I’m beginning to think a rad needs 50 per rvu to afford Cleveland- at least in the decent parts.
Not at all.
Cleveland is still a cheap-ish town. What I am doing is building a full custom modern home on a prime piece of lakefront real estate with city views in what is arguably the city’s premier neighborhood, leafy and peaceful and safe but barely 5 minutes from downtown.
This is a 1%er activity we’re undertaking.
A million bucks here still gets you a very nice house in a very nice suburb with very good school districts
As a rad or other physician you should be able to get into any number of really nice suburbs and into a really nice house at less than $1m.
Real estate in spots seems pretty sparse. Not a lot on the market. New stuff out by me east of cleveland is like $500k and up. I’m surprised a lot of people aren’t priced out of the market at this point.
I think people are getting priced out. Hence the growing popularity of pre-fab homes like Ryan Homes, though these are also getting more expensive…Groceries, gas, utilities, cable, education, everything getting more and more expensive. Theres gotta be a breaking point
