considered Jim Jordan a friend. But at the end of the day, he is absolutely lying if he says he doesnt know what was going on.

As someone who’s had to use the community shower, no one was ever jacking it while showering. However, why we’re these dudes watching someone suds up their bits. This story seems weird even for Jim Jordan.

So Rosenstein went back 40 yrs & got Jordans coworker to molest 2000 boys all to hurt Jordan in 2018.

“{The} wrestlers, including former UFC world champion Mark Coleman, said this week that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was aware of, but didnt respond to, allegations of sexual misconduct by an Ohio State University team doctor when the lawmaker was an assistant wrestling coach there in the 1990s, the [link=https://www.wsj.com/articles/former-ohio-state-wrestlers-say-rep-jim-jordan-knew-of-team-doctors-alleged-misconduct-1530836633?mod=e2tw]Wall Street Journal[/link] reports.

Said Coleman: Theres no way unless hes got dementia or something that hes got no recollection of what was going on at Ohio State I have nothing but respect for this man, I love this man, but he knew as far as Im concerned.

JJ’s calling the capitol police because he has gotten too many emails from the former students and is being bullied.  They love to play the victim.

Funny how Jordan never noticed the crowds of non-wrestler & non-athletes people suddenly requiring a long shower while the wrestlers were also taking a shower.

Nothing unusual there.

Really? So lets see. Sometime ago you posted I was a bigot because I commented on how the Catholic Church had a financial interest in immigration because they were receiving millions of dollars from the Feds for immigration services. You rushed to the defense of the biggest religious clergy group of pedophiles in the world, over 6500 cases and still rising. You probably give them money while you sit in the pew on Sunday.

You find it acceptable to continually post about evangelicals and their political views while defending, by name calling, the financial interest of a religious clergy full of pedophiles. You post such comments like nut grabber and NAMBA making such false nasty accusations in which there is no such proof. But that is not Fup?

Nowhere in my post did I defend him. I simply posted there was a recant and the cj members were not going to post it.

I actually know several of the wrestlers from that era

They all say its true

They have no axe to grind with anyone but they know Jordan personally and they like him

But all say he is lying through his teeth and they are surprised he just doesnt man up and say yes I knew … everyone knew …. we were young and should of spoke up

Thats all

Whats right is right

That being said

American evangelicals are pieces of excrement with no morals

As for the Catholic Church

Yes they have their problems and they continue to clean them up in public but they are consistently moral in their message and their views

Furthermore any catholic priest guilty of crimes need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and the church should pay damages

Unlike evangelicals Catholics own up to their errors

Evangelicals just try to change the rules

Thats why they American evangelicals are prices of excrement

And here you go again defending the religion of pedophile clergy. You post on the hypocrisy of the evangelicals and then defend the Catholic clergy with this totally untrue Consistently moral in their message BS. If they were consistently moral, there would not have been 6500+ known sexual abuse cases would there? There would NEVER have been any poor child molested by the clergy. There would not have been a massive cover up. The child molestation would not still be going on would it? The Pope just stripped a high ranking cardinal due to this issue. Another one is on trial in Australia and you think they are morally consistent. If that is the case why in parts of the country are they closing churches and schools due to the fleeing from the catholic cult ? And you defend them, sit in their pews and listen to these so called moral clergy sermons and give them money but make nasty comments about another religious group.

they continue to clean them up in public
Only because they got caught. For years they moved pedophile priests around so they could molest more kids. They had to open up a facility in Baltimore to treat only to send them back to minister and back to molesting kids. And this is your BS answer.

American evangelicals are pieces of excrement with no morals
So catholic clergy molesting kids have morals, but conservative evangelicals dont? You use no  nasty terms to describe your religious leaders and you defend them but have it for conservative evangelicals.

And Jordan is a known nut grabber

You have no proof to post this in a forum other than you know someone. There were 15 wrestlers that came forward to dispute what the others claim. Also, his two leading accusers are not what some would call model citizens. I am not defending him. Let the investigation play out w/o your proof less accusations.

There are more wrestlers who came forward about Jim the Nut grabber than 15

I personally know 4 of the guys who were on the wrestling team at the same time Nut Grabber was an assistant

They like Jordan but also realize he is Arse covering

You dont have to believe anything but these guys arent making sheet up and they arent seeking any fame

As for the Catholic Church …. they are not perfect

But they are consistent….. they are pro life not just anti abortion but they are pro life in the purist sense

They defend the poor. They defend the downtrodden

They dont build walls or separate families

If they have a problem they admit it own and try to get rid of the problem

American evangelicals hide their issues and deny them. They are pro life but advocate separating children from their mothers. They are for family values but worship a president who has been divorced twice married 3 times and cheats on his wife with porn stars and other pigs

Catholic Church is not perfect but American evangelicals are peices of hypocritical Fecal excrement

Nice attempt at deflection trying to bring in the molestation in other religions which is not what the posts were about. It is a known fact that other religions have serious issues w their clergy molesting.  The issue of the posts were because you wrote that people who defend something are Fd up.

Keep giving your money to the catholic cult. They need it to pay out their victims of their consistent moral message.

Nothing I said was untrue or hypocritical

I give a little to the Catholic Church every week. Catholic charities is a very good organization and my donation supports them and my local church community

My local church operates a homeless shelter a food pantry and a separate daily soup kitchen ( both of which my wife and I work at a few days a month)

My local church also supports a 2 local homes for abused and battered women

That being said I understand the Catholic Church and some priests do some bad things occasionally but locally we do a lot of good that no one brags about or seeks moral superiority for

So Im OK donating a few bucks weekly to my church

And BTW another poster a few days ago was bragging about donating to the NRA…….. now you tell me who the bigger fool is

So much hate on this thread particularly from the lefties. Kpack — you called all evangelicals in this country “pieces of excrement with no morals”?? What reality do you live in where its ok to characterize entire groups of people like that? You are truly a piece of work. Hate and prejudice are never ok — why do the left think its ok to trash white conservatives (evangelicals) and expect no consequences. Double standard. Terrible. Ignorant. Grow up.

I dont give the priests who are pedophiles a pass

You are giving Jim Nut Grabber an automatic pass because one guy out of 50 allegedly retracted a statement

I called all American Evangelicals peices of fecal excrement

This is pure intolerance — and typical of the left. At least you are honest. What a loon you are. Way out on the fringe. You remind me of a teenager — so cocksure and self righteous but you really have no clue. So much anger in you. Im not offended just incredulous that a grown person with I would assume a fairly high level of intellect and at least some wisdom as a doc can think this way.

I love when the left gets morally outraged by Trump —

There was a binary choice in the election. Trump or Hillary. Hillary to Evangelicals was way worse than Trump. She supports late term abortion and all manner of progressive things that evangelicals don’t like. They made a binary choice.

Bill Clinton ejaculated on a 20 year old in the oval office while his wife was over in the east wing working on HIPPA. He also is buds with Jeffrey Epstein who is a known pedo and runs an island brothel. Clinton has also been accused of rape and sexual harassment by scores of women.

Trump has been accused of having a consensual extra marital affair.

Seems like Clinton is maybe worse? Where is your outrage over Bill Clinton? Or does your outrage out of convenience only pertain to those whose politics you oppose. Anything for the cause right?

So hypocritical. So typical of the left.

Quick points

1. Bill Clinton is and was not running

2. Could you really imagine if Hillary didnt show her taxes or if Chelseas husband became a close advisor. Et. Could you imagine the outrage on the right and the claims of improper behavior

3. Evangelicals are pro-life. I respect that as I am too …. but what about the lives of the babies separated from their mothers at the borders? Dont their lives matter too? What about the poor and those living in poverty? What are the evangelicals doing for them???

I dont know Spears it seems to me that there is a lot more anger from the right

The border tragedy is not Trumps mess.

If you are arrested for a felony, and your children are with you — guess what you get separated from your children. Not sure why its confusing that lawbreakers go through this process. If they came through a port of entry and requested asylum, no separation. Blame the morons running through the desert with their little kids. Don’t blame ICE or Trump. Grow Up.

1) Increase border security — build a wall/more personnel/advertise how serious we are
2) enact merit based immigration policy like every other country
3) grant amnesty to non-fellons already here

In that order.
Simple.

Do you know the difference between a refugee and “illegal?” I am guessing that to you these are one and the same.

These people are refugees, not illegals. Coming to a border requesting refuge does not make anyone a criminal and illegal except in anti-immigrant circles.

The deliberate message, “We don’t want you people. We don’t care about your problems. If you approach our border we will take your children and lose them & you might never see them again. Even we the government don’t know where they were taken.”

Typical — a liberal gets confused by the facts because they aren’t supported in the liberal media.

Those who properly go to ports of entry and request asylum (aka refugees) aren’t separated. [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/09/us/politics/customs-border-protection-family-separations.html]https://www.nytimes.com/2…amily-separations.html[/link]

Those who sneak across are illegals and are felons and yes they are separated. Who knows whose kids they are? Don’t we have to protect the kids? Could be sex traffickers. Its an impossible situation but separation, while tragic, probably saves lives.

Further — what is a refugee really? Is a refugee someone who doesnt like their economic situation? Well so what do we do? let everyone into our welfare system? Thats just obviously unsustainable. Refugees in the classic sense were persecuted people political religious etc. Not just peel who want to live in a nicer place. Maybe the Mexicans should focus on making Mexico great again. Its a beautiful country with tremendous natural resources. I love Mexico.

Again

Tell Jesus why you separate a mother from her child

You can send them back together

You can detain them together before you send them back

Perhaps I am
Self righteous but separating them is not on cruel and unusual punishment (if memory serves me thats part of the constitution outside of the second amendment)

And again for our evangelical posters…… what would Jesus do?

Kpack — your more of a troll than an debater.

“Jesus, I am separating this child temporarily from his parents because I am one of a few people tasked with the enormous responsibility of ensuring their safety. Right now these folks are criminals because they broke the law by illegally crossing our border. I cannot right now even guarantee that this child actually belongs to this family. Just like we separate children from citizen felons, we are going to do it here. I will place the child in a nice facility with food and running water and childcare specialists. I will train this child how to use indoor plumbing since he didn’t have that in el salvador. I will return this child to his parents or to relatives in country once I figure out his situation – Amen”

Btw I am not an evangelical, nor am i particularly religious. Conservatism and evangelicalism are two very different things. But you wouldn’t know that You are basically me when I was 15 — “hey man these conservatives are nazis dude” educate yourself.

What would have happened if the media exposed it when Obama did it? Oh that’s right they did run the picture of kids in cages (the one they at first said was the current administrations doing & retracted their fake news) and it got no traction because it was Obama in office.  And while Obama was doing it Frumi and kpack were silient.

Spear you are correct. There is a difference between illegal and a refugee based on how/where you cross. Like most liberals they want to let everyone in and let us pay for it all. The Administration is making many contradictory claims, probably deliberately so in order to confuse the issue.

[link=https://www.aclu.org/blog/immigrants-rights/immigrants-rights-and-detention/fact-checking-family-separation]https://www.aclu.org/blog…king-family-separation[/link]

There is no law that requires the Trump administration to separate families.
This crisis stems from a series of policy choices the Trump administration made. In fact, reports arose as early as December 2017 that the administration was considering a plan to separate border-crossing parents from their children. In March, then-DHS Secretary John Kelly confirmed this, [link=http://thehill.com/latino/322608-dhs-head-confirms-hes-considering-separating-families-at-border]saying[/link] it would help deter Central Americans from coming to the United States.
Do the courts require family separation?
Absolutely not despite the claims of GOP leadership to the contrary.

In June 2017, the administration ended the [link=https://www.theatlantic.com/news/archive/2017/06/ice-shuts-down-program-for-asylum-seekers/529887/]Family Case Management Program[/link], which allowed families to be placed into a program, together, that connected them with a case manager and legal orientation that ensured they understood how to apply for asylum and attend immigration court proceedings.

The program had a [link=https://www.womensrefugeecommission.org/images/zdocs/The-Real-Alternatives-to-Detention-FINAL-06-27-17.pdf]99.6 percent[/link] appearance rate at immigration court hearings for those enrolled in the program. Its not only a more humane alternative to family prisons; its far less costly for taxpayers.

Despite that success, the administration chose to end this program only a few months after it was first reported that Kelly then-Secretary of Homeland Security was considering family separation as a deterrent strategy.
Is the administration separating asylum-seeking families who enter at ports of entry?
Yes, despite claims to the contrary. On June 17, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen took to [link=https://twitter.com/SecNielsen/status/1008467510906228736]Twitter[/link] to defend family separation, saying, For those seeking asylum at ports of entry, we have continued the policy from previous administrations and will only separate if the child is in danger, there is no custodial relationship between ‘family’ members, or if the adult has broken a law.

In case Secretary Nielsen forgot, shes currently a defendant in our [link=https://www.aclu.org/cases/ms-l-v-ice]class action lawsuit[/link], where we represent families who entered at ports of entry to seek asylum and had their children taken away.

Ms. L, a Congolese mother who sought asylum at a port of entry, had her seven-year-old daughter taken away from her for four months. Immigration authorities made no meaningful attempt to verify their relationship during that time, only doing so after we filed our lawsuit.

[link=https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/29/opinions/immigration-separation-mother-son-mirian/index.html]Mirian G[/link], a mother from Honduras, came to the U.S. with her young son on Feb. 20, 2018. She presented herself to immigration authorities and sought asylum, committing no crime. During her interview, Mirian provided immigration officers with several identification documents for her child which listed her as his mother. The next morning, Border Patrol agents took away her 18-month-old son with no explanation. She did not see him again for two months.
What is happening to people who cross the border between ports of entry?
On April 6, Attorney General Jeff Sessions [link=https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/attorney-general-announces-zero-tolerance-policy-criminal-illegal-entry]instructed[/link] all U.S. Attorneys Offices along the southwest border to adopt a new policy of zero-tolerance for illegal entry into the United States. On May 7, Sessions announced that the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security would partner together to prosecute anyone who crosses the border between U.S. ports of entry.

Heres what the attorney general failed to mention: The government is not giving the kids back. Our client, Ms. C, experienced this firsthand. Ms. C, an asylum seeker, was separated from her 14-year-old son after the government chose to prosecute for entering the country illegally. She served her time, but then had to wait eight months before her son was given back to her.

The question remains Spear and ixrayu, what is the requirement to separate children for parents EVEN IF they crossed the border between ports of entry? Why is it necessary to do that in any case?

DEFLECT. Where was the rage from the media when Obama did it? Why were you silent? Why are you so worried about the separation of the illegal kids and silent about LEGAL American kids having their parents taken away to prison for non-violent crimes? laughable you quote the aclu as if they are the word of god.

Did we truly know they were the legitimate parents of the child or were they sex trafficking or other illegal activities that put that child in harm. Had one child been given back to someone that was not their parent and something happened to that child you and the media would be going on and on about how the child should have been separated. I have to respond to Spears trolling accusations

Basically you just invented a New alias and started posting as a new poster……thats basically the epitome of a troll

Secondly- I point out the hypocrisy of the Evans the conservatives

You price my point…. you claim that this administration is just enforcing the law about immigration….. but why dont you believe they should enforce the laws governing individual and business who hire illeoor undocumented labors

Wouldnt that pretty much end most of the problems??

Lastly you are right about one thing. I do not know what an American conservative is anymore

I used to think I did but I dont

And again

If you are all about the law

Then why not enforce those laws on the books about those who hire illegals

That would stop it quickly and be very cost effective

Kpack, I think we are just dealing with some trolls who are either uninformed, misinformed or don’t know the difference & just throwing sh1te out there like the conspiracy of the children not being accompanied by their parents or somehow related to sex offenders.

Why do you assume I am not for enforcing laws with regard to the hiring of illegals?? That would be great!!!! Thanks for bringing that up. That of course requires e-verify and ICE and rigorous enforcement. DEMOCRATS WILL NOT SUPPORT E-VERIFY OR ANY PROGRAM THAT “DISCRIMINATES” BETWEEN ILLEGALS AND CITIZENS.

Look – open borders don’t really work right can we agree on that? How its currently enforced is a total mess because we don’t have a cogent immigration policy. Trump has frankly proposed some pretty reasonable things including amnesty to all of DACA and their families (like 8 million people). In exchange for things like every and a new fence. Why is it so hard to understand borders are necessary?

Answer me this question: What happens to the children of a mother in the US — a citizen — who is arrested for a felony? Do the kids go to jail with her or are they separated? Why should non-citizen felons be treated any differently? Or should we allow kids to remain with their felon mothers in the US?

It is know that there are no figures on the number of kids separated by Obamas (and Bush) administration because they did not maintain/record the data. Any numbers during his term only tracked parents of US citizens (kids) that Obama removed/deported. Those numbers only start from 2011.

However, former Obama DHS Secretary Johnson admitted it did happen.

Teresa  Brown, director of immigration at the Bipartisan Policy center in an interview stated while there is no data from Obamas administration they did separate some families.

DOJ assistant atty general under Obama Leon Fresco admitted “some fathers were separated from children.”  he also added “Ice could not devise a safe way where men and children could be together in one facility.”

It was not there policy to separate children

The current administration claimed a biblical right to do so when Jeff Sessions made his infamous policy speech this spring

Without a system like e-verify, how would you prosecute employers hiring illegals? How would the employers know who is legal and who isn’t?

let me clarify for you libtards-

E-Verify is mandatory only for FEDERAL contractors.

There are not a large number of illegal aliens applying for jobs in the federal government you clowns. So, E-verify does effectively NOTHING to dissuade illegal aliens from crossing the border.

E-verify should be mandatory for ALL employment if you honestly and sincerely want to move the needle with regard to enforcing immigration policy. In the absence of such a scheme, a wall helps.

I know, its hard to debate the issues honestly when you are a highly emotional ideologue, driven by feelings, but try.

Man charged in Tibbetts’ death worked at Iowa farm linked to prominent Republican

For the e verify crowd

This individual has worked at our farms for four years, was vetted through the government’s E-Verify system, and was an employee in good standing. On Monday, the authorities visited our farm and talked to our employees. We have cooperated fully with their investigation.

They have since recanted and admitted they DID NOT use e-verify. In the murderes case they used the “old social security system”. So the farmer (also a GOP official) is a corrupt liar who is exploiting illegal immigrants. These people — I agree with you — need to be prosecuted. Heres the truth – a murderer is a murderer and the crime is a tragedy no matter who commits it — citizen or non citizen. What is also true is that we CAN choose who we allow into the country. We CANNOT choose our natural born citizens. There are lots of horrible people in the world. We are a nation with borders. We might as well try to keep murderers out because we have that capability. E-verify, build a wall/fence/barrier/etc, support a foreign policy that encourages prosperity throughout the continent.

Biggest point

The immigration issue wont be solved with a wall

The only thing that will solve the issue is when employers are forced to comply with the law

This is not a Republican vs democrat issue

This is not Liberal vs. conservative issue

This is a Republican Party issue that they need to solve amongst themselves with the anti immigrant base and the establishment business owners

Its total Bull sheet that the taxpayers have to pay for a wall and its upkeep because the employers want things both ways

Quote from spear

let me clarify for you libtards-

E-Verify is mandatory only for FEDERAL contractors.

There are not a large number of illegal aliens applying for jobs in the federal government you clowns. So, E-verify does effectively NOTHING to dissuade illegal aliens from crossing the border.

E-verify should be mandatory for ALL employment if you honestly and sincerely want to move the needle with regard to enforcing immigration policy. In the absence of such a scheme, a wall helps.

I know, its hard to debate the issues honestly when you are a highly emotional ideologue, driven by feelings, but try.

E-verify IS mandatory in some states and is ignored in these same states. These Red States wanted to show their anti-immigrant position but not to the tune of actully enforcing it by punishing employers. Kind of like wearing an American flag lapel pin, harmless & requiring no effort but seems to show your position.

[link=https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-23/e-verify-laws-across-southern-red-states-are-barely-enforced]https://www.bloomberg.com…es-are-barely-enforced[/link]

In 2011 states across the Southeast passed laws that threatened private employers with dire consequencesincluding losing their license to do businessif they didnt enroll with a federal data service called [link=https://www.e-verify.gov/]E-Verify[/link]to check the legal status of new hires. Modeled after 2008 measures in Arizona and Mississippi and billed as a rebuke to a do-nothing Obama administration, the laws went further than those in the 13states that required checks for new hires only by state agencies or their contractors.

Seven years later, those laws appear to have been more political bark than bite. None of the Southern states that extended E-Verify to the private sector have canceled a single business license, and only one, Tennessee, has assessed any fines. Most businesses caught violating the laws have gotten a pass.

In Georgia the department charged with auditing compliance with the E-Verify law has never been given money to do so. In Louisiana, where the law against hiring unverified employees can lead to cancellation of public contracts or loss of business licenses, no contract has been canceled, no licenses have been suspended, and the state reports zero actionable complaints since the mandate went into effect in 2012. In Mississippi no one seems to know who enforces the E-Verify law. The mandate appears to give that job to its Department of Employment Security, which knows nothing about it and referred questions to the attorney generals office, which says it doesnt know whos responsible.

The same is true in Alabama, where the state labor department points to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, which neither enforces the law nor knows who does. District attorneys, who field complaints under the mandate, say enforcement falls to the state attorney generals office, which hadnt heard that. What is it were supposed to be doing? spokeswoman Joy Patterson asks. Im not aware of anything like that.

Many states with E-Verify laws built in loopholes from the start, including exemptions for seasonal workers (North Carolina) and farmworkers, fishermen, maids, and nannies (South Carolina). Business groups fought hard for those loopholes. It was us against the Georgia Chamber, the [Atlanta] metro Chamber, and BigAg, says D.A. King, president of the Dustin Inman Society, an anti-immigration group named after a teenager killed in a car accident where the other vehicle was driven by a person in the U.S. illegally. Georgia doesnt enforce the E-Verify mandate for the private sector and has a board to hear complaints about the public sector. Of the 22 complaints its received in six years, 20 came from King.

Almost as evidence of their own futility, the E-Verify laws were absent from Georgias recent GOP gubernatorial primary. Despite campaigning on how tough they would be on immigrants, neither candidate referred to the laws. The winner, Brian Kemp, ran ads saying hed haul illegals away in his pickup. They talked about sanctuary cities and rounding up criminal aliens in a truck, all these distractions, King says. The root cause of illegal immigration is illegal employment. And none of our candidates made a peep about that.

So much for us “libtards” requiring clarification.

Yes It was from the start a stupid argument and figlers way of trying to blame liberals for the republican dichotomy

Basically republicans want it both ways… The ignorant republican base wants to keep the immigrants out and their ruling elite wants to hire the illegals on the cheap just like the Iowa GOP farmer….  They basically have indentured servants living on their land for free so they don’t have to pay them as much in wages.

The Southern way with their history regarding slavery, poor worker’s rights and pay and their lack of investment in education and their citizens. And of course their Federal State welfare policies where they receive more $ from the Federal government than they provide which keeps their taxes lower than they need.

Some people say a man is made outta mud
A poor man’s made outta muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bones
A mind that’s a weak and a back that’s strong
You load sixteen tons and what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don’t you call me ’cause I can’t go
I owe my soul to the company store…

Lyrics: Isaac Hanna[sup](1)(2)[/sup]

Music:
Year: 1895[sup](1)[/sup]
Genre:
Country: USA

The lot of the miner,
At best is quite hard,
We work for good money,
Get paid with a card;
We sarcely can live,
And not a cent more,
Since we’re paid off in checks
On the company store[sup](3)[/sup].
Those great coal monopolies
Are growing apace,
They are making their millions
By grinding our face;
Unto their high prices
The people pay toll,
While they pay fifty cents
For mining their coal.

They keep cutting our wages
Time after time,
Where we once had a dollar,
We now have a dime;
While our souls are near famished,
And our bodies are sore,
We are paid off in checks,
On the company store.

We sign then a contract
As agreed between men,
Though it holds us like slaves,
It never hold them;
And when they’ve exhausted
The old contract score,
They capped the climax
With the company store.

Part of the problem is that people forget where they came from and the work that was done before them. Libertarians and Republicans made it fashionable and ego-feeding to believe “I” did this all myself with no help from anyone. Well I can brag that too if I want to ignore all the people behind me in my life and those who worked to make things better for me. Like wages and opportunity and education.

There are 3 important things different between the policies and actions of the Bush and Obama Administrations vs the Trump Administration, it is frequency, intent and actual policy.

The frequency issue is that under Bush & Obama, separating children form parents was an uncommon thing done under specific circumstances that never came close to being thousands of cases.

Intent: The intent of the Trump Administration was deliberately to separate children in order to both punish people attempting entry including legally and to warn others who thought about entry, including legal entry. Th idea of legal entry was dismissed as these people using our laws under false pretenses ergo they deserved the punishment of separation.

Punishment of refugees by child removal was never the intent of either Bush or Obama.

Policy: This is the Trump policy, punishment of immigrants, those coming to ports of entry and those not and refugees. This was never the policy of the Bush or Obama Administrations.

[link=https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/obama-trump-child-separation-meme/]https://www.snopes.com/fa…child-separation-meme/[/link]
CLAIM
Under President Barack Obama, 89,000 children were separated from their immigrant parents at the United States border.

RATING
[link=https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/rating/false]FALSE[/link]
In other words, the figure of 89,000 refers specifically to the number of children who arrived in the United States alone between October 2013 and January 2016 and were placed with sponsors throughout the country. It does not refer to children whom United States border agencies separated from their families, which is the case with Trumps zero tolerance policy.

[link=https://www.factcheck.org/2018/06/did-the-obama-administration-separate-families/]https://www.factcheck.org…ion-separate-families/[/link]

In defending its zero tolerance border policy that has caused the separation of families, the Trump administration has argued that the Obama and Bush administrations did this too. Thats misleading. Experts say there were some separations under previous administrations, but no blanket policy to prosecute parents and, therefore, separate them from their children.

Bush and Obama did not have policies that resulted in the mass separation of parents and children like were seeing under the current administration, [link=https://www.migrationpolicy.org/about/staff/sarah-pierce]Sarah Pierce[/link], a policy analyst with the Migration Policy Institute, told us.

Nielsen went on to explain that there is indeed something new, as [link=https://www.factcheck.org/2018/06/nielsens-rhetoric-on-family-separations/]we wrote[/link] in another article on this topic. Under a [link=https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/attorney-general-announces-zero-tolerance-policy-criminal-illegal-entry]zero tolerance policy[/link] on illegal immigration announced by Attorney General Jeff Sessions in early April, the administration [link=https://www.justice.gov/opa/speech/attorney-general-sessions-delivers-remarks-discussing-immigration-enforcement-actions]is now referring[/link] all illegal border crossings for criminal prosecution. By doing that, parents have been separated from their children, because children cant be held in detention facilities for adults.

DHS told us that 2,342 children were separated from their parents between May 5 and June 9.

The Obama administration faced a surge of unaccompanied children from Central America trying to cross the border in 2014. [link=https://www.newamerica.org/our-people/cecilia-mu%C3%B1oz/]Cecilia [/link][link=https://www.newamerica.org/our-people/cecilia-mu%C3%B1oz/]Muñoz[/link], director of the Obama administrations Domestic Policy Council, [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/16/us/politics/family-separation-trump.html]told[/link] the New York Times this month that a multi-agency team was considering every possible idea at the time, including separating families. I do remember looking at each other like, Were not going to do this, are we? We spent five minutes thinking it through and concluded that it was a bad idea, the Times quoted Muñoz saying. The morality of it was clear thats not who we are.

DEFLECT. Where was the rage from the media when Obama did it? Why were you silent? Why are you so worried about the separation of the illegal kids and silent about LEGAL American kids having their parents taken away to prison for non-violent crimes? laughable you quote the aclu as if they are the word of god.

Please provide information to Obama routinely separating children form families and exactly how many were separated please. Otherwise you are just repeating alternative facts in order to

To prove the accuracy of this post please list the wrestlers you know and spoke to that told you Jim Jordan grabbed them. If you feel you have the right to make such an accusation you should have the guts to post who said it/told you because you are in a public forum and making serious accusations.

Not sure if this will get national coverage.  I hope it does.  Gym name is coming up in State Testimony about OSU wrestling abuse.

COLUMBUS, Ohio U.S. Rep. Jim Jordans name came up Tuesday during a Statehouse hearing on a bill that would pave the way for victims of former Ohio State University doctor Richard Strauss to sue the university for damages.
Adam DiSabato, a former captain of the OSU wrestling team during the late 80s and early 90s, told members of the House Civil Justice Committee that Jordan and other team officials knew about open-shower team facilities that facilitated sexual harassment and abuse of team wrestlers, [link=https://apnews.com/e5ac08f7012a4b4da2517495c28256a1/Ex-athletes:-Creepy-people,-lewd-atmosphere-at-Ohio-State]an allegation Jordan has denied[/link].

He also said Jordan called him repeatedly in July 2018, after [link=https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/powerful-gop-rep-jim-jordan-accused-turning-blind-eye-sexual-n888386]media outlets[/link] quoted his brother, Michael DiSabato, saying Strauss abuse was common knowledge to those surrounding the wrestling program, including Jordan.
Jim Jordan called me crying, groveling begging me to go against my brotherThats the kind of cover-up thats going on there, he said.

Six former wrestlers say Rep. Jim Jordan knew about abusive OSU doctor

Tito Vazquez says he still remembers the day three decades ago when, as a wrestler at Ohio State University, the doctor he’d gone to see about a bloody nose insisted on examining his genitals. He also recalls how one of his coaches dismissed his immediate complaint.

“‘I have nothing to do with this,'” Vazquez quoted the assistant coach saying, as he effectively ended the conversation and went on with wrestling practice.

That coach, Vazquez says, was Jim Jordan, now an Ohio congressman and an influential voice in Republican politics, perhaps best known for his pugnacious defense of President Donald Trump during the recent impeachment proceedings.

“Jim Jordan called me crying, crying. Groveling. On the 4th of July, begging me to go against my brother. Begging me. Crying for a half hour. That’s the kind of cover-up that’s going on there”

The $40.9 million settlement was reached with 162 male survivors. It covers 12 lawsuits related to abuse allegedly perpetrated by Strauss, who was employed by the university from 1978 until 1998.

An independent investigation launched by the University found in 2019 that the physician abused students and university administration failed to appropriately respond at the time, [link=https://news.osu.edu/ohio-state-162-survivors-finalize-409-million-settlement-in-strauss-case/]the university said in a Friday statement.[/link]

The report found that personnel at the university knew what Strauss was doing as early as 1979.

“Ohio State continues to participate in good faith in the mediation process with the survivors involved in the remaining lawsuits, and remains committed to a resolution with plaintiffs, including a monetary resolution,” the Friday statement said.

Rep. [link=https://thehill.com/people/jim-jordan]Jim Jordan[/link] (R-Ohio) has previously denied allegations that he failed to stop Strauss from sexually abusing student-athletes at the university when he served as a wrestling coach there.

Strauss died by suicide in 2005.

Yeah. OH-4 has a PVI R+14.  It would have to be a landslid of epic proportion to lose that seat. For the most part, in a district that partisan, the primary is the election.

So when Jim Jordan was pulling all these stunts with Anthony Fauci, why didnt someone jump in and say, Let me tell you something, Jim, if Fauci knew what you knew, if he knew that a doctor was molesting young people, he wouldve gone to the medical board yesterday. So you can go ahead and shut the f*cl up.’

James Carville, quoted by Vox, on Jordan sparring with Fauci at a congressional hearing on coronavirus precautions.

University of Michigan Football Team Doctor Molested Players and Coach Schembechler’s 10 yr Old Son
Matt Schembechler was 10 years old when he tried repeatedly to tell his father, legendary University of Michigan football coach Bo Schembechler, that he had been molested by the teams doctor.

Bo Schembechler replied: I dont want to hear this. Then, the coachs son says, Schembechler punched his fourth-grade son in the chest.

I hoped my father would protect me, but he didnt, Matt Schembechler, now 62, recalled Thursday at a news conference where he excoriated his father and the University of Michigan for their failures to act to stop the doctors abuse.

Matt Schembechler spoke alongside two former University of Michigan football players who also said they were repeatedly molested by the doctor, Robert E. Anderson, and were revealing their identities publicly for the first time. They were some of as many as 850 alleged victims of Anderson, who preyed on athletes and other young men over a period of decades, [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2021/05/11/michigan-doctor-robert-anderson-report/?itid=lk_inline_manual_6]according to a recent investigation by a law firm hired by the university[/link].
Jim Jordan Spoke to Trump Multiple Times on Jan. 6
Jim Jordan (R-OH) spoke once on the day of the Capitol riot, but the Ohio Republican has said he doesnt remember when their conversation took place. We have some new details that could help clear up that timeframe including confirmation of at least one more phone conversation between Jordan and the then-president during the siege.

After a group of lawmakers were evacuated from the House chamber to a safe room on Jan. 6, Jordan was joined by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for a call during which they implored Trump to tell his supporters to stand down, per a source with knowledge of that call. The source declined to say how Trump responded to this request.

Jordan has previously disclosed that he spoke to Trump on Jan. 6, but not the existence of more than one call on the day a rare piece of new information on the former presidents moves during the riot at a time when House Republicans are loath to discuss such specifics.

The same way an embarrassment like Trump got elected in the 1st place and still has support from many despite everything including bragging grabbing women. If actual proof came out that he turned a blind eye to rape he’d loudly double up his support of Trump & subsequently get re-elected. Hell, if a photo came out of Jordan joining in on the “festivities” he’d get re-elected I’d bet.

At least with Trump I kind of have some doubts.  Like Stormy said she just fudged him.  e Jean Carol claims she was raped decades ago and has a dress with his splooge.  I feel kind of questionable.  You want to believe she’s telling the truth but doesn’t he also get benefit of the doubt.  Like how can you prove anything happened there.

Jim Jordan covered up raping a bunch of OSU wrestlers.  OSU also covered that up.  In my mind this is worse than TRump.  Which is rarified air.

I understand what you are saying but I believe the Trump and Jordan supporters don’t give a damn either way. Like I said a photo of Jordan in flagrante delicto would not lose him any supporters. Very similar to TRump’s brag about not losing any supporters if he shot someone on 5th Avenue at noon.

[link=https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/state/supreme-court-lets-lawsuits-over-team-doctors-sexual-abuse-proceed-against-ohio-state]Supreme Court lets lawsuits over team doctor’s sexual abuse proceed against Ohio State

[/link]
The Supreme Court on Monday left in place a decision that allows more than 230 men to sue Ohio State University over decades-old sexual abuse by a university doctor, the late Richard Strauss.
Two cases involving the abuse were on a list of many cases the court said it would not hear. And, as is typical, the court did not comment in saying it would not hear the cases.
Ohio State University had urged the court to review a ruling by the Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that revived lawsuits that had been dismissed. The men who sued are among hundreds of former student-athletes and other alumni who say they were abused by Strauss, who worked at the school from 1978 to 1998.

Gym Jordan tried to interfere with Georgia’s state trial, and sent a letter to Willis demanding lots of stuff that he, as a member of the Legislative Branch, has absolutely no right to receive. Willis responds with a detailed letter pointing out the myriad ways Jordan is, well, an idiot. She then goes on to volunteer commentary on other parts of Jordan’s letter.

Prosecutor blasts congressmans interference in Trump Georgia probe (ajc.com)

[link=https://www.ajc.com/politics/willis-blasts-congressmans-interference-in-fulton-trump-probe/IU5USCA3H5A3RJKTMT2WFCL3VU/]https://www.ajc.com/polit…CA3H5A3RJKTMT2WFCL3VU/[/link]

Chairman Jordan, I tell people often deal with reality or reality will deal with you. It is time that you deal with some basic realities. A Special Purpose Grand Jury made up of everyday citizens investigated for 10 months and made recommendations to me. A further reality is that a grand jury of completely different Fulton County citizens found probable cause against the defendants named in the indictment for RICO violations and various other felonies. Face this reality, Chairman Jordan: the select group of defendants who you fret over in my jurisdiction are like every other defendant, entitled to no worse or better treatment than any other American citizen.

Here is another reality you must face: Those who wish to avoid (felony charges in Fulton County, Georgia including violations of Georgia RICO law should not commit felonies in Fulton County, Georgia.

Your letter makes clear that you lack a basic understanding of the law, its practice, and the ethical obligations of attorneys generally and prosecutors specifically.
