These allegations wouldn’t carry as much weight if they didn’t match his MO as described in the Howard Stern and Access Hollywood tapes.
I wonder how many weeks of hand-wringing it will take for NBC to release the archived tapes of Trumps misconduct on the apprentice set.

“Rudy Giuliani, who was mayor of New York on Sept. 11, 2001, claimed Wednesday that he recalled Hillary Clinton once saying she was “there that day,” presumably meaning the day of or directly following the World Trade Center attacks. “I don’t remember seeing Hillary Clinton there,” Giuliani told his audience.”

Rush doesn’t understand “consent” in relations. He thinks consent is a leftist plot.
And of course, women don’t really say what they mean. Don’t we all know that???
You know what the magic word, the only thing that matters in American sexual mores today is? One thing.
You can do anything, the left will promote and understand and tolerate anything, as long as there is one element. Do you know what it is? Consent.
If there is consent on both or all three or all four, however many are involved in the sex act, it’s perfectly fine. Whatever it is. But if the left ever senses and smells that there’s no consent in part of the equation then here come the rape police. But consent is the magic key to the left.
How many of you guys in your own experience with women have learned that no means yes, if you know how to spot it? Let me tell you something, in this modern world, that is simply thats not tolerated. People arent even going to try to understand that one. It used to be that it was a cliché. It used to be part of the advice young boys were given.-

He knew, but his campaign management didn’t. Had they known, they would have leaked this stuff through right leaning channels right after he got nominated. There would have been some ‘outrage’ but the impending Brad Pitt Jennifer Anniston divorce would have drowned it out within days. This timed release from the Clinton campaign just long enough before the election to sway the vote could have been pre-empted.-
Are Donald Trumps Rumored Apprentice Tapes Now Owned By Jeff Bezos?
[link=https://decider.com/tag/jeff-bezos]Jeff Bezos[/link] is paying up for MGM, and while hes getting an enviable catalogue, there may be other factors that played into this major Hollywood acquisition. Bezos company, Amazon, has acquired the historic MGM Studios for nearly $9 billion, The Hollywood Reporter [link=https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/business-news/mgm-sold-to-amazon-deal-4075596/]reports[/link], making Bezos the owner of classic titles like the James Bond film series and The Wizard of Oz but also an extensive collection of reality shows that includes [link=https://decider.com/show/the-apprentice]The Apprentice[/link], the series Donald Trump launched in 2004.
Now that The Apprentice has landed in Bezos hands, it could mean the release of the oft-rumored Apprentice outtakes, which have never been shared publicly but allegedly contain footage of Trump using questionable language. All of the footage from the long-running reality show is property of producer Mark Burnetts former production company One Three Media, which was [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/23/business/media/mgm-buys-big-stake-in-mark-burnetts-reality-tv-production-company.html]acquired by MGM in 2014[/link]. But now that the studio has been acquired by Amazon, does this mean that Bezos could finally share the alleged footage, escalating his [link=https://nypost.com/2019/01/13/trump-slams-jeff-bezos-over-affair-calls-him-jeff-bozo/]years-long feud[/link] with Trump?…
However, it is still unclear whether or not these rumored tapes were part of MGMs library, or if they are still controlled by Apprentice creator and longtime Trump crony Mark Burnett under some sort of carve-out arrangement.

Charles Krauthammer: [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/its-not-the-locker-room-talk-its-the-lock-her-up-talk/2016/10/13/9dd5fbea-9172-11e6-9c85-ac42097b8cc0_story.html?utm_term=.53c8060e5aa0]It’s not the ‘locker room’ talk; It’s the ‘lock her up’ talk[/link]
“Such incendiary talk is an affront to elementary democratic decency and a breach of the boundaries of American political discourse. In democracies, the electoral process is a subtle and elaborate substitute for combat, the age-old way of settling struggles for power.
One doesnt even talk like this. It takes decades, centuries, to develop ingrained norms of political restraint and self-control. But they can be undone in short order by a demagogue feeding a vengeful populism.
This election is not just about placing the nuclear codes in Trumps hands. Its also about handing him the instruments of civilian coercion, such as the IRS, the FBI, the FCC, the SEC. Think of what he could do to enforce the fairness he demands. Imagine giving over the vast power of the modern state to a man who says in advance that he will punish his critics and jail his opponent.
-
that’s probably not the best argument by Krauthammer. So we’re talking about locking up Hillary which the FBI decided not to do. No outside influence right ;-)? So why would that be different under Trump. The FBI would never recommend charges now. No prosecutor could ever make a case against her wrong doing 😉 ;-).
-
You’re still arguing the meme that it’s influence and conspiracy the reason she’s not already arrested & found guilty? You just know it’s true?
Krauthammer has the correct interpretation in this case, you don’t arrest and lock up the opposition just because they are the opposition.-

It was all related to the FBI and DOJ role in “failing” to jail Hillary Clinton.
Let’s not pretend that Trump has made some reasoned policy proposal to restructure our law enforcement and intelligence systems so that they better address domestic and international terrorism.
It is simply populist anti-democratic rage. There is no higher order thinking.-

The [link=http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/donald-trump-women-unearthed-1994-primetime-interview-nancy-collins-938176?utm_source=twitter]Hollywood Reporter[/link] has a transcript of an unaired 1994 episode of ABCs Primetime Live which featured Donald Trump being interviewed by Nancy Collins:
[blockquote] COLLINS: Lets talk about women. Your feelings toward them seem conflicted, even chauvinistic, confusing since you adore and respect your mother so much.
TRUMP: I have great relationships with women, my mother, Ivana, Marla, my female executives are better than the men: tougher, smarter
COLLINS: So why in 1992 did you tell a writer for New York magazine, Marie Brenner, that You have to treat women like shit ultimately pouring a bottle of wine down her back?
TRUMP: I didnt say that. The womans a liar, extremely unattractive, lots of problems because of her looks.
COLLINS: That statement is exactly why women think youre a chauvinist pig.
TRUMP: Theyre right and not. People say, How can you say such a thing? but theres a truth in it, in a modified form. Psychologists will tell you that some women want to be treated with respect, others differently. I tell friends who treat their wives magnificently, get treated like crap in return, Be rougher and youll see a different relationship. Unfortunately, with people in general, you get more with vinegar than honey.

How a known sexual molester has >35% of the vote in many polls is flabbergasting.

Guess some people are struggling economically and are so disgusted by establishment and politics, that they are willing to overlook allegations. Also they simply may dispise HRC so much that they ignore allegations. Allegations also are abstract to people, particularly ones that happened 20-30 years ago while things like picking justices for SCOTUS is real and tangible. Some people also don’t care about politicians personal cr*p as long as they think that the politician will fight for them and make their lives better. For example some would argue that Bill Clinton was one of the better presidents in modern times, and that his infidelities are simply between himself and his family

Im a product of one of those economically depressed regions
I was born in the rust belt/ coal/ steel country and I know many of those struggling
I can tell you growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, we all saw this happen. We saw The great Ronald Reagan plant the seeds of the current problems.
Under Reagan , the jobs starting going overseas, the manufacturing industry was slowly being outsourced.
College costs/tuition were outsourced to Reagans friends in the banking industry and universities were free to jack up tuition yearly because….. hey we could just borrow it and pay it big.
Reagan was the free trader…. the republicans pushed nearly all of these trade deals they are all of a sudden all against.
The 2 Bush presidents went to war in the Mideast that started the turmoil we see today
Now we have a large group many undereducated mad at the world because they don’t have those nice union jobs that their fathers had
Instead of getting educated and trying to get ahead they villanize academic, they hate science and they hate the people who will come here and do the work that needs to be done for a barely minimum wage
They were the Reagan democrats that over the course of 20-30 yrs became the alt right base of the Republican Party
Now they are F’d
They are undereducated they are working for a minimum wage in which their party thinks is already too high ….. and their mad to the point that they are controlled by the same conspiracy theories and individuals that F’d them over in the first place
As re-read this I can’t help but thin of Teleradiology and what it did to radiology as a whole
We let them in at our own expense…. a few got rich… and we are beatching because we are doing as well as our predecessors
Some may say this progress and maybe it is but maybe things just didn’t wind up progressing in the manner that we expected
-
You make a lot of good points. I don’t know why people are faced with certain facts and realities but come up with different conclusions. I really don’t think it’s an intelligence issue, likely more related to emotions/experiences growing up skewing perceptions one way or the other

And then you turn on Fox and they brush over the Trump sexual accusers. In a 30 minute period, they spent 2 minutes mentioning it and with few details, whereas in the same time period on CNN they spent 27 minutes discussing it.
There is no middle ground.
To be fair, I’d be more worried about electing a pathological liar than anything found in HRC’s emails. ALL politicians are corrupt to a certain degree. But not everyone lies every 5 minutes.-
not to mention Murdoch owned papers that have all this hate HRC but nada on Trump..puleez.. Trump is starting to get some traction on his complaints of the press acting as an agent for Clinton. He definitely has a point. The press destroyed Romney with much less than they have on Hillary, and are clearly in the tank for her… not a good use of the special privileges that we afford the press as essential element of democracy and a supposedly impartial broker.

1. The email issue is not a big deal. The leaks are all basically Staffers comments and a few exerpts from speeches. While they make good conspiracy theory for the Breibart types there is no smoking gun. Typical rt wing lets throw everything at the Clintons and see what sticks
2. As for Trump getting a raw deal from the media—- Well republicans say that every election cycle and it always gains traction with their base. And Yes I do believe the media is going after Trump but…………………. the one thing that is new here is that Trump is basically asking for it.
-He fat shamed a beauty contestant then doubled and tripled down on it with 3:00 am tweets. If he would have just shut up this issue was dead
– Same thing with a gold star family
– He brings Bill Clintons past up and then gets hit with his own sheet—- Whose fault is that? You cant blame the media for exposing the liar and cheater.
Yes the media may be out to get Trump but he brought it all on himself and for the most part they are just using his own words and his own blatant actions against him
Its not like the media is attacking some innocent victim here—————– So lets not play that game -

I don’t disagree that a majority of the emails have been somewhat trivial but some of it plays directly into the negative narrative about her…off the top of my head the comment about the need of having a public and private view, the comment about having open trade and open borders, and the comment about that its impossible to vet refugees yet she wants to allow more in…the 1st one is most damaging, if thats true then there is no trust or foundation. Of course one can argue that this is the norm for politicians but that also plays into the negative narrative about corrupt establishment/politics as usual. Finally the totality of the emails (I’m partially stealing/paraphrasing this from an interview I heard on CNN yesterday) is that she comes across as a calculating establishment politician, one who doesn’t have a true core of values or vision, she will basically say what she needs to say depending on the audience and time in order to accomplish her goal at that moment…this is why Bernie supporters have a hard time stomaching her, he comes across as a genuine person with a vision, she comes across as the polar opposite -
ALL politicians have a public view and a private view. This is the definition of politics. You must pander to some groups if you want to get elected. The American public is completely naïve and stupid if they don’t get this. There is a difference between this and being a pathological liar and narcissist.

Deleted UserOctober 17, 2016 at 10:11 amI don’t disagree with much of what you say….Perhaps many in the public are too close minded to understand
Im not really sure its that bad though at least from my perspective
examples
This public vs Private perspective is straight out of the Black and white politicans need conviction crap that we heard a few years back……….. the reality is in order to get a lot of stuff passed and to effectively move things forward you have to deal with all sides
If you are trying to get legislation passed to advance a cause isn’t it important that your public perspective be different from your private perspective because if you stick to every single gun you may not get anything done
The Lincoln example was actually Quite good……….. He was personally very anti slavery but he had to temper his public views somewhat to get the 13th amend passed …………subsequently he made enemies on the right that felt he went to far and enemies on the left who felt he didn’t go far enough.
If you understand what Hillary really said on this issue …. she was basically saying you need to compromise sometimes to get something done and settle for the fact that it isn’t ideally what you really want but it is progress to your eventual goal
Somewhere along the line some in our polarized society It has become the view of the Alt right that conviction is more of virtue rather compromise.
compromise by them has been labeled as somewhat of a weakness
I disagree

Why is all this a surprise about Trump’s followers? He is saying what they’ve been hearing from Republicans and Libertarians since Reagan (Government IS the problem) and especially since the last 8 years. It will be what we hear for the next 8 years from Republicans and Libertarians. “What’s the Matter with Kansas?” Kansas is not their fault, it’s the Liberals and Democrats that have ruined everything in Kansas and the country.

Deleted UserOctober 16, 2016 at 7:50 pmThis may be the first time in my lifetime I am forced to vote 3rd party. I do not want to stay home and not vote, as I have great respect for our democracy and all those who have given their lives over the years to defend it, however I am not sure I can bring myself to vote for either of these clowns.

so you’re willing to throw in a vote for mr. “…and what is aleppo”?

Excessive (and free) media attention is a double edged sword. When it was getting Trump where he wanted to go he couldn’t get enough of it. Not feeling sorry for him. His own incompetannce is shining through.

Lincoln made deals on both sides to get that amendment thru..you have to compromise ..All companies should have both public and private with respect to certain circumstances( you don’t want competition to know everything..remember Trump is the one with oh I have a secret plan/don’t tell anyone)
Quote from hey
ALL politicians have a public view and a private view. This is the definition of politics. You must pander to some groups if you want to get elected. The American public is completely naïve and stupid if they don’t get this. There is a difference between this and being a pathological liar and narcissist.

Maybe the average voter cannot grasp this concept, particularly since so much of the mud-slinging in politics involves trying to label someone dishonest and untrustworthy which is only amplified with the media, internet etc. Its an interesting ethical question, is being dishonest/misleading justified when the result is for the greater good?…Things get blurry though when the public perception if that one is lying for self-serving reasons which some people see HRC doing with the wall street speeches (I will support you in private to get cash/votes but in public I will oppose you to get potential donations/votes). I guess one can argue that by helping herself personally she is somehow helping out the Democratic party? Overall though the optics are bad, an analogy would be Trump giving a paid private speech to an organization promoting illegal immigration on national security/immigration and saying something similar about private/public views (I know its a wacky analogy but hopefully you get my point!)

HRC emails while have some shady elements clearly nothing earthshattering so far. Nothing that will derail her campaign that’s for sure. She’s been in this game for a long time and is paranoid by nature (vast right wing conspiracy talk etc) to do anything very self-incriminating. I still can’t believe she did the private email server thing – really dumb for her.

I think either really dumb like you say, or she just thinks she can do whatever she wants. Neither cast her in a good light. I think the optics on this were bad but they’re getting way worse. Now it looks like state department might have been in cahoots in some way with the FBI. That only further the narrative of a cover up.

Unlikely to derail her campaign but embarrassing to say the least, quote from Clinton Aide Doug Band describing Chelsea:
”As they say, the apple doesn’t fall far. A kiss on the cheek while she is sticking a knife in the back, and front”-
Daily Beast now reporting that Gary Busey sexually assaulted a female Apprentice employee. Also said Trump laughed at Busey’s groping.
Just what the Trump camapign needs…. the press swarming on Gary Busey for a statement.-
The Donald Jr. not looking to hot on Opie and Anthony. Here lies the candidacy of Donald Trump. He was done in by shock jocks.

I saw the tape – I hope he does not think about running for elected office. The tape will be used against him. His comments were bad.

Ironically HRC complimented him on his kids, honestly thought it was one of her most genuine, positive moments where she came across as a sincere person (motherly) rather than a rehearsed politician
