  • PACSMan Webinar Series

Posted by jonhanse_770 on July 17, 2023 at 7:08 am

I am putting together an educational webinar series and wondered what was important to people to hear about. If you could please take a minute or two to review some of the titles I proposed and identify the top 5 or 6 of interest in your reply Id greatly appreciate it. Also, to make it easier you can just use the # next to it. Lastly, if I missed anything you would like to hear about please feel free to add it to the list as well.
    Thanks!!

Hi Mike – consider Pacs and Worklist features. What features do rads actually want?

Hi Mike – How about a session around integration expectations? RIS/PACS/VNA/EMR/Voice-dictation/AI/other… What should be expected as a minimum level of integration amongst the systems? How to judge a vendor’s ability to partner with you to get a system integrated in a way where the workflow actually works?

I have seen too many workflows where people have great systems that don’t talk to each other effectively. Average tools can be made above average when tightly integrated… but I have seen the industry leading systems turned into average by the lack of integration to make them work effectively.

      That would be FHIR.

At a minium most PACS have RIS/EMR/PACS and dictaton integraton, How well they all work together remains to be seen.

VNA’s are hit and miss and technically no one has a VENDOR NEUTRAL  archive- just one in name only. VR (Voice recognition) is getting much better but still not perfect. AI is for those risk takers who have a lot of money to experiment with in the hopes it will improve the rads productivity. Some times it will sometimes it wont.

The HL-7 FHIR (Fast Health Interoperability Resource) standard is supposed to allow everyting to come together seamlessly but not every vendor has adopted ir implemented FHIR yet and not every area has it working either (AI for one). A lot of companies have just started with FHIR even though the standard was established over a decade ago. Many companies still use custom API’s in their system design so….

If I cant do a specic webinar on itegration expectations I should be able to intergate the discussion into one of the others…

        Thanks for your feedback!!
