Maybe FIRE is not a goal or you’d rather spend on certain things that preclude some savings – which is fine.
But outside of VHCOL areas it’s asinine to think that 10k post tax per month isn’t enough even with a family. Millions on people raise their families on far less than that and at pretty decent standards of living.
