    Nights have their downsides too although the time off is amazing of course.
     
    Getting a lighter employed or lite academic gig with more time off (even for less pay) is a good middle ground also. Little less stress on the body compared to flipping schedules every few weeks.
     
    I see a lot of people jumping into the big $$ partnership tracks and getting worked to the bone to make their extra dollar. But a well run PP is probably the best outcome and hey it’s hard to turn down 6-7…but a chiller life making 4-5 ain’t that bad especially for the difference after taxes.
