Those of you 1099s who formed LLCs – did you have to get malpractice insurance for both your entity and yourself? Anyone run into a situation where the group youre reading for will cover you as an individual but not your entity, and if so, were you able to cover your LLC separately?

Insurance brokers are telling me I need to cover both with the same policy, which means I have to go get it on my own. But Im not sure if theyre just trying to sell me
    Insurance.

    Thank you

If you have a personal policy getting the LLC covered is just an endorsement.

Tricky if you get your coverage through the locums provision of your customer. Of course they have no reason to cover your other activities. My LLC owned nothing so I opted to leave it bare. It’s an LLC, so the only asset at risk was the cash in the LLC checking account. That’s not what the plaintiffs are after.
