    Although being a military officer adds some additional challenges, its somewhat easier being in the military since – no school debt – 50K salary as a med stud, 110K as a resident, and generally the daily volume is a lot slower as staff (with some exceptions). I put in probably 50% of my idle time into learning the real estate investing craft (it is a SKILL), and now built a portfolio that splits off ~13-15K/mo in net cash flow that takes a few hours of my time every year (mostly private placement syndications as an LP), also I don’t claim nor need a $15M net worth like some others do on here, I just focus on replacing my day job income to achieve financial freedom which I’ve done.
