I *think* I might have found my next car.  Finally likely to take the jump.
[link=https://www.autoevolution.com/news/2025-ford-bronco-phev-reportedly-getting-18-kwh-battery-for-30-mile-electric-driving-range-218673.html]2025 Ford Bronco PHEV.[/link]
I’m only at 80k miles on my 2015 Audi Q7 now. So I figure by 2025 it will be time to get a new one.

Need a full size SUV for trips to Canada, hauling dogs, and transporting sailing gear, etc.  But I also do a lot of typical ‘suburban housewife’ driving (urban househusband, I suppose) around town and only have 10 miles to the office. So I should be able to the majority of my day-to-day without using gas.

assuming people can plug-in and recharge at work (pretty common these days), that lets you do a 60 mile (roundtrip) commute solely on battery which should cover a lot of people. and yes covers trips to grocery, etc.

being able to charge up at home instead of going to the gas station so often is a big win for plug-in hybrids for those of us who probably aren’t candidates for pure EVs
