77% of African Americans voted for the ban…and African Americans voted at a higher rate than ever.  In fact, exit polls show more African Americans voted for the ban than evangelical christians (77% to 70%)!  That is why I find the gay community protesting churches and the LDS funny…when they should be protesting African American churches in their own neighborhoods, which made the decisive difference.

As for the voters, I agree, 5, 10, 20 years from now they can always go back and change the vote.

As for the California supreme court…look, I am in favor of gay marriage, so don’t attack me on this.  But I am vehemently against courts making up rights.  It is as simple as this; does the constitution guarantee any right to marriage, at all?  No, it doesnt. As for equal protection under the law…the law never said that any man can’t marry any woman.  I understand that this is painful for my gay friends, but I really don’t see a constittutional right to gay marriage.

That is why I believe what I do; that government should not be in the marriage business at all…and it is better to leave ‘marriage’ up to private individuals than citizens at large.  That would allow everyone to live the way they wish, without getting government approval…and why the hell should anyone need the approval of government?
