  • Steve Scalise: the New Year baggage for the GOP

Posted by odayjassim1978_476 on January 5, 2015 at 7:31 pm

can the GOP breath beyond this man who describes himself as David Duke without baggage
and now Duke is dictating how Scalise support should be maintained or he will release names.  The GOP need to tap both Duke and Scalise on the shoulder or they lose all credibility.  That chapter in our history will not be tolerated. Dump the whip!

I would like to see Dave Duke release the names.

Nobody should associate with someone unless they also are comfortable with such associations being made public.

I’d love to know who Duke’s secret buddies, pen pals, sympathizer sand wanna bes are on Capitol Hill.

I bet you won’t find and libs or dems in that group.

Not the first governor sent to jail for a wife who couldn’t live on a government salary. Marv Mandel of MD spent 19 months in the clink until Reagan sent him home.

McDonnell was not convicted of taking money in exchange for an actual official act. The only person he ‘extorted’ was showering his wife and family with gifts and loans.
Blago was convicted of taking cash in exchange for 3 separate public acts.

yeah but Rod had the tapes/ initial no verdict/cojones(so the feds were like ok we will try and try and try again) and not the wife drama to throw in there for sympathy
wonder what the wife will get
check out Dinosaur 13..a CNN film about a guy( with his assistant named Sue) who found the dinosaur Sue in South Dakota and got sent to the  Fed pen…on his first day of jail, one of the guards looked at his paperwork and said have you seen this and then let’s him read why he was sent to prison on the papers provided by the government..the papers said charges are; Failure to fill out forms
The guard shook his head and said man you must have really pissed somebody off
McDonnell caught an angel wing today because the minimal sentencing suggested was 10 years but maybe the FEDs were like we sent a message with the verdict

Turns out the guy who organized the conference denies that Scalise actually spoke at the conference itself. Even politifact acknowledges so much.

Looks like this story is right up there with the ‘Obama is a kenyan muslim reptilian from outerspace’ that are breathlessly forwarded in the right wing nutter circles.

why did Scalise apologize…nothing wrong done but a reporter says he said he is David Duke without the baggage…that’s like waving the white sheet

Mh, yeah, sounds a lot better if the story is told that way. He was convicted of a money laundering offense.

well the whole documentary is fascinating like as the US are we going to let this guy be able to pick something up off USA soil and have the ability to sell it to whoever when it was found on land that has been placed in an Indian trust and  permission is required from the US govt for the land to be sold(because a judge ruled the fossil as real estate)
Also, the US had to be thinking imho that the greatest archeological finding in history is not going to be sitting in some small museum in SD…that will be displayed in a major international city.  The Sotheby’s auction was fascinating and Mickey D’s and Walmart made the best price for it to stay in the US and be displayed in appropriate site
was that really laundering because as they pointed out you would be charging a whole lot of people for what they described in the film

Doug Wilder(ex-VA gov) got feisty with the prosecutor as he vouched for McDonnell…not sure if I heard any statements from him on why the NYPD could not just give Garner a summons that day..anybody here hear anything from him or has it just been radiosilence
