Pay per study?
Posted by y.rajshekar on May 14, 2023 at 9:11 amSome of the pay discussed here are a lot higher in PP when divided per study than what I get paid per click and I would like to see what a CXR and CT AP should pay in ER setting with short TAT expectation and moderate to high acuity.

Salaries and per click rates are very different things.
SNACman gets paid a pittance per study and makes it up with prodigious volume. A VA or academic may be paid much more per study than a PE or hospital employed doc but have overall lower ‘salary’. PP will depend on payor mix and rates and can have other things like hard assets that influence total income. I don’t mean to be condescending, you probably already know this.

Those isolated examples will depend on factors noted above, if you’re per click then it depends on what you negotiated. Corporate entities will pay you crap per click.

salaried radiologist for a tertiary center. weekend extra call duties are fairly lucractive for us. it ends up being about $15 per chest xray and $100 per CT-
Sign me up for a part time gig. I’ll be your x-ray man and crank out 120 xrays in 2 hours every day for you. You can even leave me the arthritis hand xrays.
