According to three senior officials on the transition team, a plan to evict the press corps from the White House is under serious consideration by the incoming Trump Administration. If the plan goes through, one of the officials said, the media will be removed from the cozy confines of the White House press room, where it has worked for several decades. Members of the press will be relocated to the White House Conference Centernear Lafayette Squareor to a space in the Old Executive Office Building, next door to the White House.

Said one senior official: They are the opposition party. I want em out of the building. We are taking back the press room.

Considering the lack of courage and accuracy the media has shown on Trump up to this point, no big loss. The media has self-castrated. They did in in the Iraq War run up & they are doing it now.Media “courage” and “reporting” is largely an oxymoron.

Trump will continue to emulate his hero, Putin in control of the media and granting access and using empty props.

You forgot to mention they only have 49 chairs in the current room and it’s over packed and it’s a logistical nightmare per your source.

What…They can’t walk over when called upon? Who said they have to be right down the hallway? It was Nixon that brought them in closer.

Except it has to do with seeing the press as an opposition party, as stated:

As the US public apparently gets most of their news from RT, it would be most efficient to use RT as the sole outlet.

          Breitbart IS the whitehouse 😉

Silly feudal system with assigned chairs and restricted access. Put it in the conference center and make it accessible to more outlets.

Scottish newspaper used it’s TV listings to describe Trump inauguration as a “nightmarish” episode of the twilight zone

Looks like he wants to choose who gets a seat in the room.
