2022-2023 Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at University of Utah
The Department of Radiology at the University of Utah offers an exceptional one-year fellowship in Abdominal Imaging. The fellowship is comprised of multimodality abdominal and pelvic imaging with an MR emphasis, including state-of-the-art hepatobiliary, enterography, prostate, rectal, as well as gynecologic imaging and MR defecography.
The University of Utah Health System offers the latest in MR, CT, and ultrasound technology, including 14 MRI and 7 CT scanners, a new fleet of state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, as well as MR-OR suites and MR-IR suites. The University Hospital is a level-1 trauma center with an award-winning transplant program, providing fellows with ample experience in both emergency and transplant imaging.
The Department of Radiology is affiliated with the nationally renowned, NCCN-accredited Huntsman Cancer Hospital, providing fellows with extensive exposure to oncologic imaging. Fellows likewise have the opportunity to perform a high volume of US and CT-guided biopsies. Additional elective time in specific areas may be arranged, depending upon the fellow’s interests. This well-established fellowship program allows trainees to successfully pursue both academic and private practice careers given the high volume and wide variety of abdominal imaging studies and abundant procedural experience.
