Trump stoops to new low
Posted by saro19 on July 30, 2016 at 11:33 pmAs a proud family member of the military, I am outraged that Mr. Trump would compare his “sacrifice” of a privileged life in business to that of losing a loved one, who defended Our Nation on the battlefield. Oh and John McCain is not a war hero because he spent years in a POW camp. Please America, wake up.

Please! This was the one forum I enjoyed for its lack of froth about the Presidential campaign. Can’t we keep it that way?

DICOM 7–I am a Trump supporter. Will not support Clinton.
BUT, this post violates the unwritten rules of this section of AM.
Do not do this.
I read this section ’cause the personal vitriol of the ‘off topic’ section is something else. Delete this phony ‘newby’ thread , please. -

You don’t have to block. Probably just a new guy who hasn’t got the rules yet.
Brian will move it to OT soon enough. 🙂-
ps — AM forum software doesn’t allow the OP to delete the thread nor change the title.

Quote from MSK/SW
Apologize and delete.
Taking a lead from you-know-who, perhaps he should not ever apologize but double down and hit back with ad hominem, aiming at some perceived vulnerability related to gender, race, faith, or disability.
But agree, completely off topic and should be shifted to the other sub-forum.-
-
Or, taking a lead from ‘you know who’, perhaps just delay, delay, delay, gather $ from other nation states, start a corrupt foundation, blame a video on YouTube, as the bodies fly in to Dover AFB, and the families gather, place your server in a bathroom, delete the email that sent the thread, then lie, and lie and lie, and finally say it is time to move on cause people are not interested, all to the applause from NBC/ABC/CNN/CBS and NPR!
-
But agree w/ Flounce, move it here. Thanks Brian.
Co-Chair Of NY Trump Camp: Khan Doesn’t Deserve Title Of Gold Star Parent
The co-chair for Donald Trumps campaign in New York is defending the Republican nominee’s attacks against the Khan family, saying that Trump does not have to respect or refer to Khizr Khan as a “Gold Star parent” because he is “a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
All right, I dont care if hes a Gold Star parent,” he continued. “He certainly doesnt deserve that title, OK, if hes as anti-American as hes illustrated in his speeches and in his discussion. I mean, if hes a member of the Muslim Brotherhood or supporting, you know, the ISIS-type of attitude against America, theres no reason for Donald Trump to have to honor this man.
Paladino, who made a failed bid for governor of New York in 2010, went on to say that he does not feel that Trump should change his rhetoric in any way and that no one can be sure that President Obama is not a Muslim. ‘Wait, wait wait,” he said. ‘How do you know that’s not true?! That’s not fair, Connell! You’ve formed a conclusion about a man because he’s told you that.”
Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort was just on CNN and was asked directly about Palladino’s comments and refused to denounce.
(Sidebar: Watching Manafort on State of the Union was one of the most painful things I had to do all week. Deny, Deny, Deny, obfuscate, pivot to something about Clinton.. that’s the game plan.)

As stoops Trump so go his staffers:

Racism and talk of religious war: Trump staff’s post ugly things online
Donald Trump’s paid campaign staffers have declared on their personal social media accounts that Muslims are unfit to be U.S. citizens, ridiculed Mexican accents, called for Secretary of State John Kerry to be hanged and stated their readiness for a possible civil war, according to a review by The Associated Press of their postings.
The AP examined the social media feeds of more than 50 current and former campaign employees who helped propel Trump through the primary elections. The campaign has employed a mix of veteran political operatives and outsiders. Most come across as dedicated, enthusiastic partisans, but at least seven expressed views that were overtly racially charged, supportive of violent actions or broadly hostile to Muslims.
A graphic designer for Trump’s advance team approvingly posted video of a black man eating fried chicken and criticizing fellow blacks for ignorance, irresponsibility and having too many children. A Trump field organizer in Virginia declared that Muslims were seeking to impose Sharia law in America and that “those who understand Islam for what it is are gearing up for the fight.”-
Donald Trump’s paid campaign staffers have declared on their personal social media accounts
Look at the first line. It was on their accounts. They are not his words nor his account. Yet, Hillary’s personal confident Huma Abedin has been tied into and was involved for many years with the radical Muslim league which opposed and published against women’s rights and also blamed the US for 9/11. Where is your outrage or post on this story that the main stream media will not cover?-

The main difficulty Trump faces in dispelling the impression that he is a racist is that Trump is, in fact, a gigantic racist.

It is covered…she worked for her mother…there is no evidence that she has her mother views and beliefs toward Islamic women …guilt by association and innuendo
[link=http://www.snopes.com/2016/08/22/huma-abedin-muslim-journal/]http://www.snopes.com/201…abedin-muslim-journal/[/link]-
Covered? What are you talking about? She was the assistant editor from 1996 – 2008 and was no longer listed as editor when she went to work for HRC. The person that said she was just listed was HRC’s own spokesman. Did you think he would admit to it? If this was Trump the media would be investigating it for days. Article also said they were waiting for comment from the campaign.
”Huma continued to work for her mothers journal through 2008. She is listed as assistant editor on the masthead of the 2002 issue in which her mother suggested the US was doomed to be attacked on 9/11 because of sanctions it leveled against Iraq and other injustices allegedly heaped on the Muslim world….”
”It turns out the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs is an Abedin family business.”
Guilt by inneudo? Her name was on the article.-
What exactly is her crime? She’s Muslim? She wrote an article or 2? She sees Muslims being attacked and segregated and persecuted just for their religion & her feelings are proof of support for Islamic violence?
Heck, on these pages just mention police and Black Lives Matter or Israel or “I don’t hate Muslims” & see the vitriol.
I want to know what heinous crimes and sympathies she is guilty of before I condemn her.-
Ah the master conspiracy…marrying a philandering Jewish man and not wearing traditional women’s attire a ruse to hide her sympathy for Islamic terrorism and the ill treatment of women in traditional Islamic society…genius..it is almost as if she doesn’t believe the things that she must believe in

I did not say she committed a crime. If she worked for Trump the media would have a field day. It was in response to the post about personal accounts of Trump staffers and their comments when Clinton herself has a confident that has her name on a publication that published stories against women’s rights and 9/11.

The pollsters also asked whether respondents felt that Trump’s campaign rhetoric appeals to bigotry. Well over half, 59 percent, said that it did.
Even worse for Trump, a plurality of every demographic save Republicans felt that he appealed to bigotry, including majorities of independents, men, women, whites with or without college degrees, people aged 64 or younger and both whites and nonwhites. Among all whites, 54 percent felt that Trump appeals to bigotry (with 50 percent of white men agreeing). Among nonwhites, the figure was 72 percent. (With 29 percent of Republicans saying they think he appeals to bigotry and 84 percent supporting him, that means that at least 13 percent of Republicans both think he appeals to bigotry and plan to give him their vote.)-
Apparently Anne Coulter is quoted today as saying something along the lines of Trump was imitating a “Standard Retard”. By golly you couldn’t even make this up. I’m assuming Anne Coulter is going to hell and she doesn’t want to wait in line.

Bannon doesn’t like whiny brat Jews
Donald Trumps campaign CEO Stephen Bannon was branded an anti-Semite by the same ex-wife who claimed he choked her, court documents reveal.
Mary Louise Piccard said in a 2007 court declaration that Bannon didnt want their twin daughters attending the Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles because many Jewish students were enrolled at the elite institution.Said Piccard in a court statement at the time: The biggest problem he had with Archer is the number of Jews that attend. He said that he doesnt like the way they raise their kids to be whiny brats and that he didnt want the girls going to school with Jews.

So one supposes Conservative Bannon is against Chicago University’s new announcement of tolerance to different ideas?

Consider this list of Trumps chosen: Former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski had a brutal and demeaning style that resulted in a staff revolt, and his manhandling of a female reporter overshadowed the Trump campaign for weeks. Former campaign chairman Paul Manafort was paid lucrative consulting fees by foreign interests and resigned after reports that Ukraine anti-corruption investigators were scrutinizing millions in alleged payments there.
Longtime adviser Roger Stone is a crackpot conspiracy theorist who asserts that Bill and Hillary Clinton are plausibly responsible for the deaths of roughly 40 people and that Hillary Clinton should be executed for murder. Confidant Roger Ailes recently stepped down from his job at Fox News under a cloud of sexual harassment claims. And Steve Bannon, Trumps new campaign chief executive, is known for his bullying tactics and for running a website (Breitbart News) that flirts with white nationalism.
There are a few exceptions to this pattern Kellyanne Conway and Mike Pence come to mind but Trump has hired and elevated some of the very worst people in American politics, known for their cruelty, radicalism, prejudice and corruption.

-
CNN discussion this am:
Sheldon Adelson, despite his pledge to financially support Trump, has yet to actually give the campaign or any of the SuperPacs any money. Concern over Trump’s tone came out in a meeting between the two men last week.
The recent disclosures of alleged antisemitism on the part of Bannon isn’t likely to help loosen up the check book.

Pastor Mark Burns, who frequently introduces Trump at campaign rallies, claimed on his church website to have a bachelors degree from North Greenville University and to have served six year in the Army Reserve.
CNN anchor Victor Blackwell asked Burns about these claims, noting that the Army said it had no record of him although he was in the South Carolina National Guard and the university said he only attended for one semester.
Burns admitted to Blackwell he did not receive his degree. Pressed further, Burns insisted he thought the interview was off the record. Blackwell said he never agreed to that.
“This is not fair at all,” Burns replied. “I thought we were doing a profile and all of a sudden you’re here to try to destroy my character.”
“I’m not here to destroy your character,” Blackwell responded. These are claims that were made on your website that was live while you were speaking at the Republican National Convention.

Trump appeared for a cameo in a Playboy soft-porn video.
Trump aggressively pushed for his (second) wife, Marla Maples to appear nude in Playboy, even going so far as negotiating the fee himself.
Keep it classy. Now I can clearly why Christian conservatives are so enthused.

Trump, who has no fixed ideology of his own except winning, has let himself become a host body for an ugly mélange of people and groups that spew poison, from Breitbart News its chief, Stephen Bannon, is now helping run Trumps campaign to white supremacist David Duke to radio host Alex Jones.
When Anderson Cooper asked Trump on Thursday if he was embracing the alt-right movement, Trump replied like a perfectly oblivious vessel: I dont even know nobody even knows what it is.
In the same way that the neocons used the uninformed W. as a host body to instigate the Iraq war, the alt-right has staged an Occupy Trump movement, purloining his unmoored campaign as brazenly as cat burglars.

I don’t know where to put this so I’ll put it here. From the “frustrated by media false equivalency file”
Jon Favreau said this on his part of the Left, Right, & Center “Rant”:
“So Donald Trump called HIllary Clinton a bigot yesterday and when he was asked to why she was a bigot he couldn’t reply. Neither could his campaign.
When Hillary Clinton said Trump was running a racist campaign she basically unloaded an entire oppo research book in public.
Yet the headlines today in the AP and Washington Post and Politico were ’Clinton and Trump trade racially charged barbs.'
I realize we want to make this a race and I realize we want to have some evenhandness here, but the false equivalence today is a little ridiculous.”

If anything, when it comes to Trumps racist support, she might have low-balled the number. …{T}his isnt a matter of gratuitous name-calling. This election has proved that there is much more racism in America than many believed. It came out of hiding in opposition to the first African American president, and it has been welcomed into the open by Trump.
The researchers found that 62 percent of white people gave black people a lower score in at least one of the attributes {of ;azy or unintelligent}. This was a jump in prejudicial attitudes from 2008, when 45 percent of white people expressed negative stereotypes. This question is a good indicator of how one votes: Republican Mitt Romney won 61 percent of those who expressed negative stereotypes. And, when the question was asked during the 2008 primaries, those with negative racial stereotypes consistently favored Republican candidates any of them over any Democratic candidate in hypothetical matchups.
Few people embrace the racist label, so lets help them. If you are very enthusiastic about a candidate who has based his campaign on scapegoating immigrants, Latinos and African Americans, talked of banning Muslims from the country, hesitated to disown the Ku Klux Klan and employed anti-Semitic imagery well, you might be a racist. But if you are holding your nose and supporting Trump only because you think him better than Clinton, that doesnt put you in the basket. …The new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds the two groups roughly equal: Forty-six percent of Trump supporters say they are very enthusiastic about his candidacy. The rest were somewhat or not terribly enthusiastic.-
as Cruz saw when he was attempting to have a conversation with a group of them
but forget about the Trump supporters( one has already been filmed assaulting a man at a NC rally);- focused on Trump’s incompetence and your vision -
Half are a racist? Where do you come up with that? First, the article is written to push the claim of racism which rears its ugly head in every election.
The article states you may be a racist not they are as you wrote. Next, the article clearly discusses 62% gave a low score in at least one but does not provide the exact data. The article does not indicate if there were questions specific toward racism. Stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination, and racism may go hand and hand and one may lead to the other. They also may not be related. One may stereotype and not discriminate. One may think one group is lazy but one may also not demonstrate prejudice or discriminate against that group. Then there are some that will think and will act and they are Democrats (think of some southern senators) Republicans, and independents. There may be other issues here such as conservatives do not like the social programs that government keeps offering. If they do not believe in such social programs they may answer those questions that one stereotypes a group.
Both sides are pushing the issue and it happens in every election where each side accuses the other to pander for votes. As I posted in another forum the African-American community has not done well under the current administration and the Democrats and their media supporters will tag the opposition as racist to hide the economic measures that show how well people actually did.
And by the way on September 16, 2001 in an interview HRC indicated that racial profiling should be used in some circumstances. She also indicated in an interview, I believe in 2006, that there may be areas on our border that we need a wall.-

The title of the piece as published in the Wasington Post is “Yes, half of Trump supporters are racist”.
