Fading Biden and his handlers
This is appallingly rude. This just happened. Biden looks like hes starting to fall asleep and Bidens handlers interrupt Boris Johnson midsentence yelling that the event is over and media has to leave.
The ultimate disrespect to a world leader.

Here is a link to the full video. Biden had just made a point that he was firm that the UK could not do anything with Brexit trade in Northern Ireland to harm the Good Friday accords.
Boris Johnson started speaking in agreement and Biden was nodding along as Boris Johnson saying he agrees that no one wants to see that happen.
Start at around the 10 minute mark and you will get the entire exchange. It is not Biden sleeping. (Just like it wasn’t with the Israeli PM)

The sad thing is there is no need to edit his videos. Just recording him talking without a script will leave you scratching your head of what it is he was trying to say. And and to say that this is stutter is an insult to anyone with a speech impediment.

The rules around these bilateral pressers are often agreed upon … but also often not.
Boris Johnson wanted to take questions from the British press corps. Biden’s team didn’t want questions.
Johnson took two, but the Biden team didn’t want to have Biden answering questions… so they ended it abruptly.
If you want to make a legitimate thread title it would be “Biden continues to avoid press conferences.”
That is a true statement and is a legitimate criticism. The Biden team believes that they won the 2020 election because they limited Biden’s press availability and thus his ability to shoot himself in the foot, as evidence by his entire political career.
That was a great campaign strategy. It is not good for our democracy for the President to refuse questions from the press.
But when the entire thread is started on a false premise it’s tough to get to an actual discussion.

NIGEL FARAGE: What a bizarre spectacle, to see two important world leaders muzzled behind the thickest face masks that could possibly ever been made. So much so it was actually quite difficult to hear anything anyone was saying. But that was the first thing that was utterly bizarre. And I think Boris Johnson and of course, you know, our culture as yours has always been, is that leaders are accountable to the press, from all sides and all opinions, who could ask questions. And I think Boris was completely stunned that the new culture in America, who was supposed to be the leaders of the free world, is that the president doesn’t take questions.
So Boris decided to sort of in an impromptu way, try and take a few questions and the White House press team didn’t like it and protested. And so we’re sort of asking ourselves a question here in the UK this morning. If Joe Biden doesn’t take questions from journalists and therefore isn’t accountable for what he’s doing as leader of America or leader of the free world, we have to ask ourselves a question. Is he actually fit and proper and competent to be doing the job?
I titled the thread what I did to be an all encompassing discussion of all things related to the fading light that is Joe Biden and the lengths his handlers are going to in order to shield him This scenario that happened yesterday is my first entry into the discussion.

If you want a topic to be one in which there is actual reasonable discussion, try to not go with an inflammatory title. Instead of “Fading Biden and his handlers,” consider “Biden Press Conferences/ Availability” or something like that.
If you want reasonable discussion, try not making the first post in the thread a link to a right wing twitter account using deceptive editing to create misinformation.
Again, welcome to OT. Actual debate and discussion welcomed. Hyperbolic bullspit and fake news not so much.
