If being paid per read, what are the typical rates per modality?  What are good rates?  I’m interested in MRIs, CTs, USs, CRs.  Thanks.

Depends immensely on location and time of day. Be more specific. Oh, and I would discourage anyone from publicly giving specific amounts. Too many non-radiologist trolls on this board…

Suggest you look up rates for Medicare reimbursement. Those would give you starting point. Depending on where you are, time of day/night, and volume rates will vary from about Medicare to up to 2x Medicare.

It all depends on the practice setup.

For example, many radiologists in my area get paid 30/RVU.

I myself get paid around 70/RVU.

I know some academic radiologists who get paid about 90-100/RVU. If you have more questions, you can message dergon.
