Yea, who cares about anyone else but themselves and their families? Let those bastards burn , especially the leftists.
(That was sarcasm).
I’m pretty sure most people in medicine do care, a bit at least.
But, discrimination of individuals based on group identity is starting to meet with a lot of resistance. And the left doesn’t like that at all. They want the power to make everyone ‘equal.’
Good luck.

Even if there is generational wealth among white people so what? I dont see it as a crime to pass on your wealth to family. I dont see it as a crime to want what is best for your own family.
I am certain many famous athletes (who are blacks) will over time produce more athletes. I dont expect the black race to cater to other races. Good for them!
-
I just reviewed the Federal Reserve study on a similar article, and the average inheritance in the study between blacks and whites (their jargon, not mine) was TEN TIMES for whites versus blacks.
But, then you look at the numbers, and the average white family inherited 170k (mainly due to housing) versus 17K for blacks.
So, if you think 170k is going to move the needle for a family of 4 these days very much then you don’t know anything about economics. That’s just not very much. Plus, where do we account for behavioral differences (frugality, etc) in this study?
HINT: THEY DON’T

That’s a median number, so it doesnt really apply to any individual family.
If you think that 170k is chump change, you may want to hang out with some more normal people.-

also I suspect the distribution would be more revealing than just the average– I know a *lot* of people who inherited >> $1M. For the 1% (or probably, for the top 5% or so), I have to think inherited wealth makes a big difference.-
It is uuuuuge
Think what The Donald inherited.
One visit to Europe demonstrates how much money Spain, Portugal, Germany, France and England raked from their colonies all over the world in Asia, South America, Africa. For GENERATIONS.
Generational wealth is the real deal and gets compounded.

And, 170k for an inheritance isn’t that much anymore, dude. It just isn’t. I think you’re just mad that I took a big dump on your social justice warrior crappy article / comparison is all.
And inherited wealth doesn’t contribute much AT ALL to generational wealth in the US, except for maybe the top 0.1% (of which no one in here is likely a member of anyway).
These arguments the left continues to make are just so boring and recycled. You’d think they’d come up with something new at some point, but I just don’t think they’re that creative anymore.

There is no such thing as being non-political. Just by making a decision to stay out of politics you are making the decision to allow others to shape politics and exert power over you. And if you are alienated from the current political system, then just by staying out of it you do nothing to change it, you simply entrench it.

According to Todd Rose, author of Collective Illusions, todays groupthink later becomes the next generations personal opinion. Its because people are wired to go along with group opinion and not go against the grain. The problem being that this current woke nonsense is the personal opinion of a vocal minority that seems like a majority because of social media mind virus. So debating these people and speaking to reason is important to ensure that todays woke nonsense doesnt become peoples privately held opinion in the next generation. Its all about victimhood these days. People that are failures can claim an excuse- the system is against me and its not my fault. Its perhaps the end of meritocracy if we fall asleep at the wheel- something that built this country into what it is.

Yes, all of this has been planned for a long time and the meritocracy was over quite a long time ago. When you forget God you lose principle – the vacuum is filled by other gods (demons), that are your idols. That’s very obvious on this board. A lot of people who have no clue that they aren’t anywhere near as nice or as virtuous as they think they are – never been tested for food or shelter – which would show them and others just how nasty they are inside.-

You don’t know how to even ask the right questions about life, why would I have any answers for you? Ask the president you voted for, that talked about fundementally transforming the nation and “building a kingdom.”
Your kingdom is Medicare, SSA, and insert (blank). And like your view on everything, those will decay and die, just as they are doing – right in front of your eyes.
Yet, you still rebel. It’s quite sad, I’ve seen this throughout my life and it’s clear in history too.

“I love talking about it and my thoughts, but I think it gets in the way of people getting to understand all of you.”
Hetfield added: “I have no idea. I could probably sit down and like everyone on the planet, if you get to talk with them and understand them.”
I can say something analogous to this. I am a physician. I hate politics. It divides people and makes me sad. I’d rather concentrate on the science and the art at hand and how I might, in my role at this particular point in time, best contribute to the life of this individual whose images I am looking at or who I am about to do a procedure on. Anyway, just my 2 cents.-

Woke means anything Conservatives/Trumpers dont like. Like addressing systemic problems like climate or hiding Americas history behind a racist whitewash.
But thanks to Conservatives we know that it was not Peter Thiell, was not the falling value of their bond holdings due to [strike]falling[/strike] RISING interest rates, etc, but was caused by diversity, equity & inclusion policies.

And over at The Wall Street Journal, Andy Kessler [link=https://www.wsj.com/articles/who-killed-silicon-valley-bank-interest-rates-treasury-federal-reserve-ipo-loan-long-term-bond-capital-securities-startup-jpmorgan-bear-stearns-lehman-brothers-b9ca2347]wondered[/link] if the company may have been distracted by diversity demands.
On Twitter, a number of prominent conservatives took this message and ran with it. Donald Trump Jr. [link=https://twitter.com/donaldjtrumpjr/status/1634921788068204544?s=61&t=S3OxNZUOaj7-ZZIUxBKMgA]said that[/link] SVB is what happens when you push a leftist/woke ideology and have that take precedent over common sense business practices.Stephen Miller, a key White House aide to President Donald Trump, [link=https://twitter.com/stephenm/status/1635323368030482432?s=61&t=S3OxNZUOaj7-ZZIUxBKMgA]accused[/link] the bank of wasting its funding on trendy woke BS. And Senator Josh Hawley, Republican of Missouri, [link=https://twitter.com/hawleymo/status/1635349271632580613?s=61&t=S3OxNZUOaj7-ZZIUxBKMgA]complained[/link] that these SVB guys spend all their time funding woke garbage (climate change solutions) rather than actual banking and now want a handout from taxpayers to save them.
It is unclear whether these conservatives are working from the same memo or just share the same narrow obsession.
Regardless, there is no evidence that D.E.I. or any other diversity initiative is responsible for the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank. It is nonsense. And while it shouldnt be taken seriously on its own terms, [b]this deflection is worth noting for what it represents: the relentless effort to mystify real questions of political economy in favor of endless culture war conflict.[/b]
The real story behind the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank has much more to do with the political and economic environment of the previous decade than it does with wokeness, a word that signifies nothing other than conservative disdain for anything that seems liberal.
(corrected)
SVB is what happens when you push a leftist/woke ideology and have that take precedent over common sense business practices. This won’t be the last failure of this nature so long as people are rewarded for pushing this bs. https://t.co/xuthUl6Kdt

The definition of words is now political. If woke is anything conservatives dont like, then the definition of male is anything liberals dont like. Which would also be the definitions of female, life, married, white, law abiding, military, etc.
Dont be so naive to fall into the crap trap of it being about politics. Perhaps, just perhaps, the reason words have different meanings is because we are currently free to have them and have values not based on politics or trump for crying out loud.

Self identifying as being liberal is highly correlated with a diagnosis with mental illness especially among women. Shocker.
Wokeness is the byproduct of liberal depression caused by the corruption of their minds by social media. Now their world view is so shattered and twisted that they need to conjure up victimhood narratives for everything to satisfy their sad pessimistic confirmation bias.
This is what happens when you substitute social media and social justice for God.-

I don’t understand why Chiro thinks a man wanting to date younger, attractive (even foreign) women is akin to being a serial killer. They (women) have a choice in the matter too. And, if adults are consenting, then what’s the big deal with Dream Run’s ‘game.’
It’s the same game that’s been going on since time began. High status men dating younger, attractive females, that is.
And, this same game will be going on somewhere long after we are all gone. Although in the US we might just all evolve into a uni-gender the way this $hit$how is going. Good times…

Wow. I find this whole conversation CREEPY AF. And I graduated from HS in 1989. Creepy is and has always meant the same damn thing. If someone or something gives you a feeling of uneasyness, it is/they are creepy. Some obviously misogynistic DB trying to make it somehow a fault of modern women is…well, misogynistic. I can’t help but picture him “it puts the lotion in the basket”…serious issues man. I actually hope he is just trolling everyone for creepy thrills, and not truly a guy who we will all read about with several bodies under his house.
-
This person can be as ‘creepy’ as he wants, but as long as the women are consenting, then it doesn’t really matter what people think. Plus, if you think that women and men are rational about who they ‘date,’ then you are just ignoring evolutionary psychology. If you are in a healthy, long-term relationship, then you are lucky (assuming that’s what you want).
But, with the draconian marriage laws that we have in this country, coupled with 60 years of aggressive feminism, and the financial devastating of divorce, some rational males don’t believe that the ‘juice is worth the squeeze’ with marriage in the West and would rather date multiple women nonexclusively while staying perpetually single, often in foreign countries.
Plus, women are not happy these days anyway (based on multiple recent surveys), since many have chosen their career over family and as they get to middle age without healthy social connections that a family can provide, many are MISERABLE. Hey, it was their choice after all, which is fine with me. Work kinda sucks, etc.
Also, because women are hypergamous, they aren’t happy unless they can date or marry someone whom they see as their equal or ‘above’ them, financially and socially. The problem is that if you wait too long as a woman to marry because of your career, then you are older and much less attractive than you are in your 20s. This is where women essentially destroy their own romantic choices, sadly. Men mainly just want ‘young, hot, and available.’
Plus, as men get older and get more social status and money, then they can just date younger women. Also, social media tends to give women, but usually not men, an overinflated sense of their own attractiveness, due primarily to online male attention (simps), which leads to women overestimating who they ‘deserve’ as a mate or whom they deserve to date. It’s a mess.
Some of these guys/men just recognize these socio-sexual dynamics and are calling BS on it, OR are just dating younger, hotter women in other countries where feminism hasn’t taken hold as much. They (these guys) are just optimizing their own evolutionary goals (unlimited sexuality to unlimited mate selection), and PEOPLE DON’T LIKE IT.
I get both sides conundrum, but don’t critize these guys too much unless you see the whole story and understand why they are acting this way. It’s more rational than you think.

ITT: sexually repressed, involuntarily celibate men who need mail order brides to get laid making lots of incompetent generalizations. You do you.

I totally agree. He has the freedom and right to pursue whomever he wants. I just think he has had a few (maybe 10? 15?) experiences with US women that didn’t end how he wanted, so he says all US women are fat, overly confident, only interested in money, etc. Just because he was unsuccesful dating. The USA has a lot of obesity for sure. Much more on the average than other nations. But we also, in my esperience and in my estimate, have a larger group of people who are healh conscious and exercise regularly. More so than other nations. There are not a lot of other nations who spend as much time in gyms, running, etc as the USA. Maybe biking is more common in some European nations, but exercise in general, I think the US is above the curve. This also raises another point. The people who are more health conscious also tend to be much more confident, so there’s a problem. A man looking for a subserviant submissive mate probably has less of a chance finding one who tries to stay fit. Because those people also tend to be less submisssive.
But, he can go to whichever country he chooses to find his temporary mate. Bitching about all women in the US just sort of drives home the point that he is a fairly unpleasant person with a huge ego. And I think qualifying or rationalizing his views as the current socio-sexual dynamics legitimizes mistreatment of women.
But thats just my opinion. He obviously has a differing opinion. -

I have been married 20 years, since back when I was an intern and my first paycheck was $1300. It works for me, but I’ll be honest, if for some reason my marriage ended, I don’t think I would consider getting married again. I would enjoy the companionship of women, for sure, but marriage would be a really tough call given how much I would have to lose if it failed and how emotionally / financially devastating it would be. I keep in decent shape and am aging halfway decent, plus I am self-made multimillionaire – why take a chance? Just enjoy life and make the most of your time left – who needs the stress?
I am glad I got married / had a couple kids and I hope I never have to cross such a bridge but you never know and worth contemplating. If you view it like you view any investment, the ROI has potential to be extremely poor .

I have a similar perspective though only married for 10 years and not a multi-millionaire[:(]…Both marriage/birth rates are decreasing in the US for various reasons. Pretty complex/interesting topic with economic, social, biological/genetic, and technologic factors all playing a role…Not sure the precise etiology but does seem like we are increasingly becoming more socially isolated with decrease in quality/quantity of non-romantic relationships as adults. Training/med school were demanding but certainly miss the friendships I had back then.

It all depends on who you marry.
Some of that choice is luck, some not.
Choose wisely. And, I agree about American women.
I wouldn’t just completely exclude them.
My personal experience has been overwhelmingly positive.
Although, certainly there have been ups and downs.

Dude, what are you doing?! You’re asking people to think and beyond that = critically think. That’ll just get more angry posts comin at you. Haven’t you been paying attention to me and the replies to me? LOL, same stuff

You tell me where God is, and I will tell you where Santa and Tooth fairy are currently.
Santa just left Credit Suisse and coming for your retirement funds to be redistributed. The Saudi Arabian dictator donor to Credit Suisse was with Santa.

Indoctrination in self-hate is education.
Mutilation and sterilization are affirmations.
Dependency on the government is freedom.
Obesity is healthy and beautiful
Inflation is beneficial.
Recession is growth.
War is peace .
Poverty is wealth.
Unlimited elective abortions up until the day of birth is healthcare.
Fairly succinct and good summary of the current democrat platform. Where have you gone Bubba Clinton!

A shame Obama wont step up and speak out against all this woke nonsense. A voice of reason that holds weight would be nice. Instead they all fall over themselves to virtue signal and see who can be the most loyal apparatchik.
My favorite thing to watch over the past few years is when they become victims of the monster they created. Don Lemon comes to mind as the most recent example. Silly Don! You thought you were immune from the woke mob?

Agreed. Woke libs are the biggest snowflakes of all time.

Woke is the new States Rights dog whistle for aggrieved whiners to make themselves the victims while they oppress everyone else. The fact that whiney Conservatives cant even define their term proves the case that its nothing more than Conservative Bull-sh1te meant to spoonfeed their own fears. MAGA feeds on fear.
A viral moment.

A comment accurately defines opposition to woke precisely.

She can define “woke” just fine. But she doesn’t want to expose herself. Woke, to her, is a code word that people like her can use to tap into certain listeners’ bigotries while not having to explicitly defend the propriety of those bigotries.

Its the victims that cry about everything they dont like
The people who beatchhed 10 years ago about participation trophies are now trying to take over school boards because their kids feel bad because wealthy southerners owned slaves and abused and extorted them for 250 years
The same snowflakes are also upset because their kids are confused because one of their classmates has 2 moms or 2 dads
The same snowflakes who
Used to not want government intruding in their lives now want government to tell a woman than cant take a pill because they might be pregnant and they want to tell a 12 yr old that she deserves to carry her uncles babyThese same snowflakes also lost an presidential election by 8 million fng votes nationally but are somehow convinced they actually won
I can go on and on and on about these victims

Why would a puppet prostitute tell the truth? He got paid his whole life for deception and lies, doing the bidding of his handlers. This is obvious stuff. Bathhouse Barry never cared, bro

If I recall, Dreamy, under another sock name, bragged about his success with compliant Asian women whose services he paid for?
Now he’s all sour grapes on real women with whom he can’t have a relationship? They expect an adult, disqualifying them from Dreamy’s consideration.
And he’s complaining about “woke.” Just confirms my above post about what “woke” really means to those people.
AM is certainly getting some very weird people from under rocks posting these days.-

That wasn’t me. I think it was a guy who is also super intelligent and does Real Estate. That guy isn’t all that into BTC, like I am. Ha
Try again – paranoia runs deep around these parts.
