    Yes. Problem is our Paleolithic brains are no match for the molecule of more-dopamine. It’s designed to make you crave more and then feel lacking which will motivate you to take part in repeated reward seeking behavior (eating, shopping, making money, acquiring “stuff”, sex/online porn, drugs/alcohol etc).  Consumerism/digital age is a dopamine candy store on steroids.
