We ARE still fighting for the soul of America & Biden has been the single person able to successfully fight against the Trumpist/MAGA/White Nationalist tide.
Until a demonstrated much better candidate shows up before 2024 election, hes got my vote. Hes proven he is the better candidate among Democrats & craven/cowardly Republicans cant hold a candle in comparison; there isnt a one conservative who comes close in ability.
If this is dementia, we need more. Biden has hired many more than capable members of his administration to right the ship of state after conservatives ran it aground.

Hahahaha. Lets give Biden credit while we really should be thanking the centrists.

Interesting that Republicans had to stoop to using AI to create a story line about Biden and the administration.
Considering the threat of fake everythings generated by AI and the proof of a significant percentage the American public being so credulous from Fox & Tucker Carlson & Pizzagate & grooming by teachers & Russian propaganda, etc, etc, etc…
An American mind is a terrible thing to waste & so many are so wasted.

Now, Democrats are readying their response.
On Tuesday, Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-NY) [link=https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fYTNWTErMMZ9UxWN9UjehblQ4SkA7BxT/view]introduced a new bill to require disclosures[/link] of AI-generated content in political ads. [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/05/02/ai-generated-political-ads-bill/]Clarke told [i]The[/i][i]Washington Post[/i][/link][i] [/i]Tuesday that her bill was a direct response to the RNC ad that launched last week. The video came out soon after President Joe Biden announced his 2024 reelection campaign, depicting a dystopian future where Biden reinstates the draft to aid Ukraines war effort and causes China to invade Taiwan if reelected.
The upcoming 2024 election cycle will be the first time in U.S. history where AI generated content will be used in political ads by campaigns, parties, and Super PACs. Unfortunately, our current laws have not kept pace with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, Clarke said in a statement on Tuesday.

[h2][link=https://politicalwire.com/2023/05/11/why-team-biden-was-positively-giddy-last-night/]Team Biden Was Positively Giddy Last Night[/link][/h2]
If you wonder why the Biden team was described as [link=https://www.politico.com/newsletters/playbook/2023/05/11/how-trump-dominated-cnn-00096382]positively giddy[/link] after Donald Trumps town hall appearance, its because he showed him far out of touch with the majority of Americans.
Consider the following:
[ul][*]Trump wouldnt say if he wanted Ukraine to win the war with Russia, but a recent [link=https://today.yougov.com/topics/international/articles-reports/2023/02/24/one-year-european-and-american-attitudes-war-ukrai]YouGov poll[/link] showed 67% of Americans want Ukraine to prevail.[*]Trump declined to declare Vladimir Putin a war criminal, but a recent [link=https://poll.qu.edu/poll-release?releaseid=3870]Quinnipiac poll[/link] finds 80% of Americans think he is.[*]Trump said he would pardon a large portion of the January 6 rioters at the Capitol, but a recent [link=https://www.politico.com/f/?id=0000017e-dcba-da25-ad7f-fdfe00200000&nname=playbook&nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&nrid=0000014e-f115-dd93-ad7f-f91513e50001&nlid=630318]Morning Consult-Politico poll[/link] found that 68% of Americans dont think they should be pardoned.[*]Trump suggested Republicans allow the U.S. to default on its debt, but a recent [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/05/05/debt-ceiling-poll/?itid=lk_inline_manual_22]Washington Post-ABC News poll[/link] finds 58% think that would be irresponsible.[*]Trump took credit for repealing Roe v. Wade, but a recent [link=https://www.npr.org/2023/04/26/1171863775/poll-americans-want-abortion-restrictions-but-not-as-far-as-red-states-are-going]NPR/PBS Newshour/Marist poll[/link] finds 61% of Americans support abortion rights. [/ul] By any definition, Trumps positions are extreme to the majority of voters. And the best part for Democrats? They have him on video saying all of these things.
Said one Biden aide: It was quite efficient. Weeks worth of damning content in one hour.[/QUOTE]
-
Sounds good but pols don’t elect presidents or Congress. We have very many examples of voters voting against their best interests in the name of party. Think of the “moderate” Republicans like Sununu who say Trump is the worst but will vote for him when he becomes the nominee. And Barr and how many others?
The majority of voters are against conservative legislation against abortion choice yet voted Republican every time. Only when put separately about supporting abortion bans post Roe did the voters in Red states strike down the attempt

58%-80% on the issues that matter. Finally believe me dergon? Im guessing you do because you keep posting items that support what Ive been saying.

He said the biggest terrorist threat to the homeland is white supremacy.
At this point, that is objectively correct. For a few years it was militant islam, but they havent done much lately. That’s not to say that white supremacy is the biggest threat to the personal safety of any Howard grad. Biggest threat to their personal safety remains black on black crime not linked to any kind of political or religious agenda.
I am sorry reality upsets you.-

Why didnt he tell them that?
Because hed rather pander, gaslight, and divide.
Im sorry if that reality upsets you, him, and them
-
Why doesn’t this politician message in a way that is advantageous to his opponents?! Outrageous!!
-
As if “White Supremacy” historically and in the present pales in comparison to Black-onBlack violence.
Sorry if this myth upsets so many but White supremacy exists on many more levels and is much more wide-ranging than dismissing it all against crime in historically red-lined areas dismissing decades of racial and racist White-on-black crimes that have existed since Emancipation into the present.
This precisely is the meaning of systemic racism, systemic as in racist laws existed since the Constitution was signed and continues to this day.
Amnd why is White-on-White crime never discussed. It is larger.

I am sympathetic Biden’s message to Howard University grads. He said the right thing to the right people. The truth.
The extraneous posturing here is silly but it’s how politics works.
Frumi your chart really doesn’t have anything to do with it, but I see why you responded with it. You got freaked out by fw’s “black on black” claim and thought you had a better understanding than he did. That is a game you will lose over and over. He has a far greater intellect than you.

CNN Town Hall Question: How do you change the mistrust in the system among some members of the black community?
Joe Biden: You got the vaccination? Are you okay? I mean, you seem no, it works. Or you, you know… or the mom and dad, or the neighbor, or when you go to church, or when youre… no, I really mean it.
There are trusted interlocutors. Think of the people… if your kid wanted to find out whether or not there were… theres a man on the moon, or whatever… you know, something, or, you know, whether those aliens are here or not… you know, who are the people they talk to beyond the kids who love talking about it?[link=https://twitter.com/kevinnbass/status/1658796454545113089?s=46&t=Rf5Slh6vTdZ1HlG6L2Fkcw]https://twitter.com/kevin…Rf5Slh6vTdZ1HlG6L2Fkcw[/link]

That’s clearly only the result of you looking at him and allowing his physical decline to have sort of a ‘reverse halo effect’ in your assessment of his mental state. Has nothing to do with the disjointed word salad that comes out of his mouth if he is allowed to speak without a teleprompter or pre-curated question/answer pairs. They should have asked him about ice cream.

As Don Rumsfeld said:
You go to the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.
I don’t miss the total and daily chaos of Trump.
I don’t miss giving away leadership to China and Russia and every 2 bit dictator Trump admired like he’s always admired the Mob.
I don’t miss Trump’s obsequiousness to Putin.
I don’t miss the undermining of government and institutions that Trump did.
I don’t miss the corruption and incompetence of Trump and his picks for office.
I don’t miss Trump’s daily/hourly/minute-by-minute and second-by-second twits.
The list goes on and on.
Yeah, Biden was not my ideal pick either but he is a stable, if not genius but a stable president and leader. Magnitudes better than the corrupt Liar-in-Chief. Biden’s diarrhea of the mouth also gave us tolerance and support for many important things including LGBTQ under Obama to now and empathy for people’ suffering, something very lacking under Trump & conservatives’ view of the world. WTF happened to America where people cheer for women getting raped or cheer a president making fun of someone with a disability? When did America elevate trolls and trolling to leadership status and admiration?
Until a better Democrat or Republican comes along who can actually provide leadership and importantly win elections, Biden has my vote. He’s shown himself to be a good president. Where are the others who lead as well or better. Tripping over his tongue as he’s done for decades is not a disqualifier. I’ll take the stutterer over the A-holes. -

Not good with numbers I gather.
Not gonna write a dissertation for you, but here is the most recent available FBI data:
[link=https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-6.xls]https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime…icide-data-table-6.xls[/link]
Blacks represent 13% of the population yet almost 50% of murder victims. And if you look in the offender matrix, the great majority of the offenders (if known) in muders of blacks are of the same race. Sure, there are a few murders by white supremacists, relative to the risk of getting killed by one of your own, those numbers are minuscule. -
And his shuffling gait is totally due to osteoarthritis in his back. Nothing to see here.
-
And so you are arguing what? Black people are the major cause of crime in America?
What’s your problem with race, fw? Long ago you asked me if I was a race-traitor. You’ve posted more than once about Black-on-Black crime inferring as if it’s the most important statistic about crime.
What are you trying to infer. Don’t be coy anymore. State it directly. What is it about Black-on-Black crime stats that you find most compelling? Because Black-on-Black crime is not the largest stat about crime, crime by Whites is larger regardless the lower percentage of Blacks in the population.
Culture? Genes? Black people are genetically more prone to commit violent crime? But mainly on other Blacks – because??? What? What is your focus supposed to explain? -
As much as I dislike angry partisan bickering in any forum, I must admit I get a kick out of watching fw dismantle Frumi and Kiro until an actual conversation breaks out.
“spittle flying” is pretty accurate. -

If I had to vote today I’d still vote for Biden. I’m a little uncomfortable because it’s basically saying I’m voting for the policies and not the person, as I don’t think he’s all there mentally and it’s only going to get worse. I can accept where he is now, but 4 more years does bother me. Maybe we’ll have a breakthrough in the treatment of early dementia.
Would strongly prefer a younger, more vigorous moderate because I do still think the president isn’t just a figurehead and the person matters, but so far Biden’s the only moderate game in town.
I’m strongly turned off by progressive rhetoric, hysteria, and hypocrisy (see e.g. 14th amendment/platinum coin nuttiness regarding the debt ceiling; as an aside, Laurence Tribe and Alan Dershowitz have markedly lowered my opinion of Harvard Law School. Both think the law says whatever they want it to say at the moment. Maybe they’re just old.), but finally accepting that Biden has governed largely as a moderate (with a few sops to progressives and special interests), and things like the commission to study packing the Supreme Court were probably necessary, and appropriately empty, gestures to the far left. -

I had an extensive discussion with my father about Biden’s cognition and aging while on vacation last month.
My dad is now 88 years. He has no dementia, still serves on boards, can still scrutinize a P/L statement like it’s his job.
That said. he’s aware of his brain changes which he says he also notices in Biden.
My father now takes great care to never go off-script when in a meeting or speaking in public. He knows that if he starts to tell an anecdote he will get to a point where there is a word or phrase or place that we won’t be able to immediately recall. And that long pause makes people concerned about your cognition … so he doesn’t do it.
Biden’s team knows the same thing … which is why they limit his need/ability to speak extemporaneously… because it gets him into trouble and makes him look demented.
But that doesn’t mean that when he’s alone or in a small group that he can’t still have the ability to think strategically and wisely.
Just about everything about the way Biden has structured his administration makes it so that decisions are made in a deliberative and, thus far, politically successful manner.
He shows no signs of impulsiveness. Fortunately, there are very few things that require immediate fast recall from the President. The strategy, the structure, the execution all can be done at a deliberative pace.
__________
And yeah, the executive branch is a huge beast. Only a very very few number of decisions actually make it to the level of the President having to decide. So were *always* voting for policies to a large extent.
Biden will continue to decline. At what pace it is hard to know. But I’d would be quite comfortable with Joe as President even with a moderate degree of additional decline in his second term. (Particularly when compared to the Democratic field that likely can’t win an election.
-
Well said dergon. Pretty sure the vast majority of the electorate will believe what you said and thats what we will end up with. Those centrists a lot of us would love to see show up, while they exist, are not in the position to get the kind of party support needed to win a primary, let alone a general election. At this point Biden is the best we have. Might seem like a sad statement but is true.

The “sops” and gestures seem to bother a lot of people on the Right. Sops and gestures do not run the government but speaking fo the Supreme Court as an example actual things like the Shadow Docket, buying the court with millions of $ vacations, home buying, etc, spouses actually working to prove – whether they believe it or not since a false belief like a stolen election works as well to undermine democracy are much more important than sops and gestures.

[link=https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-6.xls]https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime…icide-data-table-6.xls[/link]
Blacks represent 13% of the population yet almost 50% of murder victims. And if you look in the offender matrix, the great majority of the offenders (if known) in muders of blacks are of the same race.Quote from Frumious
And so you are arguing what? Black people are the major cause of crime in America? We were having this discussion from a victim perspective. Black people as a group are a much higher risk of becoming victim of a violent crime in the US.
Were you. The numbers still don’t bear that out. White offenders crime is still higher in numbers. Period. Whites have more to fear from other Whites than they do from Black people.
And as I asked you, your conclusion is what? Black people are more violent than White people? You made the effort to point out that Black people are 13% of the population yet are responsible for 50% of homicides.
So based on why? Culture? Environment? Genetic? Or? Your .xls from the FBI says nothing about why. That is precisely what I am asking you for so meticulously pointing that out that Black people are so much more responsible for violent crime vis-a-vis their population.
This is a most common meme and response by the Right when violence against Black people is raised, specifically about White racism. It’s meant as a deflection, never an explanation. Which was aspce1’s point, no? And your answer was agreement with Biden’s speech point, White Supremacy is a larger threat. So your argument is why?
[link=https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/fbi-releases-2020-incident-based-data]https://www.fbi.gov/news/press-releases/fbi-releases-2020-incident-based-data[/link]Victims:
[ul][*]A little more than half (50.6%) were female; 48.7% were male; and the gender of 0.8% of victims was unknown.[*]Most victims (66.9%) were white; 24% were Black or African American;
1.9% were Asian; 0.8% were American Indian or Alaska Native; and 0.2% were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. The race of 6.2% of victims was unknown.[*]Data captured about the relationship of victims to their offenders show that just over half (50.1%) of the victims knew their offenders (or at least one offender when more than one was present) but did not have a familial relationship to them. Approximately one quarter (24.7%) of the victims were related to their offenders (or at least one offender when more than one was present). Of the remaining 25.2% of victims, the relationships to their offenders were categorized as strangers, mutual combatants (victim was offender), or unknown. [/ul] Offenders:
[ul][*]Of these offenders, 38.2% were between 21 and 35 years of age.[*][b]By gender, most offenders (62.1%) were male[/b]; 24.2% were female; and the gender for 13.7% of known offenders was unknown.[*][b]By race, more than half (50.8%) of known offenders were white; 29.6% were Black or African American[/b]; and 2.2% were of other races. The race was unknown for 17.4% of reported known offenders. [/ul]Your argument is muddled. It raises a question and I’m asking that question.
The point is crime and violence, not deflectors. Hate crime is on the increase. I question that Black on Black crime is part of that hate crime increase.
So thanks, I don’t need you to do my dissertation homework for me. Your argument and homework misses some very salient points.
So White people as well as Black people have more to fear from their own respective races when it comes to crime. And that says what exactly about hate crimes?
Nothing. Nothing at all.

I left the part about ‘running for pres while VP’ out because it’s not what he actually said. It’s just Biden word salad, if you look at the entire quote, it’s clear that he was talking about his 2007 campaign which was followed by his term as VP.

How can Joe Biden be both senile and impaired but dvious enough to essentially own the republicans on nearly every issue
Outsmarted them on the budget deal
getting a lot of his agenda through including bipartisan support on the Semiconductor bill and Infrastructure

Haha. We have the Problems Solvers caucus, Manchin and Sinema to thank for anything “bipartisan”

He got a Ukrainian prosecutor fired who was investigating Burisma
And who paid Joe & Hunter?
A Burisma executive who kept secret recordings of their deal

Chuck Grassley asserts there are 17 audio tapes proving the Bidens took bribes from Ukrainian national, two of which directly implicate Joe.
If those tapes exist, do you think they should be released?

My question did not ask you to compare the senility or lack thereof of Chuck Grassley versus Joe Biden.
My question was:
If those tapes exist, should they be released?
I know your brain is small, but its a simple question.
-
these are the tapes the claim are there but probably don’t exist. Tapes form a foreign person has of Biden’s son. So I’m not sure how that indicates Biden did anything. Chuck should produce the tapes. Chuck’s like Biden pushed Burisma to hire Hunter. Kind of like a coincidence that his GRandson is speaker of the house in Iowa. Guess he worked hard to get that.

[h1]Bidens 2024 vision: Play 2020 again[/h1]
[link=https://www.axios.com/politics-policy/joe-biden]President Biden[/link] is betting that 2024 voters will prefer continuity over Republican disruption, so he’ll ask for a second term by emphasizing what he did in his first and campaigning on largely the same proposals he ran on in 2020.
His approach is in stark contrast to former President Trump, the leading GOP candidate, who has published [link=https://www.axios.com/2023/05/21/trump-2025-vision]a sweeping far-right agenda [/link]that would dramatically increase his own power.…
Biden’s decision to run on his past legislative victories such as the [link=https://www.axios.com/2021/11/15/biden-signs-infrastructure-bill-law]bipartisan infrastructure law[/link] and his [link=https://www.axios.com/2022/08/16/biden-reconciliation-inflation-reduction-act]climate and health care bill[/link] rather than make big promises for new policies reflects his top advisers’ confidence that the country is heading in the right direction.
But that approach which the campaign has framed as finish the job has [link=https://www.axios.com/2023/02/28/biden-economic-strategy-risk-2024]risks[/link].

The reason he will win is hes the not Trump candidate. Every Dem, many moderate Reps and most independents will vote for him no matter what he does. The worst thing he could do is try to please the progressives. Be the moderate he promised in 2020 and he will win again by a larger margin. The only thing that would hurt him is low turn out. No worry of that if DJT is in the race.
It would help if he had a running mate that moderate Dems thought was a better back up.-

BREAKING: Senator Chuck Grassley released the FD-1023 form, alleging that Mykola Zlochevsky, Burisma’s founder, paid a $5,000,000 bribe each to Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden to have Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin fired.
Hunter was reportedly hired by Zlochevsky to use his political influence to halt investigations into money laundering.
In 2018, Joe Biden admitted to pressuring Ukraine’s President to fire Shokin, who was investigating his son’s Ukrainian energy company, using the threat of withholding a $1 billion US loan guarantee.
In 2020, Ukrainian officials seized a $6 million cash bribe linked to Zlochevsky, aimed at stopping an investigation into Burisma’s founder.
The bribe was found in the form of $100 bills wrapped in rubber bands and held in plastic bags.

Fits with the story Joe himself told on video about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired:

now of course none of this actually happened anywhere except in the demented minds of Rudy and Trumpy. Been de-bunked a whole lot of times that everyone was pushing shokin to be fired for not pursuing corruption. Also what do you with 6 million in cash in a bag. You can’t just walk up to a bank and deposit it, you can’t get through and airport with it, you can’t pay cash for a car. Do the Biden’s own some car washes like Walter White?

Its funny to me that Trump derangement syndrome broke you Democrats brains so much that youre not the least bit inquisitive about the alleged Biden corruption. You probably wont even read the articles about it because you cannot be intellectually honest with yourself.

If theres any evidence of anything why havent comer and gymbro gotten to the bottom of it?
Heres Comer saying I think. This is the biggest load of crap hes spewed yet.

House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY): “I think that Joe Biden has been selling access to our enemies for decades.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX): “What’s your basis for that?”
Comer: “If you study Joe Biden like I have, he’s always been cash-strapped.” pic.twitter.com/Lhq6WRTX9E

[h1]Why Bidens MTG Ad is So Damn Effective[/h1]
[link=https://www.messageboxnews.com/p/why-bidens-mtg-ad-is-so-damn-effective?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=65026&post_id=135312243&isFreemail=true&utm_medium=email]Dan Pfeiffer[/link]:Earlier this week, President Biden [link=https://twitter.com/JoeBiden/status/1681424737384435713?s=20]tweeted out this video[/link] of Greene making an impressively persuasive case for Bidenomics.
To say people went bananas for this video would be a huge understatement. It had 10 million views across all platforms within three hours. That number was over 50 million by Thursday. Marjorie Taylor Greene stumbling into a campaign ad for Biden is just too much fun.
Its embarrassing for Greene and highlights her willfully ignorant approach to public life. The video is also a testament to the talented folks doing digital rapid response for Biden and the Democratic National Committee. Strategically, this video bodes well for Team Biden as they prepare for a long and brutal campaign.
I love dunking on MTG, but I am in love with this video for another reason it is the archetype of what political communicators should aim for.[/QUOTE]
I approve this message. pic.twitter.com/f1q5giNM8j

they’ve done a good job at flipping the script.
– MTG basically made an ad for him. He’s FDR. Well FDR had something around 70% approval.
– Bidenomics. Good try making it a negative because unemployment is low, inflation is down, markets are up, gace prices came down-ish. See you at the ground breaking for that project in your GOP district. Bideonomics at work.
– Brandon. Well Dark BRandon has been doing pretty well.

Youre right. Not creepy at all.
Imagine the media if that were Trump.

Man it sucks when Biden is actually the guy giving cover to the extremes to argue against moderation.

Bidenomics!
[b]U.S. Consumer Sentiment Jumps to 2-Year High[/b]
U.S. consumer sentiment soared in early July to an almost two-year high, bolstered by easing inflation and a strong labor market, Bloomberg reports.
The University of Michigan preliminary index rose by 8.2 points to 72.6, the highest since September 2021. The reading topped all forecasts in a Bloomberg survey of economists, and the monthly advance was the largest since 2006.

Uh oh! Inflation indicator? Don’t want that economy too hot!
