  • Keck School of Medicine of USC Nuclear Medicine Fellowship 2025-2026

    This program provides a broad educational and clinical experience in all aspects of nuclear medicine principles, imaging and therapy, including PET-CT (Siemens Biograph 64, at the USC PET Imaging Science Center and a Philips Gemini 16 slice PET-CT at the Los Angeles General Medical Center). Radiopharmaceuticals include FDG, DOTATATE, PSMA, Axumin, Cerianna DaTscan, radium-223, Lutathera, Pluvicto and research with amyloid and tao agents. The Division of Nuclear Medicine now has a Nuclear Medicine Clinic at Los Angeles General Medical Center and a new Theranostics Center at Norris Cancer Hospital of USC. We perform 250 treatments with unsealed radiopharmaceuticals per year.

    Our Nuclear Medicine faculty is internationally known with over 900 publications with more than 45,000 citations. Fellows learn the basic principles of radiotracers, including, nuclear physics, radiopharmacy, radiation biology, radiation safety, and clinical diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine. This includes 50 hours of formalized basic and clinical lectures and labs. Nuclear medicine faculty are trained and experienced in CT and residents get substantial training in CT technique, supervision, and reporting, training is at the Los Angeles General Medical Center, Norris Cancer Hospital, Keck Medical Center and the USC – PET Imaging Science Center. This 12 month program is appropriate for radiologists. Successful candidates are eligible for the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology-Nuclear Radiology certifying exams.
