Thoughts on how this might affect the radiology community? Notably, it’s nearly 6 years (a complete DR training time-period) since Geoffrey Hinton said, “We should stop training radiologists now.”

We are really in need of some productivity boosting innovation. There hasn’t been much of anything recently. There are so many low hanging fruit. Replacement of a radiologist would really be a big software project even if GPT-4 could actually do the job without routine success punctuated by spectacular failure.

The evidence is clear that we should replace administrators with AI.
It would save the healthcare system hundreds of millions and likely save patient lives.
