• End days for Roger Ailes?

Posted by kayla.meyer_144 on July 19, 2016 at 3:32 pm

The Murdoch sons might remove Roger Ailes from Fox due to sexual harassment charges.

Poor Roger, lived by his sword, died by his sword. Limply.

Ailes used Fox revenue to fund political campaigns against his enemies

Fox executives are now looking closely at how Ailes spent Fox money. And what they are discovering is that, beyond the sexual harassment claims, Ailes was also able to use portions of the Fox budget to hire consultants, political operatives, and private detectives that reported only to him, according to a senior Fox source. Last week, according to the source, Fox News dismissed five consultants whom Ailes had hired to do work that was more about advancing his own agenda than Foxs. One of the consultants, Bert Solivan, ran negative PR campaigns against Ailess personal and political enemies out of Fox News headquarters, a source said. A Fox News spokesperson confirmed:
Solivan was recently informed that his services were no longer needed. Solivan, who had previously worked for Fox News as a general manager of the channels website, did not respond to requests for comment.

Solivan worked out of what Fox insiders called the Black Room, an operation Ailes established around 2011 to conduct PR and surveillance campaigns against people he targeted both inside and outside the company.

Meanwhile, Fox executives continue to analyze the list of consultants on Foxs payroll to determine who is doing legitimate work for the network and who was hired by Ailes to do his personal bidding. The senior source said in the days ahead more people will likely be let go.

CNN: Fox News’ 400-page oppo file on Gabriel Sherman

CNN obtained a 400-page opposition research file on journalist Gabriel Sherman, which was compiled for Roger Ailes as Sherman wrote a book about the ex-Fox News chief.

It has all the markings of opposition research about a political enemy which is precisely how Ailes viewed Sherman. The memo, obtained by CNNMoney from two anonymous sources, is a stunning display of Ailes campaign-like strategies. It includes, among other things, property records, voter registration information, and a note that the researchers could find no criminal record for Sherman.

Carlson Secretly Recorded Ailes

Taking on Ailes was dangerous, but Carlson was determined to fight back. She settled on a simple strategy: She would turn the tables on his surveillance. Beginning in 2014, according to a person familiar with the lawsuit, Carlson brought her iPhone to meetings in Ailess office and secretly recorded him saying the kinds of things hed been saying to her all along After more than a year of taping, she had captured numerous incidents of sexual harassment.

From one recording: I think you and I should have had a sexual relationship a long time ago, and then youd be good and better and Id be good and better. Sometimes problems are easier to solve that way.

This seems like a pretty pick up line.

If Trump loses, history will show that Trump destroyed FOX news. Too many of FOX news’ key people sold out principle and became Trump sycophants. Ailes was personal friends with Trump and made sure that he was constantly promoted. Ailes’ loyal employees followed suit. Megyn Kelly was one of the few who dared to go head to head up against Trump and got hung out to dry. She may be the next one to leave FOX. It sounds as if there is internal warfare at FOX between the Trump sycophants and the real journalists.

Heard on PBS it’s up to 11 sponsors pulling ads from the factor. I remember a while back he was being sued by someone but Apparently Bill has a problem with sexual harassment. Given that they canned Roger I wonder if Bill might need eyes in his back.

Former Fox News  Anchor Ed Henry Sues CEO
Former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, who was fired from the network after being accused of rape, is suing Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott, accusing her of defaming him as a sex criminal, [link=https://www.mediaite.com/news/ed-henry-sues-fox-news-ceo-suzanne-scott-alleging-she-covered-up-affair-between-network-president-and-employee/]Mediaite[/link] reports.

Henrys suit also alleges that Scott accused him of sexual misconduct while covering up an affair between the president of Fox News and a subordinate.

Said a Fox News spokesperson: We are fully prepared to vigorously defend against these baseless allegations as Mr. Henry further embarrasses himself in a lawsuit rife with inaccuracies after driving his personal life into the ground with countless extramarital affairs in a desperate attempt for relevance and redemption.
