    (1) Contributing factor is also declining stock market and shrinking retirement accounts delaying retirement.  The feeding frenzy of past did coincide with a bull market.

    (2) [b][u]Greed[/u][/b] runs rampant amongst groups.  Giving up a relatively small fraction of total yearly pay per partner is not even considered to hire another associate and make things better.  Graying rads in their 50s would rather risk health and happiness and have slightly more fat at bonus time.  Most have more cash in their accounts than they will know what to do with.  But their kids and wife(s) will have much fun once they croak!  Death bed regrets for sure.

    (3) Uncertainty over future reimbursement, taxation, etc

    (4) Telerad filling the gaps
