Fits with the story Joe himself told on video about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired:

[h3][link=https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/21/bidenomics-spurred-stronger-gdp-growth-morgan-stanley.html]Morgan Stanley Credits “Bidenomics” for much stronger GDP growth: [/link][/h3]

Bidens [link=https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/3684/text]Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act[/link] is driving a boom in large-scale infrastructure, wrote Ellen Zentner, chief U.S. economist for Morgan Stanley, in a research note released Thursday. In addition to infrastructure, manufacturing construction has shown broad strength, she wrote.

The economy in the first half of the year is growing much stronger than we had anticipated, putting a more comfortable cushion under our long-held soft landing view, Zentner wrote.

The analysts also doubled their original estimate for GDP growth in the fourth quarter, to 1.3% from 0.6%. Looking into next year, they raised their forecast for real GDP in 2024 by a tenth of a percent, to 1.4%.

The narrative behind the numbers tells the story of industrial strength in the U.S, Zentner wrote.

Dude.  Biden can’t even pass a mini mental test.  I’m not convinced he even knows what year it is.

Also, people cant buy stuff.  They can’t buy as much as the could 4 years ago.  That’s all you need to know.

Making up numbers or twisting words doesn’t fix that.

Stimulus raises GDP, infrastructure raises gdp, on-shoring manufacturing jobs raises GDP, returning chip manufacturing raises gdp.

        Yep all those things work

Let’s review everything we’ve recently learned about the Bidens:

          – A declassified FBI file alleging Joe and Hunter were bribed $5M by Burisma to get the Ukraine prosecutor investigating them fired

          – A text message in which Hunter demanded payment from his CCP linked business partner by saying “I’m sitting here with my father waiting for the call.”

          – IRS whistleblowers testifying that multiple felony charges were recommended against Hunter but the DOJ only charged him with two misdemeanors.

          – Hunter Biden’s former business partner alleging that Joe Biden was on phone calls with Hunter’s business partners over a dozen times.

          – Allegations that the DOJ tipped off the Bidens to search warrants being initiated against Hunter and prohibited investigators from executing them even though they found probable cause.

          – Confirmation that Joe Biden was in fact the “big guy.”

Hunter Biden put then-VP dad Joe on the phone with business associates at least 2 dozen times, ex-partner Devon Archer to testify

lots of Comer conjecture going on there.  Devon is the same guy that was built of bond fraud in the tribal economic bond scheme, right?  I guess we will see if he can bring the receipts so to speak.  So far these hearings have been a fart in the wind.

NYT talking about it?! Do my eyes deceive me?

White House @PressSec says Biden “was never in business with his son” but does not actually say whether he was put on speakerphone when Hunter was conducting business and introduced to partners.

Joe Biden: Our son Hunter and Navys mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.

This is not a political issue, its a family matter. Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.

Even with all these years of training and education, I find our profession, radiology, to still be very sexist and male dominated. The things I have heard so-called health professionals say about women and the things that have been said and insinuated about me as an educated single womanare horrible.

The way women are used and manipulated for peoples own political and financial gain in this so-called democracy-to none of their own benefitand potentially to their own peril–is appalling. This needs to change, and I dont see any politician that has any real interest in doing so.

      The democrats are correct:
Outside of the bank records, the suspicious activity reports, the wire transfers, the Privat bank transactions, the LLCs, the texts, the emails, the WhatsApp messages, the photos of Joe with Hunters business partners, the voicemails to his son, the two business partners saying Joe is the brand, the big guy, and the chairman, the two whistleblowers testimony, the recorded phone calls between Biden and Poroshenko, the video of Joe Biden bragging about firing the Ukrainian prosecutor, and Hunters statements that hes giving his dad half his income, there is NO evidence of Joe Biden being involved.

if Comer/McCarthy/Jordan had any actual proof of any involvement by [b]Joe[/b] Biden he’d already be impeached.

What they have have is a bunch of scattered allegations from sources of various and dubious credibility that they know won’t stand up to scrutiny, will make them look like idiots if they take it to the floor of the House, and will cost them the chamber in the 2024 elections if they try the stunt.

From former CIA ops officer Bryan Dean Wright, re Hunter selling access to his VP father:

I saw this while working at the CIA.

It’s the same story of every corrupt politician.

The Family (Bidens) had a bagman (Hunter) who offered up access to the Big Guy (Joe). The Big Guy knows about every one of the bagman’s deals and every Client.

But the Big Guy rarely involves himself in the weeds of the thing.

Instead, he simply shows up — in phone calls, personal letters, or fancy dinners. He says nice things about the bagman — “Smartest guy I know” — and the signal is clear to Clients:

The Big Guy’s for sale. Settle up with the bagman.

Payment is rendered in ways that gives the Big Guy plausible deniability. If anyone gets a whiff of the deal, either 1) the bagman takes the blame and/or 2) the Big Guy kills / muzzles the inquiring mind.

I’ve seen it abroad. Repeatedly. I just never thought it would happen here with the President of the United States.

And yet, here we are. Undeniable corruption in the White House.

But our Big Guy doesn’t need to bury this story. He’s got a party, corporate press, and controlled DOJ doing it for him.

I’m so angry. And so fearful for our Republic.

Thats the next in a long line of articles sending out what has clearly become a Dem talking point. The stimulus worked. Sure it caused some inflation, but thats under control now.

One more chance for me to point out how we can thank the centrists for getting it done. Amazing what a group that stands for nothing can do.

So Biden’s legislation is not a Progressive/Lefty/Commie/Socialist thing, Biden’s administration is Centrist.

Yes it is, and it works, precisely why dergon & I see Biden’s administration as “moderate,” not extremist Commie/Socialist.

NEW: President Biden once again tries to make the Maui fire that killed ~500 people about himself by telling a story about how he almost lost his corvette in a house fire.

You can always count on Biden to tell a story that didnt happened.

I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense Jill and I, what it’s like to lose a home It was a Sunday and lightning struck at home on a little lake.

And make a long story short, almost lost my wife, my 67 Corvette and my cat.

This story was debunked by the fire department who said Biden embellished what happened.

            [link=https://x.com/collinrugg/status/1693790203310453189?s=46&t=Rf5Slh6vTdZ1HlG6L2Fkcw]https://x.com/collinrugg/…Rf5Slh6vTdZ1HlG6L2Fkcw[/link]

According to a report from the time, the lighting strike caused “a small fire contained to the kitchen” that “was under control in 20 minutes.

Im surprised he didnt find a way to bring in a story about Beau.

Brilliant GOP presidential candidate Suarez, Mayor of Miami:

In September 2021, Saurez revealed that his ultimate plan for the city of Miami is to abolish taxes. Instead, he hopes to fund the city’s activities via the issuance and continued mining of a city-specific blockchain token called MiamiCoin which has led to him being nicknamed “Mayor Ponzi Postalita” by documentary-maker and director [link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Corben]Billy Corben[/link]. He also stated that Miami is looking to allow its residents to get paid in [link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcoin]Bitcoin[/link], and to be able to pay their taxes using Bitcoin.[link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Suarez#cite_note-37][37][/link][/sup] In November 2021, Suarez became the first U.S. politician to take their salary in cryptocurrency.[link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Suarez#cite_note-38][38][/link][/sup][link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Suarez#cite_note-39][39][/link][/sup][link=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Suarez#cite_note-40][40][/link][/sup]
Less than a year after the launch of MiamiCoin, the token was delisted from its last exchange, OKCoin, after losing over 90% of its value. Suarez lost $2,500 personally on MiamiCoin. Suarez continued to tout the money earned from MiamiCoin, and maintained his support for cryptocurrency

To recap: Joe Biden was on vacation when the Hawaii wildfires happened, his first words on hundreds of dead Americans were “no comment,” he then went on a second vacation to a liberal billionaire’s mansion while calling for more aid to Ukraine, he then finally traveled to Maui two weeks after the fires, joked about how hot the ground was, mispronounced the names of every Hawaii elected official, told a complete lie about how his house once almost burned down, joked about how he knows what they are feeling because he almost lost his corvette, fell asleep while meeting with Maui residents and is now going back on vacation.

What a week we just witnessed! Joe Biden or Robert L. Peters? What a week! We learned @JoeBiden reportedly used multiple pseudonyms like “Robert L. Peters,” “Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware” when he was vice president, preventing members of Congress from identifying him in communications involving Burisma, Ukraine foreign policy, and his son Hunter Biden.

As a result, on Thursday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer requested the National Archives to provide documents related to Biden’s aliases.

The committee also asked for drafts of Biden’s speech to the Ukrainian parliament in 2015, as well as access to documents involving Hunter Biden and his associates Eric Schwerin and Devon Archer.

Specifically, they’re seeking redacted files from the archives titled “Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden,” which have raised questions.

The National Archives and Records Administration acknowledged possessing potentially up to 5,400 emails connected to then-Vice President Joe Biden’s pseudonym accounts that he used to forward government information and discuss business with his son, Hunter Biden, and others, and on Monday the Southeastern Legal Foundation filed a lawsuit to compel the agency to turn over the emails.

Supporting Biden at this point is no longer a political choice. It is a statement that you did not care about the rule of law or the truth.

A new poll says 77% of Americans think Joe Biden is too old to run for president again, including 69% of Democrats.

        Time to step aside, Joe.

        Trump too, for that matter.

          Not gonna happen for either

I think Dems will come around for Joe and enthusiastically vote *against* Trump and for democracy and reproductive rights.

The GOP base will still come out for Trump

Then it comes down to who can win the few percent of moveable voters in the middle and juice their coalitions turnout

(And perhaps, tbd, third party effects )

Of course they will. But that also includes any Dem besides Biden as well. Now put a credible running mate with him besides Kamala and there is no chance Trump wins. I actually think this is the hope of the No Labels rhetoric about a third-party candidate.

I’m not as confident as you that any random democrat beats Trump.

I think Warren (left), Bernie (left), Harris (harris) (woman), Klobuchar (woman), Buttigieg (gay), Whitmer (woman) … all of whom could potentially win the nomination if Biden stepped down … could all potentially have a greater risk of losing to Trump than Joe.

Dems don’t get to wave a magic wand and choose Newsom (or whoever they think the lower risk candidate may be)

I understand. However, I don’t think “woman” is a handicap. I’ll throw in a name I used in a different thread, Gina Raimondo.

My confidence comes from hearing the hatred of Trump from every angle except the MAGA right. We are talking about 75% of the electorate.

I don’t think Biden has a problem in a heads up rematch. However, I do worry about what No Labels is up to. Might this require some extreme political maneuvering? I wish Biden did not seem to be deteriorating as rapidly as he is and I wish Kamala had shown herself to be a better leader.

                  What are you talking about?

Fumious, KJP, and all of the main stream media says Biden is as sharp as a tack

Heck, just ask Biden himself what he thinks of his own mental acuity:

REPORTER: How is your mental focus?

                  JOE BIDEN: *nervous wheeze*
Oh focused. Ha ha ha Id say its, it is I havent here, look. I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself, in my head, the number of years. I no more think of myself being old as I am than fly.

By the way, the clip is from almost a year ago.

Think hell still be that mentally sharp at the end of his second term five years from now at age 85?

It’s from that right wing clearly biased source: CBS.

The most remarkable part about that quote is how successfully it was buried.

so it’s not all doom and gloom –

    [link=https://www.messageboxnews.com/p/why-the-2024-race-is-tied-right-now?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=65026&post_id=136484860&isFreemail=true&utm_medium=email]Dan Pfeiffer[/link]:

Its easy to look at these numbers and immediately start hyperventilating into a paper bag, but consider these few points. First, my approach to politics since 2016 has been worry about everything, panic about nothing, and poll numbers this far out from the election fit into the moderate worry category. Second, [b]President Biden is in better shape politically than President Obama was at this juncture.[/b] August of 2011 was the first (and only) time Obamas approval dropped below 40%, and in our internal polling, he was losing to a generic Republican. Finally, the point of this exercise is not to bemoan Bidens political standing or find reasons to curl up into the fetal position under our desks. This is a roadmap for how to reconstitute the anti-MAGA majority that delivered the House, Senate and White House from 2018-2022.

These {weak} numbers {with young voters} are probably not a surprise to folks who pay attention. Young voters are a challenge for Biden. He started off the 2020 general election underperforming with that group and ended up generating high levels of turnout and support. It will take a lot of work, but Biden did it before and I am confident he can do it again.

A viable third-party candidate like Larry Hogan or Cornell West is more damaging to Biden than Trump and could be what puts Trump over the top.

Yet another incredibly close race with the fate of democracy on the line is an unsettling and exhausting notion. Its no fun to reflect on that prospect in the waning weeks of summer. Still, we must understand why the polling looks the way it does and formulate a strategy for how to invest our time and resources as the campaign heats up this fall.

Mark Halperin highly was on Smerconish today saying that the Biden vacation was actually a family meeting about whether to actually run . And that there is a decent chance he decides not to run

… consideration of how to handle Harris is a key issue if he makes that call. The Biden team doesnt think she can win and they need to find a graceful way to open up the race to prevent a Dem loss in ’24

total rumor mill but there you have it

      How to handle Harris
It all comes down to this. Whether he runs or not.

If they dont think she can win, what makes them think she is a good back up if *could* *potentially* *in the future* demonstrate the same common aging manifestations as Mitch and Dianne?

As much as I enjoying seeing MAGA tears flowing, its not my major goal in participating in political discussion, here and in real life. You are probably right though. Great for those that care more about pissing off the other side than having good leadership.

I obviously don’t see that happening.  He was even carrying water for Mitch today when everyone was asking questions about the Mitch glitch.

Bump: That doesnt count, and now Im leaving.
