Ukraine stayed quiet during the  Trump-era  … now they’re starting to talk
There was a consistent message from Ukraine’s leadership over everything from the Trump campaign’s dirt digging to the country’s central role in the first impeachment proceedings: No comment.

But now, as the Biden administration settles in, some close allies of [link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/12/13/trump-promised-zelensky-white-house-meeting-more-than-dozen-other-leaders-got-one-instead/?itid=lk_inline_manual_3]Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky[/link] are opening up about one of the longest-running dramas from the Trump era the blitz of meetings, messages and public statements in Ukraine by former president Donald Trumps personal lawyer,[link=https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/giuliani-biden-ukraine-russian-disinformation/2020/10/15/43158900-0ef5-11eb-b1e8-16b59b92b36d_story.html?itid=lk_inline_manual_3] Rudolph W. Giuliani.[/link]

Among the accounts emerging from Ukrainian officials is a July 2019 phone call between Giuliani and Andriy Yermak, formerly one of Zelenskys top aides and now his chief of staff. Yermak said the conversation was the first direct contact between Giuliani and the Zelensky administration and, until now, was only discussed in general terms.

The new disclosures from Kyiv do not offer any bombshell revelations about Giulianis dealings. But they help fill in some blanks on his frantic and unsuccessful quest to press Ukraine to make statements seen as potentially helpful to the Trump reelection bid.

Its been a year of turmoil for the country, and for my family and me. Im no longer at the National Security Council. Im no longer an officer in the U.S. Army. Im living in the great unknown, and so, to a great degree, is our country.

But because Ive never had any doubt about the fitness of my decision, I remain at peace with the consequences that continue to unfold.

This is closest thread I can find with Lewandowski in it .

The Fall of Corey

Many of you are waking up to the news that Trumps SuperPac is shocked, shocked to discover that Trumps uber-lackey Corey Lewandowski sexually harasses women, which, as we know, is absolutely unacceptable and intolerable behavior for anyone other than the P*ssy Grabber-in-Chief himself.

Corey Lewandowski, a longtime political adviser to Donald J. Trump, was removed on Wednesday from his role overseeing a super PAC supporting the former president after a donor accused him of making unwanted sexual advances and touching her inappropriately at a dinner in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

His replacement? The ethically-challenged former AG of Florida. Because, of course.

{When you’re so toxic that Pam Bondi is the upgrade}

As Maggie Haberman notes, its unclear whether Coreys exile will be permanent, since he has managed to wiggle himself back from disgrace in the past. But, she writes, in a sentence that deserves a place in a museum of American politics, Aides to Mr. Trump insist this latest incident is different, particularly because it involves a donor to the former president.

In other word, asses may be grabbed and thighs fondled, but the donor class shall not be molested. The MAGAverse has standards.

ICYMI, Politico had the story of Lewandowskis handsy lechery and it makes for an amazing read. I wont spoil it by dwelling on the details of his repeated attempts to grab, touch, grope, and maul a Trump donor named Trashelle Odom. Suffice it say that both alcohol and assholery were involved, and it seems supremely unlikely that this was anything close to Lewandowskis first offense.
Alexander Vindman Sues Donald Trump
Retired Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman has sued Donald Trump and several of his allies, including his son Don Jr., over what he describes as a conspiracy to shut him up ahead of his testimony in the former presidents first impeachment trial, the [link=https://www.thedailybeast.com/alexander-vindman-sues-trump-donald-trump-jr-fox-news-allies-alleging-conspiracy-to-silence-him]Daily Beast[/link] reports.

The lawsuit describes Trumps actions as an intentional, concerted campaign of unlawful intimidation and retaliation against a sitting Director of the National Security Council and decorated military officer.
