Abdominal pain after iintravenous contrast injection
Hi all,
I’ve had two patients in the last week who have had immediate central abdominal pain (without much nausea) after i.v contrast (Guerbet Xinitex) for CT coronary angiography. I don’t recall this being an issue over my prior 25 years supervising non-ionic contrast injections, recognising it is listed as a potential side effect. I’m going to feed back to the company but wondered have I just had a skewed experience and in fact this is a non-rare adverse reaction in your experience?
Thanks.
