Rudy tells a little story about young woman professional golfer Michelle Wie’s panties while doing a tribute to Rush.

The look on Bannon’s face says it all.

Boys will be boys. Besides, it was her strange stance at fault there.
Giuliani Criminal  Probe Awaits Merrick Garland
[link=https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-new-york-biden-cabinet-new-york-city-lobbying-6ae5e84e151bf0550536dfbb1eac9d20]Associated Press[/link]: A federal probe into the overseas and business dealings of the former New York City mayor and close ally of former President Donald Trump stalled last year over a dispute over investigative tactics as Trump unsuccessfully sought reelection and amid Giulianis prominent role in subsequently disputing the results of the contest on Trumps behalf.

But the U.S. attorneys office in Manhattan has since returned to the question of bringing a criminal case against Giuliani, focusing at least in part on whether he broke U.S. lobbying laws by failing to register as a foreign agent related to his work.

Federal Investigators Search Giulianis Apartment
Federal investigators in Manhattan executed a search warrant at the Upper East Side apartment of Rudy Giuliani, the [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/28/nyregion/rudy-giuliani-trump-ukraine-warrant.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage]New York Times[/link] reports.

Executing a search warrant is an extraordinary move for prosecutors to take against a lawyer, let alone a lawyer for a former president, and it marks a major turning point in the long-running investigation into Mr. Giuliani.
While the warrant is not an explicit accusation of wrongdoing against Mr. Giuliani, it shows that the investigation has entered an aggressive new phase. To obtain a search warrant, investigators need to persuade a judge they have sufficient reason to believe that a crime was committed and that the search would turn up evidence of the crime.

btw – Barrs DOJ blocked execution of the search warrant

This was even *after* the election when there was no appropriate reason to justify refusal. (As Rudy was leading the charge to overturn the 2020 Presidential vote)

Rudy is one interesting guy.  I guess he flew too close to the sun as America’ss Mayor.  Then his hair melted.  He did kooky press conferences at the wrong Four Seasons.  He farted on Jenna Ellis.  Caught the Covid.  Went down the rabbit hole on election conspiracy.  Never produced any evidence.  Got Borat’d.

Victoria Toensing, GOP operative and wife of Joe DiGenova also had a search warrant executed today.

Rudy Giuliani is a great patriot, he does these things, he just loves this country, and they raid his apartment. Its like, so unfair, and such a double standard like I dont think anybodys ever seen before I dont know what theyre looking for.

President Joe Biden [link=https://nbcnews.to/2QxDbYZ]told NBC News[/link] that he was not briefed about the search warrants executed at Rudy Giulianis apartment and office and learned about moves by federal investigators at the same time as the public.
Said Biden: I give you my word, I was not.
He added: I made a pledge. I would not interfere in any way order or try to stop any investigation the Justice Department had in their way. I learned about that last night when the rest of the world learned about it.
Investigators Already Working with Giuliani Associates
By the time federal investigators [link=https://politicalwire.com/2021/04/28/federal-investigators-raid-giulianis-apartment/]searched the Manhattan home of Rudy Giuliani[/link] on Wednesday, they had amassed a trove of evidence from his associates in Ukraine, focusing most intently on Giulianis ties to Ukrainian oligarchs, [link=https://time.com/6020207/rudy-giuliani-investigation-witnesses/]Time[/link] reports.

The witnesses, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described lengthy interviews with investigators in Europe, Manhattan and Washington, starting in the fall of 2019 and continuing through February. The calls and meetings with investigators grew more frequent and intense after Joe Bidens victory in last falls presidential election.

Two of the witnesses say they were working with Giuliani while cooperating with federal investigators.

[strike]FBI Warned Giuliani He Was Target of Criminal Probe in 2019
The FBI warned Rudy Giuliani in late 2019 that he was the target of a Russian influence operation aimed at circulating falsehoods intended to damage President Biden politically ahead of last years election, the [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/rudy-giuliani-fbi-warning-russia/2021/04/29/5db90f96-a84e-11eb-bca5-048b2759a489_story.html]Washington Post[/link] reports.

Meanwhile, Giuliani [link=https://twitter.com/atrupar/status/1387923750201475076]told Tucker Carlson[/link] that he offered FBI agents Hunter Bidens hard drives while they raided his residence, but they wouldnt take them.
[/strike]

Edit: 5/2/2021 – NYT, WaPo, NBC retract portion of story that says Rudy was forewarned.  FBI was aware in 2019 but did not inform Giuliani

Rudy refutes the claim, accuses the Barr DOJ —

“The DOJ in late 2019 covertly obtained access to my iCloud and never notified me. They invaded the attorney client relationship as we were defending against the phony impeachment. These prosecutors violated the laws, not me. If again, nothing is done, you could be next.”

[/link]

In late 2019, a few things happened. Giuliani went back to Ukraine, this time in the company of the right-wing cable channel One America News, to interview various individuals making claims about the Bidens. It was a rogues gallery, as independent observers could ([link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/12/11/what-rudy-giuliani-is-up/?itid=lk_inline_manual_18]and did[/link]) determine even in real-time, including obviously biased and dubious figures. He met, for example, with a guy named Andriy Derkach, a member of Ukraines parliament whom an expert interviewed by NBC News [link=https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/internet/sondland-testified-misleading-ukraine-story-spread-among-conservatives-social-media-n1087511]described[/link] as a professional disinformer.

Giuliani was already under investigation by the Justice Department, a probe that exploded into public view this week with the seizure of phones and computers from his home and office. In early 2019, Giuliani’s attorney claimed on Thursday, the feds had [link=https://www.thedailybeast.com/feds-got-into-rudy-giulianis-icloud-with-a-covert-warrant-while-he-repped-trump-in-2019-lawyer-says]used a warrant[/link] to probe personal information of Giuliani’s stored in Apple’s online iCloud service.

Again, we now know that Giuliani had been warned about this but, like Trump speaking to Stephanopoulos, he seemed not to have cared very much. Nor did he apparently care about the accuracy of the information he received or how he received it.
also, its being reported that there were individuals/witnesses working with Giuliani while those same witnesses were cooperating covertly with federal investigators.

Giuliani Presses Trump to Pay Him
As a federal investigation into Rudy Giuliani escalates, his advisers have been pressing aides to former President Donald Trump to reach into a $250 million war chest to pay Mr. Giuliani for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election on Mr. Trumps behalf, the [link=https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/04/us/politics/rudy-giuliani-warrant-trump.html]New York Times[/link] reports.

The pressure from Mr. Giulianis camp has intensified since FBI agents executed search warrants at Mr. Giulianis home and office last week, according to people familiar with the discussions, and comes as Mr. Giuliani has hired new lawyers and is facing his own protracted and costly legal battles.
Prosecutors Seek Special Master for Giuliani Materials
Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have asked a judge to appoint a special master or independent review for materials seized when the FBI executed search warrants on Rudy Giulianis home and office last week, [link=https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/04/politics/giuliani-fbi-special-master/index.html]CNN[/link] reports.

Calling it a step that would be appropriate to ensure attorney-client privilege is protected, prosecutors filed the request under seal last Thursday, the day after the searches were conducted.

{The same process [link=https://politicalwire.com/2018/06/05/little-seized-from-cohen-is-deemed-privileged/]was used[/link] for the Michael Cohen case.)

George Conway:

[link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/05/06/george-conway-giuliani-raid-trump-fear/?utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=wp_opinions&utm_source=twitter]https://www.washingtonpos…amp;utm_source=twitter[/link]

What Trump has to fear from Rudy Giuliani
As a former associate attorney general and former U.S. attorney, Giuliani surely understands that federal search warrants against lawyers dont just fall off trees. The Justice Department [link=https://www.justice.gov/jm/jm-9-13000-obtaining-evidence#9-13.420]doesnt like them[/link], out of respect for the attorney-client privilege. Prosecutors [link=https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/05/02/giuliani-trump-legal-trouble-485186]will use them[/link] if they have really strong evidence a lawyer is up to no good, and if very senior personnel in Washington agree. And, of course, only with the blessing of a federal court.

If Giuliani has anything to offer prosecutors to save himself, it would have to be Trump, the only bigger fish left. And it was [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/01/22/trump-charges-george-conway/?itid=lk_inline_manual_21]arguably criminal[/link] for the then-president to have used his official powers to try to coerce foreign officials into aiding his reelection campaign. In fact, Giulianis admission that he wasnt conducting foreign policy, but merely helping Trump personally, is exactly what would make the scheme prosecutable. The former guy just might want to rethink stiffing Giuliani on those bills.

Thats not the ultimate irony of Giulianis predicament. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan [link=https://apnews.com/article/ahmaud-arbery-europe-election-2020-biden-cabinet-entertainment-b0dd030b059601d103f8ba5a8b95991a]tried to get permission[/link] last fall for a Giuliani raid but were rebuffed by senior officials serving under Trump. And last June, for reasons still [link=https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/09/politics/geoffrey-berman-house-testimony/index.html]opaque[/link], then-Attorney General William P. Barr ousted the U.S. attorney there and tried to handpick a successor.

If any of that was intended to protect Giuliani or Trump himself it might end up backfiring spectacularly. If a warrant had been executed before Jan. 20, its hard to imagine that Trump wouldnt have pardoned Giuliani, out of spite, self-interest or both.

Now its too late. As Giuliani cautioned on the newly disclosed transcript, be careful of the people around you, because they can very easily, they can very easily get you into trouble. That might be the only advice he gave that turned out to be right.

Giuliani’s son tells Russian state TV people don’t want to live in America after FBI raided his dad

[link=https://www.rawstory.com/andrew-giuliani-russia-today/]https://www.rawstory.com/…giuliani-russia-today/[/link]

The son of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani went on Russian TV to push conspiracy theories about the federal investigation of his father.

“The thing that’s been amazing is over the last couple of weeks, how many people — and some of these people are people who haven’t talked to my father in five or ten years — have come out and said, ‘We may not have always agreed with your politics, but we completely agree this is absolutely the wrong thing to see our Justice Department politicize something as badly as they have.’ So it’s been people who have been very strong Trump supporters and some who have not been Trump supporters. They don’t want to live in a country where you’re going to have a Justice Department that is going to politicize something to the point where a former president’s personal counsel is going actually be spied on by the Justice Department,” he claimed.

“And that’s very scary for just everyday citizens, cause like you said, if they do it him, they could do it to us and no one would probably even know,” Russia Today personality Scottie Nell Hughes.

He was also saying something about his reputation being diminished. Pretty sure that went out the went sometime before the Four Seasons (landscaping) press conference.
