That is how I feel.
I always thought the recognition of marriage by the government was stupid. That itself, IMHO, crossed the church/state divide. It is an antiquated form of social engineering.
I think we can solve all of this; make marriage a non legal definition. Have government basically give family credits based on children. Allow anyone that wants it family partnership rights. And, I know this is controversial, but allow polygamy.
Like I said, I am pretty libertarian on the issue.
But, I am again shocked that this might pass in of all places California. Do you think the high Black vote helped it to pass? (looking at polls, blacks are among the most anti-gay group in american…obama hurt this proposal?).
