    Good point.  If a deputy sheriff can’t do it, how can a fumbling amateur?  Also, it is hard to imagine a teacher shooting a student under any circumstances, just as a doctor shooting a patient in the hospital.  Such behavior is normally such a career-ender, I think it would be really hard for a professional to overcome their natural instinct to NOT kill.
