  • StatDx opinions

I used StatDx a decent amount during training. Is it worth the money for a PP rad? I am leaning toward no, but was curious as to how many used it.

I found the user interface and search feature to be painful. Its also off the wall expensive.

We have it. Hardly use it.
dr google/journals and radiopedia work fine

if you teach or study would recommend. But for real time practice, too slow and lots of unnecessary info.

I get free from employer with the cme function.
Ton of information, especially for neuro, with great imaging examples and easy CME credits. Still not entirely comprehensive and often easier to find what Im looking for on radiopaedia or google. The statdx information is likely more accurate and much of it from big names in our field (eg Ross, Osborn, Harnsberger).

Meh. I used to use it in residency. I got it as an attending with leftover educational funds. Now I hardly use it. Its rarely more helpful than radiopedia or searching google by topic and pulling up journal articles. Only get it if you have funds to burn and nothing else to spend them on.

Individual account costs $2300 per year which is just ridiculous.

We didn’t think it was worth it when they jacked the price up. We only had maybe 2 “regular-ish” users anyway and when we looked at it cost/benefits vs something like our RSNA + ACR dues the decision was real easy. Google plus some freebie (or trivial cost) online bookmarking solution will rapidly build you a library of all the reference material you could ever want.

Edit: I would add that even the regular-ish users never went on to buy their own memberships when the group cancelled.

They’ve priced themselves out of the market for individuals.  It’s not worth it, especially when you consider that you have to log in every day…

Bought with my CME funds because there is nothing else to spend them on. Its solidified a few decisions and made me look more intelligent a few times. I like it better than radiopedia. Not worth the price at all if youre paying yourself though.
