Depends, the best resource is to learn by doing. I house hacked my first property, a condo in Hawaii. Forums and books are low hanging fruit but they used to be a lot better with less noise. Network, meet with brokers, fellow investors, lenders, etc. Buy property, learn the lingo so you can learn to analyze what is a good and bad deal within a few seconds of looking at the packet, and generally learn how money works, how debt works in real estate (why you are paid 5 ways with leveraged real estate and why the US has the best tax benefits for real estate investors), and once you get really into it you’ll realize that traditional retirement advice and investing in paper assets will take you 10-20 years longer because it does not produce cash flow that replaces your day job income, and the tax incentives are poor compared with RE investing.
Good stuff, thank you!
