I don’t think it’s beyond the realm of possibility that he could at least make a practice squad.  The Rams have a pretty stacked D, so I’m sure that didn’t help his making the cut.

I watched their pre season games. He is Ok but he doesn’t play special teams and isn’t good enough to make their roster

The reality of the situation is he has limited upside and will never be a NFL starter and while I could see teams putting him on a practice squad he would still be of limited value because most teams use the practice squad as developmental for players who have upside but are raw or they fill it with guys who are more postion flexible to serve as practice dummies

      Sam is neither

Couple that with the constant media attention afforded a player of no value and you can see why no team takes him

Simply put Michael Sam is the Gay Tim Tebow………. Very nice guy but just not good enough to be an nfl player

based on crazy stuff Jerry jones says I wouldn’t doubt it’s not all for publicity.  He had an interesting rant about not picking Manziel, who he said would’ve kept them relevant for the next 8 years.  Jerry wanted him but everyone else said no.  Dude”s got an ego the size of Texas.

The cowboys need help. No harm taking a flyer on Sam by putting him on the practice squad

One last time to post this video on “How to talk to your kids about Michael Sam” while it’s still relevant.

Jerrah’s defense was decimated last year…this year they’re staying relatively healthy.  wouldn’t surprise me if Sams is either picked up by the ‘boys again, or signed hen the spate of mid- to late season injuries starts.

Just goes to show how high the level of NFL football is…..that the SEC defensive player of the year cannot even make a team.  Personally, i think he was mis-positioned as a defensive end/pass rusher.  .i could see him better suited as a smallish outside linebacker, or a safety, if he works on his 40 time.  He once had the 40 time to do this.
