  • Monitor recommendation and specs

Posted by zwfriis_936 on May 5, 2023 at 6:50 am

I know this has been posted about not too long ago, but I cant seem to find the thread.  Can you all recommend a monitor and CPU/specs for a home telerad workstation.  Dont need anything too crazy, but want something that is very functional obviously.  Thanks

this is a thread i bookmarked.

Think it depends on how much you want to spend, if you care at all about the calibration stuff, and if you prefer 1 monitor vs 2 monitor diagnostics.

The Eizo has built in calibration and so does the medical grade LG 32HL512D-B. But they’re both over $3k

The LG UL 950 is basically the same panel as the medical grade one but is consumer grade, doesn’t have calibration and has slightly different inputs.

I have two BenQ PD-2500Q monitors in portrait mode and the setup is perfectly cromulent. There is a little gap between the two monitors when side to side though, cuz there’s a little overhanging notch at the bottom of the monitor and you can’t turn one portrait to the left and one portrait to the right.
