Admittedly my statement was vague. No I disagree with him on the first point; but if we posit that there was going to be an invasion and occupation of Iraq then I agree completely with the second point. Truthfully I find this to be a little cognitively dissonant because the two parts are inexorably linked. I don’t think you can say it was the right thing to do in retrospect unless it was handled in a reasonably appropriate fahion.
