  • Anyone here do barbell lifts?

    I started Starting Strength Linear progression this year, just plateaued and transitioned to Texas Method. In my 40s, went from 192 to current 225lbs, squat 340 x 5RM, bench 240 x 5RM, overhead press 160 x 5RM, deadlifts – had back issues, stalled in the mid 200s and doing PT.

    I can bench press the bar.

      But that was before covid got my gym closed.

        throw in some core training days.  Do things like exercise ball table position and do isolateral work.   just press a lighter dumbell a whole bunch of times switching back and forth from arm to arm.  You can get a lot of core muscles working.  Planks.  Walk yourself out using arms across the exercise ball.  Kneel on the exercise and hold your balance for as long as possible.
