That is a very good point. However, there are some “borderline” teachers who are more than able to pass under the radar yet might do something inappropriate such as show off the gun, not secure it properly, or use it inappropriately after losing his temper. However, for the reasons you gave, I would agree it should be allowed. Just one or two teachers in a school who are armed could stop a disaster.
