  • CMS reimbursement cuts 2024

Posted by erasmopa on July 16, 2023 at 5:58 pm

Obviously reimbursements have gotten cut every year for ages, but the last two years its a bit comical. Last year it was ridiculous in the setting of high inflation. This year it seems even more ridiculous given the shortage of radiologists. The people at CMS must be such, such morons.

And practically speaking what does this mean? I think hospitals will have to accept subsidizing radiologists as a normal part of business. I dont see rad salaries going down as long as there is a shortage.

I fully get your point. However unless legislation is passed to reform CMS, they will continue to do more of the same.
