Private practitioners and business owners does social media advertising work?
Posted by poymd25 on November 16, 2020 at 6:17 pmHi all,
I have started a new boutique community based private practice. For those who might know, do you think I should put much energy in to social media advertising to grow my business?
Thanks so much for your valued advice.

Not if you are traditional radiologist. We dont bring in patients. They (patients) to dont go to seem out a particular radiologist to read their study. Not sure what you mean by boutique. Most radiologist group reply on the hospitals/other physicians to bring in patients and we simply read what comes across the PACs. Are you planning to change that model by boutique?

What does boutique mean, like you scan people head to toe MRI for a check up sounds like iv hydration therapy

Yes. It works. You want to be the first click that shows up on google when someone enters ‘mammogram xyztown’. You want to have a facebook presence (for the old people) instagram and yes, you have to dance on TikTok (sorry).
But for the most part, you just have to bribe primary care providers and orthopods with fistfuls of cash 😉-

Boutique radiology is like friendly fire.

I’m guessing OP is a IR doc. If that’s the case – yes, social media etc is very important. Especially if you are doing interventional oncology or interventional pain procedures, veins, etc.

Thanks. That seems to be the message! I only do cardiac and chest CT and MRI.
