• Lawsuit: 100,000 noncitizens registered to vote in Pennsylvania

Posted by Unknown Member on February 26, 2018 at 8:12 pm

Imagine that. A “glitch” that allows bureaucracy to propagate itself by inviting tens of thousands of aliens to vote.

Excerpt

Quote from Article

For months, Pennsylvania bureaucrats have concealed facts about noncitizens registering and voting that ends today, [link=https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/public-interest-legal-foundation/]PILF[/link] President and General Counsel J. Christian Adams said.

He said Pennsylvania had already admitted to a glitch dating back to the 1990s that had allowed noncitizens applying to renew drivers licenses to be offered the chance to register to vote. Mr. Adams said he now wants to find out how bad the problem is overall.

Pennsylvania officials wouldnt respond to the lawsuit, nor to the 100,000 noncitizen number.

Were not going to comment on anything related to litigation, said Wanda Murren, director of communications and press at the Pennsylvania Department of State.

The 100,000 number cited in the lawsuit comes from testimony given by Philadelphia Commissioner Al Schmidt, who revealed the glitch in the state motor vehicle bureaus systems that prompted noncitizens to register to vote.
Mr. Schmidt didnt respond to an email seeking comment.

While Pennsylvania refused [link=https://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/public-interest-legal-foundation/]PILF[/link] record requests, the group did manage to obtain data from some counties, and found several curious cases.

One man, Felipe Rojas-Orta, canceled his registration last year, filing a handwritten note saying he was not a citizen. He had, however, registered as a Democrat and voted in three separate elections, including most recently 2016, the year of the presidential race.

A woman had her registration canceled in 2006 as a noncitizen, yet re-registered to vote twice and cast ballots in some elections. That woman, a registered Democrat, is still active in the system, the lawsuit says.

Yet another woman voted in 2008 and 2012, had her registration canceled in 2014 because she wasnt a citizen, then reregistered and voted in 2016, according to documents filed in court. She was registered as a Democrat…

Funny numbers. Maybe Trump was correct about illegal voters and the election since he won Penn over Hillary by just that number of votes, 100,000. So now Trump and supporters want to prove voter fraud is the reason he WON in Penn?

These people are completely nuts.

I will be interested to see what that 100,000 number means.

A glitch that allows non-citizens to register to vote needs to be addressed regardless.

100,000 is a favorite number for “illegal” voter claims.

This is a result of the PA gerrymandering ruling. In other words, “fake news.”

Of course this is fake news. Frumi has said so.
And he is of course non-partisan in his facts and opinions.

The glitch is an issue. What remains to be seen is how many people actually voted that couldn’t. The voter rolls are scrutinized. I could also see that confusing people. If you’re given the option to register you might well think you’re registered.

I would bet that very few non-citizens voted even if they were inadvertantly registered.  If there were non-citizens registered we
need to take a look and correct it.  That would be the response from a reasonable person.  The opposite of how radical far leftists respond.

think we’re saying the same thing.  I said the glitch is an issue.

The Department of State, in a statement to The Associated Press, said it is reviewing data and that the figure “is not confirmed by any substantive analysis by the Department. It is not a credible figure and there is no reason to believe it to be accurate.”

[link=https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/27/us-voting-rights-voter-registration-ohio-purge]Ohio nearly purged 10,000 voters who ended up casting 2020 ballots[/link]

More than 10,000 people whom Ohio believed had [link=https://www.ohiosos.gov/media-center/press-releases/2021/2021-01-19/]abandoned[/link] their voter registration cast ballots in the 2020 election, raising more concern that officials are using an unreliable and inaccurate method to identify ineligible voters on the states rolls.

Are they believed to be Democratic voters?

it wouldn’t have mattered but it’s for sure a priority in OH to suppress votes.
